“I’ve tried a lot of bags, and finally found the perfect one in the Mailbag. There are two separate main compartments, one zips and the other under the flap so I can store my iPad in one and not have to have it interfere with any other articles in my bag when I don’t need it. It has a slim profile, but deep bottom so there is plenty of room for what I need to carry without it looking and feeling bulky. The adjustable strap is icing on the cake. If you carry your iPad daily, you need this bag.”

“This bag is absolutely amazing! It fits everything you need without looking too bulky, and the crossbody design frees up your hands. There are three large pockets and one small zippered pocket on the back. The first pocket under the flap is perfect for holding a notebook (I bought the matching Paisley Meets Plaid Notebook) the second pocket is a bit larger and is able to fit my iPad perfectly (even in the case)! The next pocket is very accessible at the top of the bag, it’s a zippered pocket and is perfect for your wallet, keys, sunglasses, etc. The last pocket is a small zippered pocket on the back of the bag, it’s perfect for gum, [lip balm], pens, or whatever small items you need. I am definitely in love with this bag!”

“I am not a person who usually carries a crossbody bag but I purchased the Mailbag in Paisley Meets Plaid and absolutely LOVE IT! I can just drape it across my body and go…hands free shopping, etc. This bag has so much room and you wouldn’t expect that. Everything I fit into a large bag, fits comfortably in the Mailbag with room to spare. This is a must for any student, parent or grandparent who likes to have their hands free to do other things.”

“The only word to describe this bag is AWESOME! It has the full body of a Hipster (much bigger in width! Includes the two inside pockets and a zipper closure) and outside flap mimics the Saddle Up bag (magnetic closure). When you open the outside flap, there are two compartments: one medium and one large. You can honestly fit an iPad inside the large compartment, that’s how big it is! It sure is a great bag! I have a new favorite crossbody!”

I love the crossbody purses from Vera Bradley. I’ve gotten the hipster, the saddle-up, and my friend bought me the mini-hipster for my birthday. The messenger, however, looks like it would be the perfect bag- a little bigger than the hipster! I haven’t had the opportunity to buy one yet, but it is definitely on my list of must-haves!

I am in LOVE with this bag!!!! I couldn’t imagine a better purse. I have the regular hipster in a ton of colors. This mail bag is great for day to day use and even better when traveling!!! My best friend has one and I’m totally jealous!!!!!! It holds just the right amount of stuff and doesn’t weigh shoulders down. This bag is super trendy and chic and perfect for my teaching needs! I am a student in college studying to be a music teacher and I have been looking for the perfect bag to put all my things in to teach my private lessons and something to take all my supplies to observations for. I would love to have a mailbag because, I’m always on the go win my son who has Autism. So I need my hands free to help him. And I have to carry so many things in my purse, so the mailbag would help out with that. Having all the compartments and just the right size. Plus I have to take my son’s tablet so he can play while we are gone., and now I would have somewhere to put his things and keep mine completely seperate. Because he is to old for a diaper bag and this would let me just carry one bag instead of three or four. That would be AWESOME!!!
I have the older version of the mailbag and I got highly frustrated with the long front flap and the lack of space in the interior . The new version looks like a HUGE improvement from the older version ! I need a crossbody bag that can carry the basic necessities and plus a little extra . My wife loves all things Vera Bradley, but she has had her eye on this style since it was first announced. She loves the crossbody styles and this one would be perfect for her.

My first Vera Bradley was the original mailbag in Imperial Toile, and I sill use it a ton! This updated style has a lot more pockets which would be exceptionally handy. I love crossbody bags like the Hipster and Saddle Up, and this looks like it has the PERFECT amount of space for day to day or even school use! I might just have to buy one only these if I don’t win!

I have the old mailbag, and it is almost the perfect bag. Sounds like the improvements make it *the* perfect bag. I use my mailbag to go to and from college each day. It holds my wallet, keys, water bottle, phone, Macbook Air, and whatever else I need for the day. I love the cross-body, hands-free style. I am a guide dog handler, so one hand is always taken up by my dog’s leash and harness handle, and I hate having the other hand bogged down by a purse. I need a large-ish bag to carry all the day’s supplies for myself and my dog, but I like bags that aren’t bulky. The mailbag sounds like pretty much the perfect solution.
I’ve always been a hipster/crossbody girl as I’m a college student and always on the go. The new Mailbag design perfectly accommodates all of my needs! Whether you’re running to class, the store, shopping, traveling, or on an outing, there’s not a day that this bag wouldn’t have enough space for you! It fits slim to the body (even when full), but it doesn’t look bulky on my small frame. Like previous people have commented, it is perfect for carrying an iPad (even in my Vera Bradley case). Vera Bradley really listened to everyone’s comments and concerns on updating the Mailbag and I think y’all really did an amazing job. Right now, I use a Quick Draw in twirly birds navy, which I LOVE to use when going shopping and just out with friends, but I really need something that can fit an iPad, a notebook, and a pencil bag without looking too bulky, and I think the mailbag would be PERFECT. I LOVE my Hipster bag and this would be the perfect sister to it! Sometimes I have too many things to carry that make my Hipster bulge and not sit very well on my side, so this would be a great bag to solve that issue. The crossbody strap is so convenient! I love the flexibility of the crossbody style. I have an old-style vintage VB mailbag and would love to try the new one! Actually one of my favorite things is comparing some of my older VB items to the newer ones. I have three different types of Villager and three different styles of the Hipster!

I love the restyled mailbag! The truth is, Vera Bradley bags fit so nicely on women’s hips without “sticking out” and this bag will look great as I run around on my busy days. I love its ability to give me fast access to my iPad — it’s like a briefcase! I love its other ability to function as a purse with all its pockets! I just got a Mailbag for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. I have to say that this bag is PERFECT for me! I LOVE crossbody bags because with 2 kids my hands are always full, but the Hipsters are too small and the QuickDraw are too big. I was so excited when I saw this bag and so far I am in love!
This would be so much cooler than the bag I am planning on buying for my back to school bag! I love to have the coolest teacher bag around and this would definitely make it that way again!

This would be great for travel! I usually use the VB backpack on trips but this is a great option to keep your hands free!

I love love the hipster and so this bag is a little bit bigger and maybe it allow me to quit carrying the ‘diaper bag’ for my toddler who is getting older and be able to add a few of his things with me!

As a teacher I take my iPad back and forth to school EVERYDAY! Not only would this be a convenient way to carry it – I would look awesome and all the teachers with iPads would be jealous. Of course I would tell them where they could get one…. LOL

The mailbag sounds marvelous! I would absolutely LOVE it! It would be the perfect home for my new ipad. I love Vera cross body bags, because hands-free shopping is so convenient! I think the pockets and separate compartments on the new mailbag are the perfect features for a girl like me who carries a lot around. It would look very cute and professional in Camellia!
I think a new Mailbag would be marvelous! I use the hipster now, but when I want to throw in a diaper and wipes for my toddler (so I can avoid bringing a diaper bag on short trips) it gets a bit too full. Sounds like this would be the perfect solution to that problem!

Being slightly out of the techno world of Ipads, I would use the Mailbag for my colorful quilted notebook which i take with me and use for notations. This bag would be perfect for it!

As my littlest is about to turn one, I’m faced with the prospect if chasing TWO toddlers! I think this would be perfect on days I don’t want to carry my big backpack, but still need hands free!
Finally vera bradley has come out with a larger crossbody bag!!! I think this would be great for air travel because I love to be hands free in the airport but my hipster was always just a little small. Plus since I don’t have an pad, I can slip my nook in the front instead!!

I love this bag it is my new favorite bag from Vera. I use to carry the hipster and it was not big enough and a tote was too big and did not cross over. The old mail bag the flap was too big and you hit yourself in the face when you opened it. This bag has lots of pockets holds a I pad is big but not too big and crosses over like the hipster. Sure, you can use the Mailbag for different things, but the first thing that comes to my mind is for carrying mail. Seriously, when I go to the mailbox, it’s STUFFED with stuff. I get tons of magazines, and the Vera Mailbag is the perfect size to hold my mags and other everyday necessities. It’s also great because it has separate compartments for things like outgoing mail, incoming mail that’s important, and incoming junk mail. I usually get the mail when I’m on the way out, or coming home from somewhere. So this bag is idea for outings AND mail (hence the name).
It would be perfect for air travel … roomy without the hassle of bulky !

Yet again an amazing thing has happened in Vera Bradley world!! I think the mailbag would be perfect for school. There is so much room, and it is very to carry with to every class. But of course it is fabulous!! It is also perfect for a night at a friends house, so simple!
I love that VB got rid of the huge cumbersome flap for a more sleek design. The fact that they redesigned the bag to include a spot specifically to fit the iPad. I carry my iPad all over and I like that it will have a secure spot for it! Add in the adjustable crossbody strap and it’s a must have!

I LOVE all of your bags! This one is the PERFECT size! I am a teacher of 30 2nd graders and a mom to 4 and I have always had a vera that meets my needs! I was just looking at this bag yesterday at the Pittsburgh Store! I must say, it sure does have plenty of room, I LOVE the front flap and slip pockets, the interior is pretty large, after you fill it with books & folders you will still have room for your personal items. This bag is perfect for every student and business woman. I told my husband I want an Ipad just so I can get this bag to carry it in “LOL”

I have carried the “On the Go” crossbody bag for years. I think I have 5 different colors. But now I am hooked on my ipad and when I saw the description of the new Mailbag, I thought it should be the next addition to my Vera collection. I looked at it in person at the Vera Bradley store in the Denver area and hope to someday own one. The reviews I have read make it sound like the Vera designers have a winner in this bag. I would love to have one — Indigo Pop is my favorite of the new colors!

I think this is a marvelous bag because of the multiple compartments that offer more storage than other crossbody bags. Also, it is not too small, but too big so that it would be annoying to carry around for sight-seeing or even everyday use! Looks beautiful in Indigo Pop!
This is a fantastic bag because it’s hands free, has so many pockets, I think it’d be great for travel or a personal item on a plane for someone who is only carrying an iPad and not a laptop. It’s roomy and the front pocket is a great addition, it’s nice to know my iPad will be safe. Paisley Meets Plaid is a great fun color!
I’ve always been a hipster/crossbody girl as I’m a college student and always on the go. The new Mailbag design perfectly accommodates all of my needs! Whether you’re running to class, the store, shopping, traveling, or on an outing, there’s not a day that this bag wouldn’t have enough space for you! It fits slim to the body (even when full), but it doesn’t look bulky on my small frame. Like previous people have commented, it is perfect for carrying an iPad (even in my Vera Bradley case). Vera Bradley really listened to everyone’s comments and concerns on updating the Mailbag and I think y’all really did an amazing job. I will be purchasing this is many colors and also as gifts for friends and family. The function and design of this is timeless and ageless. Thanks again Vera Bradley!!

I love the new mailbag! My local VB store’s manager suggested it to me as I needed a bag to carry my Nook where ever I go. I had everything literally shoved into a Hipster and it was bulging at the seams! I am so glad she pointed it out. I got one in Indigo Pop and would love another one so I can switch things up. It is a great crossbody bag and I highly recommend it if you have more stuff than a Hipster will easily hold!
