I was born in 1982 and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, so I guess you could say Vera Bradley and I grew up together. A little nostalgia: I remember packing my Handbag in Greenbriar with everything I deemed essential at 11 (Mickey Mouse lip gloss, a slap bracelet, Troll doll, etc.). It’s been a few years, and she’s now seen me through high school, college and a baby – a milestone marked with a Super Tote in Peacock – and I have to say, our relationship just keeps getting better.
Our hope for Inside Stitch is that all Vera Bradley fans, whether they have 1 bag or 100, can follow these posts on the weekly happenings of our company and feel their relationship with our brand grow. It’s behind-the-scenes, interactive and so much fun. Ladies, enjoy the Inside Stitch!
I remember seeing girls carrying colorful quilted cotton totes around campus when I was a student at the University of Florida, and wondering where these beautiful bags were coming from. Then the Java Blue craze hit, immediately followed by my first official purchase of a Villager and Large Duffel and the cementing of my love affair with Vera Bradley. When I got married a few years later, my bridesmaids all received a Medium Cosmetic, each in a different color. It just added to the pieces they already had in their collections, which were strewn about the room like a showroom floor.
I’m a Florida transplant who moved across the country (husband and puppies in tow) two years ago for the Web Designer position at Vera Bradley. And one last thing, I’m a blog addict! One of my favorites is Young House Love, a dream read for do-it-yourself amateur home remodelers like me. With Inside Stitch, we hope to share the wonderful things that go on at Vera Bradley, and give all of the content a really pretty place to live.
