How do you apply a pattern as a background wallpaper on iPad?
Touch the square with the pattern. It will fill your iPad screen then touch screen and the “save image” appears. Touch save image and the picture will be in your photos. Hope this helps..Marie

Hi there, I am sure long ago a teen, but I love the Vera patterns and get many compliments on my bags. Many Vera owners will pass you and say “Love your Vera!” I do the same thing when I see a Vera out. I think we have a club going here! LOL We are lucky to have these beautiful bags. QVC sells Vera’s at very good prices too and on the website for Vera, on can get sale merchandise.

I love Dogwood! I even saw a dress on the Lands End cover that looks like Dogwood. Add some fancy yellow pumps and a red necklace and you’re all set!

Absolutely!! The magnolia is the one with 5 petals. I love real Dogwoods but will not get this pattern because it is not really correct. I am actually sad that so many major brands cannot get the right names for the flowers they are using. (Kenneth J Lang has jewelry mislabled, too).
YES!!! Dogwood blossoms have four petals: two long vertical ones and two shorter horizontal ones, forming a cross. The “seeds” in the center represent the thorny crown that Christ wore when He was crucified. At the edge of each petal is a dark red “stain” symbolizing the blood that Jesus shed. As the legend goes, the dogwood used to grow very large and was used for the cross that Jesus died on. Christ, sensing how sad the tree was to be used for such a purpose, declared that never again would the dogwood grow large enough to be used that was again.
Whomever was in charge the design really droped the ball. Basic research would have prevented such a huge mistake. Creative license does not apply here. The dogwood would NEVER have more than four petals, place as they are in a cross.
As much as I would like to have something with dogwood on it, there is no way I would consider purchasing anything in this pattern. Please clean up your act, your products are way too expensive for this kind of error.
Yes, dogwoods only have 4 petals. This looks more like apple blossoms. It is pretty & I did get excited when I saw that dogwood was a chosen pattern. I just wish it was actually a dogwood blossom.
The dogwood doesn’t grow naturally in or near Israel. It is native to Europe, eastern Asia, and North America only. Calm down Marianne Ross.

I agree that Dogwood looks like Yellow Bird. I am thrilled about that, because I have some Yellow Bird accessories that I use with my black VB microfiber luggage, but have always wanted more. Now I can use Dogwood to fill in! I also agree that a lot of the prints look alike. But in this case, I’m happy!
I totally agree! I’ve regretted not buying more yellow bird accessories (I only have 2 pieces) and I like my items to match or coordinate. I did buy the yellow canvas make up bag which is so pretty with the yellow bird and of course solid black items. But now with this Dogwood out, it will coordinate really nice. Whoopee! I am very happy! 🙂

I agree Dogwood looks like the Yellow Bird pattern. I also noticed that many new patterns are similiar to older patterns-they use the same colors with a twist. English Rose is a unique pattern and the colors are different. Please bring more unique patterns and colors out each season. If you are a Vera collector like I am, you do not want to purchase patterns that look close to ones from the past.
I am not fond of flowers in the winter. In fact, most Vera seems to be flower power anymore. Bring on some animal print, plaids, paisley, stripes, etc. Also would like to see colors like deep purple & black. And what happen to red, white & blue for the summer? No more flowers! P.S. Dogwood looks like Yellow Bird. Who is the person(s) choosing all of the flowers?????

This summer we had summer cottage and it was red, white and blue and just lovely. I have a piece in that. I agree with the purple too, as that is lovely for winter also. But I think Vera is basically a flower bag for the most part. I have many and they are all of a floral design. i also have a paisley one too and happy snails is nice too. Plus Ellie Blue is with elephants and a lovely blue pattern. Love them all Vera. Thanks so much.

I agree with Michele on animal prints, plaids, paisley, stripes etc. I love my Night Owls and a really old chicks and eggs pattern on black! Would love more deep jewel tones for fall/winter too – rust, burgundy, teal. Yes, Dogwood reminds me of Yellow Bird and the English Rose looks too much like drapery fabric from the 50’s.
Vera did a summer series in red with a white stripe and red, white and blue trim this year.

I have ordered and returned 3 different patterns in the last 6 months. When paying Vera prices I expect to be totally wowed by the new prints. Just not happening. I am hoping for a wow print.

My disappointment began when Vera Bradley chose to take their manufacturing to China..I loved to buy and give their products as gifts when they were American made ! Now people are not really happy with their products ……it’s karma.
I have to agree with the disappointment about being made in China. I love Vera products but have noticed a real difference in quality.

Then why are we paying top dollar for these things??? I am now going to think twice about my purchase. Why can’t they be made in USA?? I have some older purses and agree, they are better made and I enjoyed the fabric more.

I’m not happy about the “made in China” Vera bags either and have noticed a change in the quality. I’ve collected Vera since the beginning and like many of the older patterns and handbags much better than the more recent ones.
I totally agree! I sent Vera Bradley items to my two English friends, but, before mailing, I cut off the tags that said “Made in China”. It’s difficult to find nice gifts that are made in the USA. Many times I buy nicely made items at craft fairs.
I’ve been collecting Vera Bradley bags since 2004. My favorite patterns are actually the older ones. I, also would like to see darker colors for the winter. A few years back, there was a pretty red and black wool plaid.
Wow…..actually like the new prints and appreciate the request for some of the others; however, I did not know China had become the manufacturing location 😦 I spend well over a thousand dollars a year with Vera for gifts, but I will now have to look elsewhere.
The prices are just has high… but, the quality is much lower… sad.
I really hope you do bring Vera back to being MADE IN USA ! That is one of the reasons I fell in love with them. I also think they were better quality. I still love VB but sad about the move to China.
With a lot of jobs outsourced to other countries, I will only buy made in USA. I didn’t know they were made in China and will now totally stop buying Vera. That’s a shame too- between my daughters and I we must have over a hundred bags and products. I agree about the patterns too- total lack of inspiration. Flowers are too boring- I won’t buy them and the color choices are poor. Paprika, Peacock, and Night Owls are my favorites. From the poor redesign on the web site, lack of originality of the bags, poor quality, and made in China- Vera you had better shape up or you too will be out of business quickly.

I agree- real dogwoods have 4 petals (not familiar with the Dogwood Tree story?? google it!) and the center is red. Not a big fan of this new one. I also like the idea of REAL holiday prints.

I am from the south, and eeeeeeeveryone knows the dogwood story! To me, it is the cutest of the fall and winter prints, but it really should have been saved and introduced for spring 2013, when it blooms! Same as Camellia being introduced last Spring… WHY? Camellia’s bloom in the winter, and that pattern would have been SO much nicer for last winter. And don’t even get me started on the Made in China thing… AND where are you hiding LIZ!?! I miss her cute and quirky ad spots. And yes, to not being on trend– Oxblood is missing (you can’t open a fashion mag without seeing that word), rich hues like jade and cobalt; tangerine was missing ALL last year and it was Pantone’s color of the year. Of course, I am still buying discontinued colors… because nothing new has tempted me for over a year!!!
The center of the dogwood is green until fall when it turns to red.

Agree with a lot of the previous comments. I am also a HUGE Vera collector, but have not bought in quite a while as the patterns are all flowers and look like other patterns from the past. I have decided to begin searching for what I lovingingly call “Vintage Vera” (VV), much older purse patterns in good shape and have been using those purses/backpacks instead. You should hear the comments! Animal Kingdom gets raves, as does my Holiday purses! Old is the new “New”! It feeds my Vera appetite quite nicely!

Someone said the patterns are looking like patterns from years past with a tweak here or there to make it new. If that is the route you are going please consider bringing back or tweaking Java Blue. It was a and still is my favorite pattern. I haven’t liked too too many since. I also look at the new seasons and think maybe this season something will capture my attention but nothing really has.
Would absolutely love to see java blue again as well! It was a great neutral that went with anything.
I have a bag in Blue Lagoon and it is just beautiful. Right now I am using it for a crocheting bag and put velcro on the opening to keep it shut tightly. Love my Vera’s.
I so agree with Debbie!! I would love to see a true holiday pattern or special design, like the Ribbons they did for Breast Cancer Awareness. I LOVE Ribbons pattern…just not “wow”ed by these winter colors. Hope spring colors are better.

I agree with many comments already made. I love Vera… And own many from past years. Would love paisley, or small print as you had several years ago. Neutral colors with smaller sophisticated patterns are what i like! These new patterns are too similar to others.

I like all of the patterns, but they are starting to become a bit repetitive. I agree that there should be more winter patterns, like snow and bare trees, and winter colors, too! If there has to be something bright, then go with red, green and white or put in some grey and blue and purple with a flare of brighter color here and there. Poinsettias would be a good flower to go off of! But maybe there should be more animals in the designs and less flowers (not just for winter, but all of the incoming patterns). Like cardinals and deer for the winter, and maybe some more cultural animal prints. And horses! I’ve been waiting for EVER for there to be something equine related to pop up in Vera’s line. Remember, these are suggestions, and I still love the ideas incorporated into the patterns.
I totally agree. I can’t believe VB has missed out on the equestrian look. My favorite VB’s were the early ones with the animal kingdom and zebras. So many possibilities for lovers of horses, dogs, cats, and wild animals. Maybe VB could work an agreement with the Humane Society to raise funds for the animals.

I would love to see a winter pattern with snow and bare trees…maybe with shadows from the trees. And, to brighten it up, a small stylized red Cardinal here and there.
And, the idea of horses is a great one. It would sure sell well here in Kentucky! Laurel Burch has a beautiful one with a tapestry feel in fall colors. I think it’s called ‘Dancing Horses’.

My mom collects Dogwoods and I was so excited. Dogwoods have four petals! Those aren’t dogwoods! They look like cherry blossoms! I’m for the icat, paislies, and maybe chevron since the floral is getting repetitive and incorrect.

Nothing new and exciting, and definitely nothing that feels like Winter. I seem to be hitting the outlet more looking for older designs like Java Blue…Those were the good old days with Vera. Also needs to come back to the U.S., especially now. I bet we would pay the extra few bucks for American made!

I third the Yay for Java Blue…or maybe fifth or sixth it! It makes me think of another good idea for a pattern – a coffee theme. Coffee cups and pots in different colors, with steam coming up…coffee beans and leaves. Or a tea theme, with teacups in varying stylized designs, and one shown empty on its side, with tea leaves in it. And some floating teabags….think I’ll go have a cup!

When I asked about China manufacturing the products, the customer service person told me that some work is done in China, and some is done in the USA. Was I told incorrect information?
That is correct. I have recently bought several items made in the usa from Vera Bradley retail stores. Just check the tags. They may be harder to find, but they are out there.
I loved Provencal for the Fall…not enjoying these at all. My checkbook will be safe for at least a little while. i too would love to see some real winterish prints, plaid would be wonderful!
Agree with Vera customers who have indicated that the new patterns are too flowery and busy. My favorite is the Twirly Birds Navy. Two colors: Navy and White. Goes with everything. Please consider more neutral colors and go back to manufacturing in the Good Old USofA!!!
I do not like either of these patterns. I agree with the ladies who believe the patterns are getting repetitive. I have purchased a lot of vera over the years but the past few patterns have just fallen flat of my Vera expectations.
Hmmm…Sadly, these patterns are not attractive to me. It seems silly to name a pattern “dogwood” when the printed flowers are NOT dogwoods! What were they thinking? When their products were made in USA, I did not mind paying VB’s high prices and I was proud to be supporting an American business & American workers, but these Chinese products are not worth such a price tag. I won’t be buying this season.

I keep trying to buy a VB but could never find a pattern I would be happy to put out the $$$ for; so tired of the crazy prints & florals, they are all starting to look alike!. You are leaving out a HUGE segment of the population who love the concept of the VB bags but prefer a more classical & sophisticated pattern. Animal prints would be AWESOME for a change, ie cheetah, snake, zebra & leopard! How about stepping out of the box a little Vera?
How about a pattern that does not have spring or summer colors…..skip the white for winter. Like the solids for a change…….and maybe a more classic print rather than the cutesy ones. Really like the Vera bags but need something with a little zing.
I used to LOVE Vera Bradley but have not bought anything for two years because the patterns are repetitive and the colors are getting too bright. I did notice the decline in fabric quality (thinner and a looser weave) and then found out that Vera Bradley has moved its manufacturing to China. Please go back to producing your high quality, unique, handbags and other items in the good old USA! I, too would be willing to pay more for QUALITY!!!
I agree with many of the people that have commented before. I would love, love, love, holiday patterns. I would love holiday patterns in a few styles such as tote bags, Vera, Saddle Up, a smaller one for an evening or event and one for kids. I would really like for these to be for many holidays – working in hearts, shamrocks, easter eggs, pumpkins or turkeys into the patterns. I think people would like patriotic prints or one with a “picnic” theme. I think dog, cat and horse lovers would really like prints for them. I hope we will see some of the ideas people have suggusted. I also LOVE the frill collection so I hope you keep this line!!!

Just ordered the mailbag in Indigo Pop because Vera sent me a $20 birthday coupon, but this will be my last purchase. I did not know that the manufacture was done in the USA and is now done in China. Very disappointing!!!
I agree with Leslie, buy what you like, we all have different tastes and likes. That is what I do in all my clothing. I wear what I like and do not care who does not like it, I LIKE IT!! Enjoy the Veras. I love the Indigo Pop, that is such a nice pattern.

Sorry these are ugly. Bring back blue rhapsody. Or bali gold. Ellie blue was nice too. The dogwood is similar to yellow bird, but yellow bird was way cuter. The roses are eh.. I have seen so many cuter ones, these and last season as well are just boring and ugly.
Please return to the U.S. That will help everyone. Perhaps you could do a special U.S. pattern with state symbols (animals, perhaps?) the way you do special breast cancer patterns.

I would love to see Vera Bradley do a traditional English pattern with horses galloping across the countryside in a hunting scene…reds, browns, greens, black, with plaid. There are so many women who love the equestrian look and it is particularly popular at this time with leggings and riding boots. Please give your consideration to this request.
I have been wondering why the vintage prints go for so much money second hand, now I know why first they were USA made and why buy new when a slightly used vintage bag is way cheaper and made in USA to boot. You are just recreating yourself why bother. Don’t get me wrong I love my Vera but to buy a bag in a print that is another version of a vintage one is rather silly
Why does Vera Bradley keep releasing patterns covered wtih spring flowers and saying they’re for winter? I love ribbons, but I have put my bag up to carry in the spring when the little flowers and butterflies will make sense. And now dogwoods that don’t look like dogwoods and English roses for winter? How about something that looks seasonally appropriate for a change?

I guess I am different as I love the new Floral designs. Lovely colors and I certainly would buy a bag in these colors. I am a lover of bright cheery colors especially here in the frozen north in the winter time. I love most of Vera’s patterns and have many bags and accessories. It is a favorite gift to receive from family too. So thanks Vera for the lovely new patterns. Some of us love them. Shirley

Ladies, you take this too seriously. Whenever a new pattern speaks to you, buy your favorite bag (I have 4 different Hipsters) or try something new… and then enjoy it thoroughly. But if you don’t like the new patterns, just wait about 10 minutes and there will be more to come! Personally I’m thrilled with the Dogwood print and couldn’t care less that it’s not botanically correct. What’s in a name, anyway? Love it, buy it… or wait til next season when you’ll get another chance.
May be taking it too seriously, …. But they are asking for comments from their faithful Customers…..I think this is all valuable input from people that buy their products. Kind of a focus group for them!

Odd choices for winter…I mean, Dogwood? I love watching mine bloom in the spring but I’d love to see deeper, richer patterns. VB, we don’t want you to take recent color palates and remake them, we like fresh offerings & a twist from what you’ve been doing. Whatever happened to cool print offerings like Medallion or the great color pop of Symphony in Hue? I know each person has their own taste but this feels repetitive. I believe I’m heading back to Etsy to be able to get a bag that doesn’t feel like a remake, redo or redundant accessory.
And thanks to those who commented about made in China, I was completely unaware of it and now I certainly won’t be buying any VB unless they come back to USA manufacturing. And thanks, also, to those who talked about Equestrian patterns, I found a few already online from small USA handbag designers. 🙂
I’m not too found of either of these prints. They kind of look like something I would expect to find on my great grandmothers couch. Not something you’d see me carrying around campus or to this weekends tailgate… not really relatable to my age range (college students), all my sorority sisters also agree!
Thank you soooooooo much for the beautiful flowers! Until recently, I did not purchase Vera products because the colors and patterns were dull and boreing. I finally became addicted to Vera when they brought out Mocha Rouge. Keep the bright colors and bring on the cheerful flowers!
Please bring back barnyard animals, pets, and nautical themes soon.
I commented above that I am happy about the Dogwood pattern because I would like a few accessories to coordinate with a few Yellow Bird pieces I have that I never accessorized. However, I also have to agree with many of the posters here about the selection of patterns and colors. I sometimes wonder if VB listens to their customers because it seems I’ve read comments like these repeatedly over the years. Customers are getting tired of all the patterns and flowers. Granted, that is what VB is about but it IS 2012. I think women are looking to ‘trendy up’ the quilted bags and lets face it, not everyone is into flowers and loud colors. I concur with the suggestions above regarding animal prints, plaids, maybe offer a paisley pattern and please, more solids and NEUTRALS. I do not like looking like a Christmas tree when I go out so therefore I never mix my patterns. I will use maybe one stand out travel bag (such as a duffle, weekender OR tote) in a colorful pattern and then coordinate some solids with that. I think VB should offer solids that coordinate with the patterns so that if you want a solid purse with patterned wallet and other accessories you can do that or visa versa-a patterned bag with solid accessories. As for colors, I think they missed the boat this fall not picking up on purples, greys and OXBLOOD which if you look at fashion blogs and mags its all over the net! Plus, some of the winter colors they introduce do not look like winter to me. But to be honest, comments don’t matter much. Sales do. And if their sales are still doing well then they think they don’t need to change. Money talks.
I very much agree, Cheryl. So disappointed that the real stand-out colors of the season like grey and oxblood are completely missing from either the fall or winter lines. And what about cobalt or color blocking…they don’t have to an entire line in these trendy colors but it would be nice to see some pieces to add some pop to regular basic black microfiber too.
I truly love the color blocking idea. Would love that a lot. It is right in style now days and I bet it would go over very big. Great Idea!!
Taking it too seriously? Maybe Leslie is right. Or perhaps we’re writing out of frustration and disappointment. We love our older VB bags, but find that the newer patterns & colors don’t “fit” us anymore. Maybe I am no longer in VB’s target market. 😦

I agree with most of the e-mails. Bought my first Vera, Fall of 2011, since then bought Elle Blue and a backpack Tea Garden. Wissh the bags were made in the USA. Keep the jobs here. Would like a darker color and not so much with the Florals.
What negative comments about such beautiful, wonderful purses that millions of ladies from young to eldery are purchasing daily all over the world. I personnally love each and everyone that I have purchased or received as a gift, from a key fob to a duffle bag to my perfect black, classy, evening bag. I do not plan on retiring any of my Vera items in the new future. Ladies, be happy that YOU can afford these classy purses and remember, not everyone is lucky enuogh to afford just one. Vera Bradley Staff keep up the good work. You are doing a great job. Remember, you can not satlsfy everyone.

I wish they would make some winter scenes instead of flowers. I can think of several – a horse drawn sleigh, a snow covered small town, a snowman in front of a house,deer in the woods… i thought they might do some special things when they went to QVC. Today’s Specials that you could only purchase on QVC and maybe an autoship for different seasons.
Great ideas for winter Vera’s. Love them and would buy some like this too.
I agree with the other comments about bringing back the holiday patterns! I also wish that Vera could bring back some of the favorite retired prints…maybe pick one “throwback” pattern every year. The older prints were so pretty!

I feel badly that I also have never noticed the bags are made in China. I have not noticed that they were not of excellent quality though. They wear well and wash well and serve me well. I like things to be made in our own country also. But I will not give up Vera’s due to that. Love them too much to let them go.
I have been a VB customer for a number of years and have always thought that some level of research was part of the production. A life-long resident of Atlanta, the Dogwood City, I am actually shocked that you have produced dogwood blossoms with anything BUT four bracts. Part of the culture of the dogwood :blossom: is that it is the shape of a cross. Now that I have learned that your production has moved to China, what is the surprise?! I’ll go to the fabric store and buy quilted fabric or quilt my own and make my bags.. At least the final production will be made in the USA.
I agree that the new patterns are very similar to recent patterns. I have been collecting Vera for years, but miss the older, more subtle patterns. The new ones have too many colors, and they are all too bright. There is no sophistication anymore. VB is popular with young teenagers, but has lost a good share of the middle-aged market. I also miss the medium and small sized toggle bags. We need a tote that is smaller, with quilted shorter handles. And yes, please bring them back to the USA!

I didn’t know VB was made in China now. Will now re-think what I am giving for Christmas gifts. I feel real bad about this because my sister loves VB & she is always so happy with our gifts but she works so hard to buy USA & when I tell her where VB is made she won’t want any more. This makes me very sad.
WHOA!! Before anyone writes another comment, I think I have figured it out! I am from the south, and having grown up with dogwoods all my life, AND magnolias, I kept looking at this pattern and sensing something was amiss. Then I enlarged the pattern on the “apron” and Googled “Magnolia” images and BOOM! You’ll catch it, too – that is NOT a dogwood, it’s a MAGNOLIA. Fairly certain- look at the centers and leaf structure and spacing of the flowers. (not sure what the tiny blooms around are but filler) It is not a dogwood for sure. I’m thinking someone goofed somewhere– is it too late to rename the pattern? Magnolias are actually almost more appropriate for a winter pattern, as it is an evergreen, and at least the leaves are around in the winter. Am I right here? That pattern will not fly as a Dogwood in the south! It is VERY much tied to the story of the Cross and Christ – it blooms here at Easter!

Absolutely!! And not just in the South. Here in the mid atlantic I have a beautiful old Dogwood outside my front window that my husband and his Grandfather replanted out there when my hubby was a child. It means a great deal to me. I think they need to change the name…

Vera, I have loved your bags–and have plenty of them, but now will think twice before buying again since they are being made in China. I am so disappointed. Please return the quality and manufacture to the United States of America.
I love Vera bags especially the solid colors which I use most of the year. I save the flowers for spring and summer. I am very disappointed that they are not made in the United States and that will keep me from purchasing Vera bags in the future.
Dogwood looks like yellowbird. I agree about the patterns repeating with tweaks. If we are going to continue this trend revamp the mod floral blue, mod floral pink, piccadilly,and chelse green.
I’d love it if they could bring back mod floral pink so I could pick it up in some of the newer styles. Hands down, one of my fav patterns ever!
Quatre foil , medallion, and chevron prints are quite popular now. Those would make lovely Vera patterns. The chevron print would look great with a personal monogram.
This is another great idea for winter bags. So many ideas here. What a selection there would be if they made all of these patterns.
I think Vera Bradley is losing their signature look. All the new colors since Va Va Bloom look like Vera Bradley impostors. I’m not impressed Vera.
I noticed someone saying VaVa Bloom looks like a fake Vera. I have one and I love it. I get so many compliments on my colorful Vera Bags. I realize not everyone is loving color, but it is cheery and pretty and truly cheers a soul! I love your prints Vera. Please do not change and keep them coming to up.

PLEASE, no more color. I’m calling for NEUTRALS, like VB used to make. One dominant color, a neutral, with maybe one or two subtle accent colors in a smaller scale pattern, like the older patterns were. Bags that can be used for more than one outfit!
I used to be able to carry my VB bag to work at a corporate job wearing a suit, and then wear it on the weekend too. No way could I do that with these new super bright multicolor large patterns, which would clash with any other colors or clothing I might wear.
After a certain age, carrying a large patterned bright colored bag just looks wrong….I too am beginning to wonder if VB doesn’t want our business anymore. Sad, because I still want VB.
Please, listen to us and provide some other options for the more mature customer. ie,
Smaller patterns
Neutral colors
Just look at the retired patterns………..

I think VB is after the “young” crowd with the colors. They seem to have forgotten us, the ones that have supported the line for 20 years! Bring us something our age! And back to the USA! By the way, I think the items that come from China are easy to identify, they have a funny odor to them, especially the ones with plastic lining.
I’m just confused as to how it’s a huge shock that they are made in China, it’s been that way for a while now. I like Vera, I’m not nutso for it, but they’re fun. So c’mon leave Vera alone, they can’t please everyone all of the time.
Kristen, I agree with you, Leave Vera alone. They do their best to produce lovely handbags that many of us out here just love and are so very proud to carry. It is very hard to please everyone on everything. Vera is normally floral designs since inception. I actually love flowers and love Veras. I am sure that they will come up with further designs in the future. My bags are of good quality and Vera is not the first company that has had to manufacture elsewhere. Many, many in our country do and that is just a fact of life whether we like it or not. I am not all that happy about it, but will still buy my bags from Vera as I truly love them.

i love the lightweight nature of the handbags and also the fact that they are machine washable. (debra, i do agree with you about the odor.)
not everyone wants big bold prints, although i actually like some of the new ones, the colors just don’t work for me as i don’t wear brights. would love something cooler and more muted, like vera used to make.
i’m a big vera fan, a customer and a stockholder – and have carried nothing but vera for decades. would love to own vera for the future as well.
So agree. I have been so disappointed in the past year’s choices that I have come to a screeching halt on purchasing purses or anything in the newer colors. Because of arthritis, I love the fabric made purses. Leather in the same size bag is much heavier to start with. Out of desperation, I visited my local fabric shop and bought supplies to make my own. Not all have that ability, so I feel fortunate that I can make my own. I just prefer to have purchased a Vera B bag.
You are so lucky to have the ability to make your own fabric bags. I have many Veras and have not found them to be of poor quality or have a bad smell. I have loved them all and all the accessories I have purchased. Myself, I love color and I love flowers, so am quite pleased with the selections we have.
Thanks, Shirley. I am fortunate to be able to sew well. I just haven’t made made purses for a long time, but love the fabric that I chose. If it turns out well, I can make more for much less than what I have been spending on VB. I’ll save my money for the VB accessories.

I have a case for my book to take when I go to an appt, a camera case, a key case, an e-reader sleeve for my accessories. Plus many bags. I wish I could sew well and make them too. I would like to see some small animal prints again.
To the comment that Vera has been floral since its inception, Vera also had many other prints. Also, the prints were smaller, fewer colors and the bands at the top of the bags were more detailed. Now often there are too many bright colors, and some of the patterns are garish, rather than understated and sophisticated, like French Provincial patterns. It would be nice if Vera offered something like the earlier patterns now and then.
I so agree, mom. All I ask is maybe one softer, more muted refined print a year. I recognize that VB is aiming at the youth market, but please don’t forget us more mature ladies who have been supporters for decades.
I love florals, paisleys, french provincial, all of it…would just like to see a few smaller scale prints more in scale with my size, and also I think for me I am missing the cooler, softer colors that go better with my wardrobe and skin tone. There is plenty for all the other customers who like brighter, clearer or warmer tones already…..
I really liked the “Dogwood” pattern, but since reading about the name goof, I am on the fence. I agree with everyone on the older patterns, they were a lot easier to carry since the print wasn’t so large and overbearing.
I would like to see more smaller, not so flashy patterns. I would also like to see something wintery with snowflakes or evergreens. I think the Realtree pattern in pink would be cute! The colors lime green and gray are really big now and would love to see those colors in a pattern close to Paprika.
I have also noticed the quality is slipping, hate to say it, but more than likely due to being made overseas. I have noticed lots of crooked seams and some not even matching up like they should, but the prices continue to rise.
