We’re simply blushing over the success of the ninth annual Viva la Pink (formerly Tickled Pink). Held for the first time at our new Design Center, September 29 was an evening for ladies to gather together in the name of fun, advocacy and support for breast cancer research.
In addition to delicious offerings from local vendors and a silent auction (including a guitar autographed by Taylor Swift), guests were invited to tour our offices. Some of the stops included a photo shoot with our staff photographer, an opportunity to design a retail space and a peek at Co-founder Barbara Bradley Baekgaard’s office!
As guests settled into the tent, draped in Ribbons-themed decor, with a charming four-piece orchestra, it was time for a very special announcement. This year, the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer’s total net raised was $2.7 million! This will be contributed toward our $20 million pledge to fund research at the Vera Bradley Foundation Laboratories at the Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis, and brings our total donated to $17.65 million!
Our warmest thanks to those who made Viva la Pink, and all of our Foundation efforts this year, such a success.
