Plum Petals

Trend Reporter Liz walks us, color by color, through Fall 2011.

Who doesn’t love a simple spread of florals reminiscent of a pattern from the past? We extracted inspiration from 1940s dress patterns, enlarged them and added a tinge of the simplicity of a delicate Asian floral print. These petals were placed in a palette of plum and lavender with a subtle hint of green on a delicious chocolate ground.

Plum Petals

What can you wear with this lovely ladylike color? Purple, of course! This pattern is also going to look great paired with a cooler gray, brown and khaki.

Fall 2011 colors and styles arrive online and in stores Thursday, July 7!

Absolutely adore this pattern! LOVE it!! It reminds me of looking at a field of flowers, just all these beautiful little flowers everywhere you look! I love the all over pattern, so it looks good in any size Vera item. I was so in love with Purple Punch and so sad when Vera retired it. But now my passion is Plum Petals! I am all about any shade of purple and love floral prints, Plum Petals is my FAVE pattern for the Fall prints, I think my 2nd Fave from all the Vera patterns. When I first saw Plum Petals, it was like Vera made it just for ME!! 🙂 So HAPPY!! Can’t say enough about this pattern, It’s just GORGEOUS, the green adds just enough of a pop of color to enhance the purples. Just LOVE it. So BEAUTIFUL, I want it in EVERYTHING!!
