    • jessica says:

My mom is beyond great! My parents divorced several years ago and my dad remarried but my mom never has, in Oct 2010 my dad became ill and passed away within two weeks of a diagnosis. My mom was at the hospital with my step-mother and made sure she had whatever she needed. Although they were divorced they still shared 3 children, dont know many moms that would be in the same room as the new wife, much less be supportive and caring!

  8. Kristy says:

My mom, how can I discribe such a wonderful person. I’m 33 yrs old and for as long as I can remember my mom has never put herself before anyone else, actually I don’t think that my mom has ever done anything for herself at all. My parents are divorced, my mom has raised three children of her own and she has taken on the resposibility of raising her grandchildren on her own because their parents don’t know how to do it properly. Not only is she raising the grandchildren but she also took care of her own mother until she passed away. My mom is the type of person who would give her last dollar to you even if she needed it, she would give you the shirt off her back in zero degree weather and not think twice. I can never express to my mom how much she means to me and my family. She is the best mom that anyone could ever have. I just wish that for one day I could get my mom to put herself first because she deserves it.
Please pick my mom for this contest so I can show her just what she means to me.
    Thank you
    Kristy Smith

Every day she leaves the house with a smile on her face, even though I know deep down inside this stress is taking a horrible toll on her mentally and physically. I know my mom would love this bag and use it. She left an abusive marriage after 11 yrs and became a single mom with 2 kids. She always put my Brother and me first, and worked hard to make sure we had everything we ever wanted. She worked full time and went to school fulltime- showing us that you are the one who controls what happens in your life and that there is no room for moping around doing nothing. She worked and went to school until she finally received her Masters in Education and now is a teacher at Penn State University. 117. Sarah Davis says:

Last year, my husband left me and my 3 girls (3, 2, & 6 weeks at the time). My mom so graciously took us in. She cared for my children at times when the grief left me unable to do so. Not only does she take wonderful care of those of us in her household, she takes care of my dad’s parents too. There are many things in her life that have taken a backseat to the needs of others. My mom definitely deserves something nice this Mother’s Day…and every day.

  118. Leslie Boyd says:

My Mom is the most inspirational woman I know. This is going to be my mother’s first Mother’s Day since her mother died. I know that it is going to be an extremely tough day for her, and I am trying to make it as perfect as possible. My Mom’s been gone for for almost 7 years. There’s not a day I don’t think of her! Glad to see some back to basic type bags. Love the original styles from the past!

  126. Melissa Mallicoat says:

My mom has been keeping my 5 year old and 2 year old for me while I work ever since they were born. She has done this without pay. She also cooks dinner for us on Mondays when I work so that I don’t have to come home and cook after work. She also helps my 5 year old get her homework finished before I get home from work. She is the best! She loves Vera Bradley, but would never spend that on herself. She would love this purse!!

  127. Leah O'Connell says:

My mom left me a legacy that will live on! She adored children. Mom died too young (age 59) and now I am the “mom” of eight and grandmom of 6 (so far).
I try to do what she did so well…..love my family and make each of them feel like they are the “favorite”. (Mom, you taught me well and not a day goes by that I do not think of you and cherish all that you taught me…)

  128. erica says:

I really want the Mandy. I know I won’t be getting it for Mother’s day since I already ordered VB sunglasses and handed them to my husband, asking him to make sure they got wrapped for me for Mother’s Day. See I am such a thoughtful loving mom and wife that I even make shopping for my day easier. My 40th is a few weeks later, maybe a Mandy then.

  129. Laura says:

My mom deserves a Mandy more than ever right now. She and my dad were boarding a cruise ship for a long-awaited vacation on Sunday when my dad suddenly, and without warning, had a heart attack. Now their trip has to be put on the back burner while she helps her husband of 37 years recuperate. I’m doing all that I can to help and support her (and him, of course) and this would be a wonderful surprise for her. Thank you for considering her!

  130. Gillian says:

My mother is so deserving of this, she has been through so much in the past three years. My father was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and had to have a lung transplant, and my mom was the rock of our family. She really helped us get through it; she faced so many fears during that time, one being driving downtown Philly at rush hour traffic! Last year she also got a job, after having been unemployed since 08 because she had to quit due to my dad’s illness. It’s only part time, but she makes the best of it, and talks like its the highest paying job on the planet–even though we all know it isn’t. And now, she is helping me look at grad schools, and has agreed, when she is off work, to go on trips to visit the schools! I would love to give my mom this bag because I feel that there is no more desrving mom because my mother is completely selfless, always thinks of others never herself, and I want her to have something nice for a change because she sacrifices so much for our family!

  131. Kelly H. says:

My mother has been not just my mother, but my guide and my best friend for my entire life. She has done so much, sacrificed so much for me and made sure that I was happy. And not just me – our whole family too. She is the most selfless, kind person I know. I am so blessed to be able to call her my mother.

  132. Rebecca J says:

I love my mom with all of my heart. She is the strongest person I know and will probably ever know. She has continuously been there for both my little sister and myself and that has not been and easy road for her to travel. I have seen her struggle and cry (she didn’t know that I saw those tears) and I’ve seen her continue on. She has instilled in me the same strength, optimism, faith, and courage that I see her put to use everyday. She is a single parent of two adult children and it is turning in to quite a task for her because she does not drive and works as much as she can. She is an amazing woman and I love her so much.

  133. Angela G says:

Of course everyone on here will express how their mother was the best, and everyone before herself and give the shirt off her back….

My mother is all of this and much much more…

My mother has loved all five of her children and all four of her grandchildren unconditionally, no matter what decisions we have made and direction our lives went. She lives on a fixed income and we are there to help her not just monetary ways but medically also. My mother has a wound on her leg that has not healed in two years.

this Vera Bradley would make her day.

  134. Beth says:

Typically when moms become grandmothers everything becomes about the grandchildren…. the “mom’s” of the grandchildren do what we do and go on living our lives as our children are our main focus.

My mom has always taken the time and compassion to continue to make me feel special and cared for as her daughter…not just the mom of her grandchildren. Even though I am grown with kids of my own, she has never forgotten that she is still MY mom… and I will always be HER daughter. Although as I have grown, she has not only taken on the role of my mother, but also one of my best friends. I look up to her because she has always been able to guide our relationship as it transitioned through life- from child to young adult to adult with my own children.

  135. Cindy Davis says:

My Mom loves Vera Bradley and so do I and my niece and my daughter….so we’re fans that are age 8 to 70! Mom loves unconditionally and takes care of us all…..no matter what……even when it’s difficult! Love, love that woman!

  136. Berdetta says:

What a wonderful Mother’s Day gift!

  137. Ashely Smallwood says:

My mom is the best. She has always been there for me and I no that she always will be. she help support me in any way that she possibly can. All I can say is she is the best momma ever and I love her.

  138. elizabeth coop says:

My mom is the most deserving. A day after turning fifty she was diagnosed wit stage four ovarian cancer. She worked all through her chemotherapy and endured a long four months of it. Went into remission for a year and wad told her cancer is back. She again did chemotherapy while working and taking care of her dad. A very strong willed person. She just came to visit me in Tennessee and I treated her to her first ever pedicure. She truly enjoyed getting something done for her.

  139. My mom passed away in 1978 ; however I’d like to share what a kind hearted lovely lady she was . She was just great ! I wish I was more like her . My daughter never met her since she was born 5 years later . She now has 2 children and she would LOVE this gorgeous purse for Mother’s Day in honor of my mom ! thanks for the chance !

  140. Shannon Brennan says:

This is a beautiful bag, and my mom is a beautiful person!! I have always known how much my mom loves me, but it wasn’t until I became a mother myself that I could really appreciate all that she has done for me. Motherhood is a lifelong journey, not a job, but an important task that requires love, wisdome, and strength. My mom has all of these qualities plus more!! This mothers Day, I want to show my mom how grateful I am for all those sleepless nights, all those diapers changed, and all those times she said no to an extended curfew for my protection. Sometimes it takes growing up into the person your parents have raised to really understand their sacrafice. Happy mothers Day to my wonderful, beautiful mom, I love you more than words can say!!

  141. sue moschino says:

My mother’s in FL and can’t be with us in MI this year for mother’s day. We will miss her, and I know she’s very upset to not be with her 3 kids this year on Mother’s day. I think this would brighten up my mom’s mother’s day..thanks for the opportunity to make her day. Love my mom and would love to give her Mandy!

  142. Deana Rooks says:

    My mom is great
    that much is true.
Growing up there wasn’t a lot to be had
    that much we knew
    but she scrimped and saved
    to do what she could.
To make sure we had enough
    clothes and food.
    There were five of us
so it easy it was not.
Yet we all turned out great
despite what was and wasn’t bought.
So Thank you mom for all you do,
I love you and am grateful for you!

  143. Brandy Hively says:

Pick me! Pick me! The mandy is amazing!

  144. Sarah E says:

My mom is marvelous because she always wants the best for me. She encourages me to continue on with school to finish my Bachelors and get a Masters degree even when my father says I “don’t need it.” She has been a single mother for 13 years and has done the best job anyone could ever imagine. She always worrys about me before she considers herself for anything. Being able to give her such a beautiful bag (that I couldn’t afford otherwise) would be the perfect mothers day gift.

  145. Ashley D. says:

I love my mom. She is my best friend and will do anything for me! She is always proud of everything I do. I cannot imagine a day without her. She truly inspires me to be the best I can be. Love you MOM! xoxo

  146. Amy says:

I got my mom started on Vera Bradley, she will not buy it for herself so I usually buy it for her. She has always put her family first and herself last. She is a great mom and I am very lucky to have her.

  147. Sara says:

My mom is marvelous! She has always encouraged me and loved me and she’s my best friend!

  148. Stephanie Todd says:

My mother was truly an amazing woman. She was selfless and she taught us lessons about life with positivity and truth. I never heard her say a single thing against my spoiled brat daddy (said with love).. She truly was the best mom a girl could ask for… Happy Mothers Day Momma!

  149. Kendra says:

My mom always puts everyone and her family first. She is always available to watch my daughter for me and I am always grateful. What a better way to show her than a beautiful new Vera bag.

  150. Heather Davis says:

My mom is the greatest mom in the world. Whenever you need someone to share the good times or worse the bad times she is always there. I myself am a mom of an autistic child and my mom has been the rock that I have been able to count in through all the ups and downs of life so far. I would not change a thing about my mom she is absolutely perfect in every way. Even if she may not have all the answers she is always there ready to dive in to any situation. My mom ROCKS!!!! I love her with every fiber of my being!!

  151. Kerry says:

My mother spends all day taking car of her mother and her grandchildren, then goes to work at 3 and takes care of others, as she is a hospice nurse. She also volunteers in a soup kitchen by buying, cooking, and serving all the food once a month to about 100 hungry people. She’s pretty amazing.

  152. Emily says:

I have some Vera stuff but my mom she doesn’t. She says she loves mine but she wont buy one for herself. This would be a wonderful gift to my mom!:)

  153. Laura says:

I just purchased several pieces of the Viva La Vera and love it. My mom would love a piece also. Thanks for the opportunity.

  154. Tracy Owens says:

My mom is great and has helped me out when I have needed it and this would be great if I could win this becausei can’t really afford to buy her much since I’m in nursing school. We love vera

  155. Ann Guinn says:

My mom is the BEST! She has always put others’ needs and wants ahead of her own, when we were growing up, and to this day. She’s been through many trials in her life, and continues to think about and do for others first. She would love this bag as a Mother’s Day gift! πŸ™‚

  156. Debby says:

This would be a perfect gift for my sister for Mother’s Day! This would be her very first Vera.

  157. Erica Rogers says:

I am 37 years old and have the most wonderful Mom ever! My Mom always gives to others, is very involved with our church and was recently a bone marrow donor for her identical twin sister. I would love to honor my Mom with this bag. She has never owned a Vera herself, has bought me several as gifts but never one for herself. She loves the bags but won’t spend on herself, always giving to others wether it’s objects or part of her own body she puts others before herself always. My Mom has been through so much recently and I would love for her to have just a little piece of happiness for herself for one day. Please choose my Mom as the reciepent of this bag it would mean so much to me to be able to give her a gift of love as a way of thanking her for all she does for others.

  158. Casie Redden says:

My mother is a true fighter, you see these people that just stop trying when they are diagnosed with an illness. Not my mother, she has Parkinson’s disease but she doesn’t let it get her down she continues to do for others even though she can hardly walk, write, or do for herself. She is a remarkable lady, and I would love to give her this bag for Mother’s day.

  159. Jennifer R. says:

My mom raised five kids, and now she is a big help for my sister and I as we raise our own boys. Mom always puts everyone else before herself. Her wardrobe could really use a boost for spring!

  160. Cathy says:

What a wonderful idea! Love all the new designs and styles! Good luck everyone! πŸ™‚

  161. Marie says:

My mom is a truly selfless person. She works all day as a volunteer at our Lutheran church and school as the admissions director. It’s a full time job, but she feels it is so important for young kids to be brought up in the Christian tradition and faith that she dedicates her time and energy to the cause.
She is a true family woman and never misses an opportunity to get our whole family together (I have about 20 cousins, so it’s quite the feat!)
For mother’s day, I bought her a glass angel holding a dove. It personifies the peace and grace she brings to me and everyone she meets every day.
She and I are both huge Vera Bradley fans. Every girl loves a new purse, especially when it is given for such a great occasion and to such a special woman.

  162. Brittany says:

Last summer I was in an accident and had to have surgery. I moved back home with my parents and my mom did everything for me! She drove to summer school an hour away each day because I could not drive. She went out of her way to make sure that I was okay, she fixed my hair, cooked my meals, and even painted my toes because I could not reach them with my cast on my leg. I hope I can be half the mother she is.

Thanks and Happy Mothers Day to all of the mommas out there!

    Brit

  163. Janet Graver says:

Mom is another word for angel.

  164. Linds says:

My mom is the most amazing person in the world…especially recently. My parents are in the process of going through a divorce and she is still there for me when I need her. She is being so strong right now for my sister and I because she doesn’t want us to see her hurt. We know she is, as we all are..but she still tries to make us happy and is being so brave. There are a lot of changes going on in not only my family’s lives, but especially hers too. I would love to show my gratitude towards her and lighten her up with this gorgeous purse. She loves Vera Bradley but can’t afford it, especially right now. Although she is happy to get my hand-me-down Vera products, I know she would love it even more to get a brand new one…and she absolutely deserves it right now and any other day out of the year because I love her with all my heart and she is the best mother any girl could ask for!

  165. Heather says:

This would be just wonderful for my mom!

  166. Ann says:

My mom doesn’t buy much for herself, so recieving this bag as a gift would be great for her, and this bag is so beautiful…and a very nice size. The bright summer patterns really make it look great!! This is a very generous giveaway… hope I win it for my mom, especially since she truly deserves it!!

  167. Colleen Turowski says:

My mom adopted me when I was 2 weeks old. How lucky am I to have been picked by her! I have had an amazing life and it’s all because my mom picked me!

  168. Beth says:

My mother is inspirational. She has always given up everything she has for me to be a better person. She was not able to pursue the degree she wanted, which was to be a teacher, due to living in poverty. She worked hard to take some classes in typing and became a secretary at an elementary school. She worked hard to be sure that I would be successful, and that my life would be better than hers. She made it possible for me to go to a private university without college loans. I may be her only child, but she treats everyone the same. She loves people and helping others. She is the definition of selfless. I hope to someday be half the woman she is.

  169. Shelly Koza says:

My mom runs a non-profit animal shelter in Florida and is passionate about saving animals. She also works a full time job while managing all of my elderly ill father’s medical affairs. I admire and love her very much. This would be a great gift for her.

  170. Lyanna says:

My mom deserves to win because she is the most selfless and caring person I know. She loves people- genuinely loves them and meets needs that she sees around her and gives no thought as to how it may inconvenience her.

She is adored by everyone that knows her, especially her grand kids who know that when grandma comes over she will bring donuts and lots of fun!

I can always count on her to encourage me and to advise me the right way.

I truly love my mom and I am so grateful for her in my life.

  171. marlene kolesar says:

MY mother took me and my 3 daughters on a cruse for my birthday their is no way i could compare to that but i know she would love this bag. Thank You for your consideration. I would love to surprise her.

  172. Amelia Torres says:

My mother as always scarificed for her family. When anyone needs anything, she is there. And now with me becoming a first time mom myself, my mother has been supporting and helpful to me. My mom is the best mom anyone can have. The Mandy would be a sweet gift for her.

  173. lisa corbin says:

My mom is the best…………………….she has been through so much…………she is a single mom with fibromyalgia…………….she pushes on and still takes care of her kids even though we are 35 and 40. She is a mother in law and grandma……………….she is one of my best friends……………..I love my mom!!!!!!!!!

  174. Heather says:

I would absolutely love to win this for my Mom!
Shes the best mom there ever was/is! She is so selfless and always willing to give, serve and help. I got married last year and she helped me through every single step of the way. I couldnt have planned my beautiful wedding without her. I live an hour away from her, yet she still comes over when I’m not feeling well and cleans and organizes my apartment for me. She has helped me move twice already and never complains about driving the distance and all the heavy lifting. I seriously think she has super mother strength! She constantly shuttled my younger brothers around anywhere they wanted/needed to go without complaining. Her father died just after Christmas this past year and it was a tough time for everyone, yet she showed stregnth and composure like I’ve never seen. She has been there for her mother through the process and was always willing to spend the night with her when she felt uncomfortable being alone. She is honestly the greatest person I know! Not to mention the fact that she would aboslutely love this as she is a Vera lover! We cannot go into a mall without making a stop at a Vera store. πŸ™‚ Please consider my mother for this prize! Thanks!!

  175. Mandy Pennington says:

My mom is the strongest person I know. Just 3 wks ago she was diagnosed with Leukemia. She has gone through extensive 7 day chemo. Currently it is in remission but she has already been told it will come back. She is now getting her immune systewm back so she can try and get a bone marrow transplant. She is very strong and trying to stay positive. She has 4 grandkids and currently they can’t see her until she is discharged from the hospital. She will be in there until at least Mothers Day weekend. I don’t know any other Mom who deserves this more than her!

  176. Cristy Tice says:

My Mom is simply amazing. Sometimes I wonder how she does it… somehow she manages to do 35 tasks at once- and with a big smile on her face! She has never failed to be there for me or my brother. She is not only my Mother, but my best friend as well β™₯
Here’s to all the loving Mom’s out there!!! Where would we be without you????

  177. Julie Mark says:

My mom has spent 84 years taking care of others. She still cooks amazing dinners and takes great care of her family. My mom deserves a special treat for herself this Mother’s Day.

  178. Tammy says:

My mother is is the most caring and selfless woman I know. She always puts the needs of her family before her own, even when it’s not the best thing for her to do. I wouldn’t be where I am today without her love and support. She is also the strongest woman I know, we recently lost my dad to cancer and she was the rock of our family. Always strong and doing everything she could to make him happy and make sure he was taken care of. She is beautiful, caring, gentle and strong. I would give her the world if I could because she deserves the very best.

  179. Sharon Steele says:

My Mom is my best friend and supporter. I can always talk with her about anything, and get her true opinion. She is very straight forward and cuts to the chase. We had our bad times when I was in my Late teens, but we are now closer than ever. My husband is ill, and she is always there for me. I love her dearly and would give her the world if I could. I only hope I am that kind of Mom for my Son and Daughter, and my Lovely granddaughter.

  180. Jeanne D says:

Love the bag! My Mom was my greatest supporter and was always taking care of us up to the day she passed away. I pray for all those who are missing their Moms on Mother’s day and for those lucky to still have your Moms – never be too busy for that phone call or extra hug from your Mom because you will miss those things when they are gone.

  181. Krista says:

My mom is not only amazing and my best friend, she is truly inspirational. She has over come so many things in her life, mostly health wise and continued to fight and make each day the best it can be. But this Mother’s Day especially, she deserves a little something extra to make her smile. For the past couple months she has been struggling w/ some deep emotion problems, and she has found the light at the end of the tunnel and every day strived to reach it. She continues to make each day better than the one before, and has made sure this didn’t get her down. I would love to give her this to show how proud I am of what she has conquered lately and tell her I love her.

  182. Jessica C. says:

My mom is the strongest lady I know…and 5 years cancer free!!!

  183. Laura Ciccone says:

My father died when I was 10 years old. Shortly after that my Mom was diagnosed with Breast and Ovarian cancer. She raised my little brother, who was 4 at the time, and I basically by herself until she met my stepfather. Since they got married she retired, and now spends her time, full time volunteering for various organizations around our community; including the soup kitchen, the food pantry, boy scouts, our local church, and various other organizations. She beat cancer twice, and is now in remission. I am 23 years old and it took a while for me to realize how wonderful my Mom is, but she is certainly one of the strongest women I know. She did the job of two parents while I was growing up, and managed to beat cancer twice. Looking back now, I’m not sure that if I was in her shoes that I would have been able to overcome as much as she has! She is the strongest women I know, and deserves the world, and certainly more then I will ever be able to give her!

  184. Tiffany says:

Mothers the Day is a very special day for me and my 2 brothers because of our mom!! Being the oldest of 2 brothers one with down syndrome/ autism has been one fun filld life. The doctors told my mom my brother probally would never be able to do so many things in life and because of my mom he had done beyond that. Not bc of three teachers because if it want for my mom pushing for what he deserved then the school would only have done way less. She just had strived her whole life to doing what was best for us never thinking of her self. Not only does she help her family but many other families. I really could go on and on about our mom!! Happy mothers day to all!!!! God bless

  185. Rhonda M says:

I love my mom! She is a wonderful woman and would love to win this for her!

  186. Danielle says:

My mom is amazing! She is always spread all over the place trying to be a part of her children’s lives. There are 6 of us and she is always there for any of us whenever we need her. My mom absolutely LOVES flowers, so every year I either buy her flowers or help her plant flowers for mother’s day & her birthday which are both in May. Sadly, as much fun as we have planting the flowers and as much as she enjoys them the first few weeks, she never ends up having the time to take care of them. I would love to give her some flowers to show her how much I love her that she can always carry with her! She travels all over the US to go to clients and that would be a great way for her to take an “I love you mom” along with her. She loves her children all so much and would do anything for us. She has taught us all that no matter how hard life gets, you can always make it a little better just by enjoying the simple little nice things about it. Her love is unconditional and she is always so proud of us! She lost her own mom a few years back as well and I know mother’s day is still very hard on her because my grandma was an amazing person! I would love to give her these forever flowers to make her day extra special this year.

  187. MELISSA says:

My mom uses Vera bags for work at the doctors office. Would love to have this one to surprise her with!!

  188. tabatha rein says:

I went a few years without seeing my mother, while I was a child. When we finally reconnected, she picked up right were she left off. She has been a great mother, very understanding and full of wisdom!! She has also help me raise my daughter to be a wonderful person!! Thanks Mom!!

  189. Jordan Ferrell says:

My mother is the strongest, most inspiring woman I have ever met. She is a single mother and has raised me and my 3 sisters, to be strong women just as she always was. She is 100% selfless and would give anything to anyone before taking something for herself. She has gone through a lot of hard times in her life, but she always comes off as a happy person. I truly believe she would give her last penny to someone in need. She is beautiful inside and out, hey–sounds just like a Vera Bradley purse πŸ™‚ She definitely deserves this bag, what lovely mother wouldn’t want one?

  190. lori says:

well me …I really didnt know what a mom was until… I held my daughter in my arms for the first time…you see my dad was not only my dad but my mr mom… he lost his short battle with cancer back in Jan …. I love and miss him… He taught me how to be a great mom…and instead of sending this bag to my mom I would ask that you send it to my daughter …my daughter and son…has showed me the true meaning of a mother’s love….may they always know that I will always be here for them… and bec of my dad who was more than a dad when he didnt have to be… it would have been so easy to just say that he couldnt handle three girls alone….but he didnt…and I am so thankful….he has taught me how to love…. with no conditions…to love because…. so I pass it on “the love of a mother” to my daughter that she may continue to pass it on and keep it going through the future generations…

  191. Emily says:

Love the size! Perfect for a mom on the go!

  192. Kali says:

My mom is a force to be reckoned with–she works full-time but still manages to be me and my sister’s full-time wedding planner! She helped my sister plan her big day last year, and then right afterward I got engaged and she started planning my big day too. She’s a busy woman who gets things done! I love her for her continued support and willingness to take on so much.

  193. Mandy says:

I can’t describe to you how much I love my mom. She is not only a loving, supportive mom to me , but she is the most WONDERFUL grandmother to my kids. She loves them with no boundaries. They are so blessed to have her. She is the kind of person that will pit her life on pause to help someone she loves, especially her kids. She is a self made, independent woman who always taught me that I am strong, capable and intelligent. She is excellent.

  194. Jaclyn Camarota says:

My mother spent the entirety of last week in the hospital only to find out that she has severe anemia and a bone marrow disease called MDS. The only reason she went to the hospital was because she was taking care of her own parents and passed out in front of them. She immediately quit smoking (after 40 years) and has remained postitive since then about the outcome of her results. She is a generous woman with a kind heart and literally puts others before her. Even in the hospital she wouldn’t push the nurse call button because she didn’t want to bother them. Her birthday is also May 27, so May is “her” month in my eyes. All I would like for her this Mother’s Day and for her birthday is a positive outcome on her condition and for her to know that she is loved. A purse would be an added bonus, although in my eyes she deserves a thousand new purses. I love my mother!

  195. Kim Watson says:

My Mom is the greatest!!! Someone who always puts others first πŸ™‚ She is a cancer survivor (twice) and is the strongest woman in the world. She took care of my father (He had cancer twice, also. The second round took him to Heaven) and has always shown strength and love when times are hard. I am getting married in November and she has helped me majorly with all the wedding planning and stress that goes along with it! My Mom described in one word – AMAZING!!

  196. Jamie says:

This bag is wonderful! My mother has been wanting a vera bag ever since she saw my bag! I have been planning to get her one for mothers day but finances are not allowing me to do so right now. She is a wonderful mother and grandmother who at almost 60 is still working full time. On top of that, she is battling lupus. I know this bag would make her mothers day one to remember!

  197. Janie Burress says:

My mother would love the Mandy to carry her craft projects with her. She’s very talented and she could carry her supplies in style!

  198. Mandy Cansler says:

My mother is a very hard worker she, cares about animals and tries so very hard to take care of her family and friends. She loves her grand children and would do anything for her children, she helped my brother through so much I would love for her to recieve this bag for everything she gave us. Thanks

  199. Tiffany says:

I absolutely love the Mandy purse!! I am hoping that I get one in Viva La Vera for Mother’s Day!!!!!!!

  200. Lynette says:

I would love to see my Mother win this bag…being the oldest of her 5 children, she has always been there for us….Dad always provided and when he became sick…Mom took over; working 2 jobs and helping my Dad as the terminal cancer took his life…..She’s always there for us kids with whatever life may bring our way…I personally don’t know what I would of done w/o her…in 2002 I was in an accident which left me disabled…some days she would even dress me….she drives me to doctor appt’s and deals with my mood swings and utters a word about it…and at 67 yoa she is still going strong at the Nursing Home where she has worked for over 20 yrs to help others in need. I keep trying to get her to retire…lol…I don’t think she would know how to sit still. I love my Mother!!! God Bless Her!!! ❀

  201. Katie says:

My mom is not just awesome, she is beyond it. When I was 15 I was taken in by a single woman with no kids but a loving family. In my past I was put down and made fun of but this wonderful person seen I was broken and didn’t care. She was there. She showed me love and compassion. She has taught me Many things. One thing she has taught me that not everyone is a bad person. I didn’t trust anyone because my birth family put me down so much. I know I can stress her out sometimes but she refuses to show. She is a strong, wonderful woman and I am beyond proud to say she is my Mom and I am glad God led me to her. πŸ™‚

  202. My mom is no ordinary mom. She is my role model. She is kind, caring, loving and strong. She left her family and flew halfway across the U.S to be with my father. To me, she is everything a wife and mother should be.

We were never priviledged growing up but our parents made sure we lived in the best school district in order to receive the best education regardless of the cost. Naturally when all the other kids at our school were wearing A&F clothes we wanted them too, and never used ones because that wasnt cool.

Now that my sister and I are older we look back at our youth and sometimes feel remorse at how shallow we seemed. While our mom was buying us A&F clothes trying to help us fit in and feel good about ourselves, she was wearing hand me downs and thrifting on the weekends to find clothes to wear to work.

Today my sister and I have made a pledge to continually give back and thank her for everything shes done regardless of the day or month or year. Everyday is moms day in our family. Our chance to help her feel good about her self and thank her for everything shes done.

  203. Rachael says:

My mom would love this! She doesn’t own any Vera bags and this would be the perfect gift!! Happy Early Mother’s Day!

  204. Shari says:

As an adopted child, there was never any time that I wondered if my mom loved me like her biological children. For a season, she heeded the delicate balance of being a parent and a friend, by knowing that a child needs parenting. Now, she is my friend, my confidant, my advocate and the grandma to my five children. She is my MOM–in every way! Would love to give her a special gift for Mother’s Day!

  205. erica says:

My mom is the most amazing woman one can every meet. Her capacity for love is only rivaled by her capacity for giving. She never judges. She has taught all four of her daughters to be strong women and to stand up for what we believe in (even if she doesn’t share the same viewpoint). Thanks mom for all the prom dresses you have sewn and especially our wedding dresses. I am in awe of her talent. Thank you for all the love and the life lessons and thanks for never saying “I can’t be there right now.”
I got mom hooked on Vera Bradley recently. I couldn’t understand why she didn’t have one since she was a seamstress and appreciated the art of fabric.
The especially nice bonus of a VB bag is it isn’t too heavy in her shoulders. She will be definitely getting another bag, she deserves it. I think she is hoping for a bag she can carry her sewing projects. She makes custom doll cloths for collector dolls. I am just not sure which bag I should go for. She does a lot of handwork so it needs pockets to hold needles, scissors but it shouldn’t be too big because her shoulder and back. I will glady take suggestions.

  206. Ina Pearson says:

Love this bag. What a great Mother’s Day gift!!!

  207. Amanda Lawson says:

I would love to be able to give my mother a Mandy because my name is Amanda and only my mother calls me Mandy. While I’m away at college every year I know she misses me even while she is being supportive of my decision to be far away from home. Carrying a Mandy around would be another reminder of how much I love her and miss her, too.

  208. Janel Tyler says:

Well, there is alot to say about my mom that I could write a book about how she is always looking out for someone else. She took care of my grandmother when she was not well and for many years took care of her while she was in an out of the hospital and a rehab center until she passed away. She was always there for us while we were growing up and cheering us on in whatever we were striving to accomplish. Now that my brother and I are married she still looks out for us and our children. We don’t live close to home anymore but she still tries to remember to send our children post cards in the mail and other special gifts always at the right time. And even though we aren’t close because of living out of town our kids love being with her and helping in the kitchen as she cooks while we visit and she is gracious enough to let them help. She was diagnosed with macular degeneration in her eyes is is gradually loosing her sight but still helps others. Just recently my aunt has been in the hospital for three weeks dealing with the beginning of leukemia and a few other health issues. My mom has graciously done everything she could to help her and be there for her when all of tests were run and procedures that have been needed. We don’t always get to thank her like we should but this would be an awesome way to do it. I always seem to get a Vera item for birthday or Christmas from her and I don’t ever get to do the same for her and this would be great.

  209. Melissa Killen says:

My mother has survived breast cancer, numerous strokes, and the death of a child over the last several years and yet never complains. She gets up every day, reads from her Guideposts Daily Journal and then goes with my father to have coffee “in town”. There they visit with the university kids that come in, the walkers (the ladies that walk at the university every day) and whoever else might come in.
She is an inspiration to me, and many others with her quick smile and always finding the best in someone.

  210. Rebecca Hayden says:

My mom is the best because she always did what was best for her kids, even when it may not have been what she wanted for herself. Also, she is a cancer survivor so she deserves the best!! I would love to give her that beautiful tote for Mother’s day!

  211. Germaine says:

My mother has been my biggest supporter all my life and continues to do so today. Many people say that their mother has never put herself before anyone else but what makes my mother great is that she has the balance of taking care of herself and keeping the rest of the family together. Now as my sister and I grow older it’s beautiful to see my mother getting what she’s always deserved but couldn’t necessarily manage with the cost of kids. Not everything has been easy either, and she’s remained the rock of our family through hardships and celebrations alike. With this process I’d like to do everything I can in an attempt to give back even half of what she’s given me.

  212. Hanmo Qian says:

I love my mom! She is my best friend. I want to get her something for Mother’s Day. I think this cute Vera bag would be perfect for her!

  213. Melissa Lynn says:

My mom is an amazing, caring, and selfless woman who has a big heart. She has incredible emotional strength. My grandmother her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and my mother took on being her full time caregiver. That is truly an amazing mother to take on the care of her mother while watching this horrible disease with no cure take over. I truly idolize my mother’s strength and love for her mother. She truly is an incredible mom! I love you Mom!!

  214. Sarah W says:

My mom is always supportive, no matter what I do. She always encouraged (and still does!) my brother and I to march to our own drummer. I love her very much, and this bag would be a great gift!

  215. Nicole Dionne says:

My mom is the best because she is loving and selfless, she gives everything she can to everyone without asking for anything back in return. She serves as a role model to both my sister and I as well as the hundreds of children she works with everyday at our local middle school. She is the epitome of stength and courage after losing my grandmother to breast cancer, een though times have been tough she has perserveered and continues to be the best woman I know. I love her with all of my heart and am so proud to call her my mother.

  216. Suzanne says:

I would love this purse! I am a mom and this would be a wonderful mothers day gift to me!

  217. Christine Wilke says:

I love my mom – after raising 6 kids she deserves nothing but the best!

  218. Kristen says:

I dont feel I give my mother enough credit for what she does, not just for my family, but for everyone around her. My mother is a nurse, she is amazing! She works hard, she helps others and cares deeply for everyone around her and takes care and watches over her family, her sibilings and their families and her father. My mother and I recently attended the Vera Brdley outlet sale in Indiana, (her first “vacation” in over 5 years) my mother is now a fan of VB, however when we returned home, she gave away everything she bought, and kept nothing for herself. She wanted to make her sisters, her co-workers and even her friends feel special and important and by giving her items away, she did just that. Her unselfishness goes far beyond that, but I know how grateful she would be just to have something VB to call her own. This is one small token of appreciation I can give back to my mother for all that she does for my family, her family and eveyone around her.

  219. Zara says:

My mom is the best because she has all the answers! Even though I’ve been out of the house for years, I still go to her for advice, on anything from buying a new mattress to housetraining a new puppy!

  220. Rebecca says:

Great bag! An excellent idea for Mother’s Day.

  221. Lisa Sersion says:

Dear Vera, My Mom is marvelous and deserves to win this because she has been a wonderful Mom all our lives! She’s raised nine children. Eight daughters and one son. She’s been a true Christian all her life and has always turned the other cheek. She’s 81 years old and would LOVE to have this and she is so deserving for she truly has a heart of gold and has done so much for her family. Not only her family but for so many others. Shed be so happy and you would make her Mothers Day! Thank you for considering her. Please make her day!!!

  222. Vivian White says:

My mom is 88 and is a WONDERFUL mother. She is a wonderful woman. Still speaks her mind, lives on her own and goes where she wants. So fun to be with. I have been to the Vera Bradley sale at Ft Wayne the last two years. Last year I bought her her first Vera Bradley bag and she LOVED it. So later, my sister bought her a wallet and placemat to match it. BUT, she loved my Villager bag better than her Betsy. She liked the zipper pocket on the outside for her GARAGE DOOR OPENER AND KEYS! Yeah, at 88, that’s pretty cool, huh? So this year, I got her a Villager with a wallet to match in Calypso. She loves them. She informed me that she likes the Calypso much better than the Mod Floral Blue. She is awesome!

  223. Krystal Nicklow says:

I have to say that my mother-IN-LAW is the best. She goes out of her way to make sure that we have everything that we would ever need. She is the most caring person that I know. She runs two house holds and works a full time traveling nursing job, plus she battles lupas. She is the strongest woman that I know. I am very grateful to have such a wonderful MOTHER-IN-LAW!!!!

  224. Lycinda says:

My MOM…. Well she is the most awesome person I know. She is a stronger woman than I ever thought I could be… She has had alot of health problems over the last several years. Just recently she lost her leg due to Vascular disease. Wow she has been a fighter….God has truely blessed me with an amazing MOM. She has always put us kids first….she nevers wants us to help her, she thinks she has to help us. I really think winning this would be so awesome for her…. She loves Vera Bradley…..But Most of all I love her more than any words could ever say!!!!! She is my strength!!!! My MOM is the BEST!!!!!

  225. Allyson says:

my mom is 84 years of age. She is the most selfless person. She has always put all others before herself. She always seems to show up where she is needed. Without being asked or especting anything in return. She is a great person and a wonderful mom. Happy Mothers Day Nan….
    Love allyson

  226. Katie says:

My mom is fighting cancer for the second time in her life. 30 years ago she had Hodgkins and beat it fairly quickly. I am so thankful for those 30 years! Now she is fighting Multiple Myeloma an incurable (as of now) blood cancer. It is a long term cancer and we are praying and fighting for a cure soon. Every day is a blessing and a fight. She is a strong lady staring cancer down again! It would be great to brighten her day with this beautiful Mandy bag.

  227. Sheri Chazdon says:

My Mom is my best friend. Shopping with her, having coffee with her, traveling with her, laughing with her, all wonderful things that I cherish. My Mom fought hard to have me, suffering 5 miscarriages before me and one after me, and as her only child, a premie, who is now grown and unable to have children of my own, I now see how strong she is and how incredibly self-less she is. The sight of her watching her only child battle breast cancer twice and hold my hand thru treatment only intensified our deep bond. I love you Mom, now and always.

  228. Camille K says:

My mom and I are obsessed with Vera Bradley but because of money issues are cutting back and starting to sell ours. This was one of the bags that she wanted to get because she LOVED the size. It would be so awesome to win this for her!

  229. Cindy Nolt says:

My mother loves Vera Bradley Bags! She would be so surprised if I could give her this bag for Mother’s Day. She would love a new bag – but she always gives to others before herself.

  230. Jo Cleasby says:

Why is my mom so SPECIAL, just because she is my mom! There are not enough words to describe how special she is to me and the rest of the family. She is loving, caring, thoughtful, selfless, giving, and the list goes on. She has always been there through thick and thin, no matter what. Even during the worst times, she was still there, offering a helping hand or anything to smooth out the wrinkles in life. She works endlessly with my dad on their 5 acres to make the house a home. I know that she is getting tired, but she still keeps pushing through each day. I LOVE YOU mom, more than words can describe and I am the luckiest girl in the world to have a MOTHER like you!

  231. Teresa says:

My mom is giving, supportive, understanding, strict, sweet, an accomplice, a best friend. My best friend! She has made many sacrifices for her family, by worrying about the food on the table, clean laundry, an impeccable home, clothed children, and many other things, but herself is never the priority. Now that were all grown up she still cares for me as if I still was her little girl… I never leave her house without some sort of food, lotions, or makeup, that she has for me just because πŸ™‚ well because she is a MOM
    Gracias mama,

  232. Patty Gomez says:

My Mom is a wonderful woman, who picked me up when I was down, love me for who I am, took care of me even though I was an adult, and gives me loving advise to ensure I’m well. Pat came into my life when I thought there was no love for me because my mother never loved me and mistreated me. She showed me what a REAL mother is, by taking me under her wing and loving me like I was hers. There is nothing like a mother’s unconditional love, and I know that thanks to her. I LOVE my MOM PAT, and will not change anything in my life thanks to her. She’s the most caring, unselfish, lovable person in this World!!

  233. Sylvia says:

I can’t say that my mom has always been the “greatest mom ever” or my “best friend”, but never the less I love her dearly. Despite the many challenges in her life she has never given up on anything and has overcome many obstacles. She has recently lost custody of my two younger brothers and is struggling to keep a job in our tiny town. Everyday she puts on a brave face, but I know this sweet little bag would cheer her up and maybe giver her that extra boost she needs to make it through her current situation. Times are tough for many of us, so thank you for giving us the opportunity to win something nice for our mothers!

  234. Maria says:

I’d actually love to give this bag to my mother-IN-LAW, because she gave me my very first Vera Bradley bag and started my addiction! I know she would appreciate the gesture very much.

  235. Amy F says:

My mom is the BEST! She is a very caring, compassionate and giving person. Vera is her favorite this to give (and receive). She recently went to the Vera outlet sale in Ft Wayne. While she was there she spent most of her time (and money) picking out gifts for friends and family. I would love my mom to receive this special Vera bag. She deserves a special treat too!

  236. Debra Davis says:

My mom is the greatest mom!! We love spending time together and I know she would love this beautiful gift. A great gift for a great mom!

  237. Mandy is a beautiful bag, and I’d love to be able to give it to my beautiful mom for Mother’s Day. In her day my mom was a stunner, and at 77 years old, she still looks amazing! I can only hope to age as well as my mom has. She is gorgeous inside & out!

  238. janet Farmer says:

my mom is an example of trusting God in all ways!

  239. Lindsey says:

This is so cute! I know my mom would love this bag, the Watercolor pattern definitely fits her style perfectly! πŸ™‚ I may have to get myself one too, lol.

  240. Sarah Windisch says:

My mom is the greatest because she is always there for me. After having a baby 3 weeks ago, she has been my constant support. She is always willing to spend the night so I can get some rest and has been helping me with chores as I recover from a c-section. In addition she was a shoulder to cry on when my husband and I had to put our beloved dog to sleep (due to seizures) just a week after our son was born. She is the best and deserves nice items! She loves Vera Bradley and this would be a nice surprise for her.

  241. Kirsten Kraker (Piatak) says:

My mom is the best mother in the world. She loves us unconditionally even when we aren’t always easy to love. My younger brother suffers from Cerebral Palsy and has undergone many surgeries and hardships throughout his life. Through each on…e, my mom has been his rock and has guided him through it all with a smile even on days where it was hard for her to get through. She always puts us first and bends over backwards for us day after day, I don’t think I’ve ever seen her take a break or give herself time even though she deserves it. When she broke her wrist on her birthday, I looked out at the fans during my field hockey game and she was still there smiling and cheering for me like she always did πŸ™‚ My father had cancer my freshman year of college and it was very hard for me to get through, but she was once again the rock of the family and held it all together for us all. He made it through and I’m so grateful I had my mom there the whole time guiding me once again. Right now I’m studying abroad and she is working just to help me get through college. I’m lucky to have such a strong, compassionate mother and I wish more people had the chance to have mothers like mine. She LOVES Vera Bradley and just recently sent me a cute surprise in the mail with my new Passport holder. I know she would love to recieve this purse and she greatly deserves a reward for all her work. Thanks for considering all moms and giving one a chance to win such a cute gift of appreciation πŸ™‚

  242. Terri Graham says:

My mother would love this print, she is always there when you need her.

  243. Wanda Radler says:

My mom – where do I begin? She is just awesome. She has 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and at 73 years old – she is still the sweetest and most selfless person I know. She helps me out with my twins (who are 5 years old) every week by hanging out wiith them for about 4 hours so I can get a break and have a little time for myself and then she makes me dinner that day too. Whenever any of her adult children need anything – she is still there and able to help. She took care of her sick husband for about a year like a nurse and never complained and just did what she had to do to make huim comfortable untill he passed. I love my mother dearly and she is also my best friend. I would love to be able to treat her to something special because she always takes care of everyone else.

  244. Ashley Dawn says:

I love my Mom because she taught me right from wrong and showed me what love is. She’s a great woman and I’m glad I have her in my life.
    Love you , Mommy!
    xoxo

  245. Ashley J says:

Well my mom goes beyond the mom role. She is a friend, a sister, she is a life saver. I have chromes and need blood transfusions often. Well I don’t even have to ask, my mom donates her blood for me. Without her I would not be here today. I could not ask for a better mom.

  246. Sara Phillips says:

I love my mom because she is so great – she does anything and everything for my sister and I without expecting anything in return.

I’d love to win this great bag (purple is her favorite color) for her!

Thanks so much for the chance!!

  247. Mary Ann says:

I am a mom and grandma, but I think that my daughter who is a mom is so deserving of this A Mandy for Mom. She is such a beautiful mom, caring and loving. She has patience like I have never seen in a mother and the love she has for her daughter unimaginable. I wish so much that my daughter would be the winner of the A Mandy for Mom. She would just love this!

  248. Lisa says:

My Mom loved Vera. The last gift I gave her for mothers day before she died was a Villager and wallet. She loved it and it made her so happy. I so am thankful that that is one of my last memories. And for that reason Vera will always be special. Being the mother 3 boys who probably wont buy their mom a Vera bag…..I would recommend you give it to a son requesting for their Mom. Thanks for the wonderful bags. They bring such joy to many.

  249. Maria says:

My mom deserves this bag, because she is the most selfless person I know! She has had 10 children, and put up with each one of us on all different levels. She was always there with a shoulder to cry on, an ear for listening, and a stern mouth to teach us the right way. My mom has been there to watch each of us go thru our lives make mistakes and be there to help us get back on our feet again, a true testament of unconditional love!! She makes sure her kids and grandkids are happy before she even thinks about herself, willing to give up a quiet night to babysit, and endless days at a hospital bedside waiting for her son to be okay!! My mom truly deserves this bag, and I would be so happy to give it to her!!

  250. Stacie says:

    My mom would love this!!!

  251. I don’t have a mother, however my daughter is one of the greatest Mothers in the world. In 2007 she had her first son and found out on the same day she had a brain tumor and may not live. She had surgery, then had to relearn to walk over several month, and do everything just like an infant. Everyday her focus was on her son and she did everything just for him. She now has a daughter too and gives everything to both children. She is a High School Asst. Principal and gives and treats all of the kids like they are her own. My daughter gives her time and her passion to all children. She is definitely worthy of this gift. BTW she loves Vera Bradley too.

  252. Mandy Smolka says:

My Mom is da bomb! BTW…Did you name that bag after me…I’m flattered πŸ˜‰

  253. Alyssa H says:

My mom has been nothing but a role model to me in my life. Although, i am only 14 i have learned so much from her already. I look up to her, as well as other people should. She is an amazing person, and has done so much for our family. I know it could be tough for her sometimes, always trying to do her best to make us happy. But i would absolutely love to make her happy and celebrate Mothers Day with a Vera Bradley i know she’ll love.

  254. Caleb and his daddy says:

My name is Caleb. My daddy is helping me write this on his iPod. I am 5. My broter is Grayson. He is a baby. My mommy needs a new purse because I spilled juice on hers. Her purse is pink. My mommy bakes me cookies and she wipes my nose and she plays star ears with me. Please give mommy a new purse.

  255. Melinda says:

My mom left me with alot of great advice & wisdom, because of her I believe i’m great mom to my children. Thank you Mom!

  258. Jeanette Fallon says:

My mother has gone through quite a lot in the last couple of years. She battled lung cancer and a tear to her colon wall. She battled both with grace and determination to get her life back on track. I admire her ability to continue being positive when it would be easy to just give up. She is a wonderful role model. I love my mother and am happy to see her healthy this year. She is quite a lady. I would love to give her a Vera Bradley purse for Mother’s Day.

  259. Susi N says:

My Mom is the most amazing woman I have ever had the pleasure to know. She is a nurse, a mom, a best friend, a sister, a daughter, a grandma, she is our everything. Amongst the million amazing things she has done, my Mom cared for my father day in and day out while he was waiting for a double organ transplant. In essence, my Mom saved my father’s life. She was there by his side no matter what and is there next to him to this day as he continues to be well and thrive. Mom always puts herself last and it is time she comes first. For this Mother’s Day and all the rest, past and future, my Mom is my hero and I love her dearly.

  260. Crystal Bochette says:

Hi there! I think my mama is great because for the past 2 years she has been battling colon and liver cancer. We go from VA to Philadelphia, PA every few weeks for her treatment. I think she is the bravest woman I have ever known and through all the sickness, surgeries, and pain she has still managed to be the best mother, wife, and “granny” anyone could ever ask for! Most days it takes everything she has to get out of the bed, but if any of us needs her she makes a way! We love you so much Mama!!!!

  261. Colleen says:

My mother is amazing. She is that mother that everyone wants to have. When I got sick earlier this year and was hospitalized for a couple weeks I was never alone. She was there to try to cheer me up and she was always trying to make me feel better. I’m in college and shes the mom who will text me to tell me to have a good day and that she loves me. She is the kind of mom who will pick me up at two in the morning from school because I had a bad day and just really need to come home. She loves me and my sister unconditionally. She is wonderful.

  262. Whitne says:

I love this bag and the pattern!

  263. Mary says:

My mom has raised 4 children all on her own by working full time and giving us whatever she could. She is always trying to help us kids out before herself even now that we are grow she is still helping us. My sister has had many medical problems and my mom has helped her out through all of it. I know that my mom never had to do all the things that she has done for my son and I but she is a loving and caring person!! I just resently became a single mother and I hope that I have the courage and strength that my mother had raising us!!!

  264. Sara says:

My Mom is amazing, she does so much to help me with my 2 year old daughter. She would love this purse!

  265. tina mercer says:

My mom is a mother of 5 and has always been there for each and everyone of us though all the good and bad times putting our needs before her own And deserves the best Mothers Day ever!!

  266. Colleen says:

My mom is amazing. She has three daughters and always worries about us before ever worrying about herself. My sister went through critical surgery this past year, at the age of 15, and my mom did not once leave her side. She is strong and has been through alot and she is truly a hero. There is no way that someone could not look up to someone as strong and as caring as she is. I know my mom would appreciate this! She loves Vera and she deserves something like this.

  267. Kristine Ahlskog says:

My mother showed me her strength in the Lord when she dealt with cancer for two plus years…..even when she left us.

    • Melissa Messina says:

God Bless you! My mother showed me that God will never leave you my mom battled breast cancer for 3 yrs before passing in Oct, I miss my mom and best friend so much. God has a plan in everything we dont always see the bigger picture but rejoice in the fact that we will spend an eternity with are mothers in heaven this life is only but a blink.

  268. Stacy says:

My mom is my best friend. She is always there to talk to and I love watching her laugh. This would be an awesome gift for her!

  269. Emily says:

My Mom is beyond a role model. She is a true inspiration for me. She had a hard life as a child and grew up with not much. She made toys out of things she could find around the house. She lost her sister to cancer at the age of 23 and her dad soon after. My Mom always seems to keep it together when everyone else falls apart. She is my biggest fan and always has my best interest at heart. She has a tough job and drives an hour both ways to work, to provide for my family. I know this takes a toll on my Mom because she gets up at 4:30am to get ready for work leaves at 6am and doesn’t get home until 6pm. This is a hard day and she does it everyday. My Mom puts her wants and needs aside for my family. I raise my glass to my Mom because she is a huge part of my life and deserves nothing but the best. My Mom would love this purse and I can already see the look on her face if I could give it to her. I appreciate this opportunity.

  270. Lydia says:

My mom has had a really tough year and this Mandy bag would for sure put a smile on her face. She has been driving my brother across the State for radiation treatments for a brain tumor several times a week for several months now and she has had little time to herself to destress. She always puts others first and she deserves a little surprise this Mother’s Day πŸ™‚

  271. Pam S says:

My mom is still a working woman at age 70. She is bank manager and is a mom to all of her employees and customers too! My mom had me when she was 16 years old and I have 3 other siblings as well. She and my dad were married when she was 15 and were married for 53 years until my dad passed away a little over a year ago. I guess you could say she is a “SUPER” mom! My mother, daughter, daughter in law and I are all big fans of Vera Bradley. The Mandy would be a great way to show my mom how special she really is.

  272. Meghan says:

My mom is the STRONGEST person I know! She has made it through some tough times, and through that she always kept her head held high. She is also the HARDEST WORKING mother I know. With four kids, we have definitely put her through the wringer! Three of us are “grown up,” in college or almost out of high school. And then there is my 6-year-old little sister, to who she now gives a large portion of her care. My sister has Down syndrome, and my mother is constantly working to give her the best life possible. From therapy to social activities to just playing in her room, my mom is always doing something with my little sister. She also works to bring awareness about Down syndrome as the treasurer of our local Down syndrome society. She strives to achieve more acceptance of people with Down syndrome, and therefore providing them a better, more simple life. Overall, my mom is selfless, loving, dedicated, smart, a great friend (my best friend), caring, beautiful, nurturing, generous… the list is endless! Most importantly, she LOVES Vera Bradley!

  273. Abby says:

My mom was diagnosed a few years ago with Pulmonary Hypertension. She is going back and forth to Mayo Clinic on a bi-monthly basis. We were just there again, this time for my dad (prostate cancer), last month. When we were in one of the gift shops, she spotted one of your purses. She said, “I have to get one of those someday, they are so bright and happy looking”. So for this Mother’s Day I’d like to send a little happiness her way.

  274. TinaM says:

My mom would love this bag.

  275. Bubby Harmon says:

My name is Hailey. I am five years old. My dad is helping me write this. I love my mom. She is the best mom I have. Me and my mom love Vera Bradley. Santa Clause brought us matching tote bags for Christmas this year! I think that is really cool! My mom like purple and I like pink. I hope you pick my mom to win! I love you Mommy! Love Hailey

  276. Melissa Messina says:

I have to write this…my mother passed away Oct 1st @age 56 of breast cancer, My mother was my best friend, I am so lonely without her here, I know shes with our Lord and Savior in heaven but she will be so missed everyday and Mothers day is going to be so hard, my mother loved Vera Bradleys and left me with a Vera suitcase, totes and many pocketbooks when I saw this print it makes me think of her, being I am a mom of 4 myself this is going on the top of my list. Vera Bradleys make me think of my mom mostly because of this memory, this one sunday in church we were sitting there and she had just bought a new vera print poppy fields pocketbook, I leaned over and said I love that bag mom and she said you want it, I said WHAT she said here take everything out of your bag and switch with me so right there in the pew thats what we did everytime I think of this memory I smile she was so giving and loving. She always told me we were best friends, and we told each other how much we loved eachother all the time, when my mom came home on hospice we only had 2 days with her and she was not really coherent at all but everytime I leaned down and kissed her forehead I said I love you and shed whisper back I love you to miss! I had to share this with all of you life is so short cherish your mothers. Tell them you love them. God Bless you all this mothers day.

  277. Kaitlyn says:

i would love to get this for my mom for mother’s day. she has a lot of medical problems and can’t get around very easily. she has been in the emergency room 7 times in less than 2 months and ust had surgery this past firday. my mother is only 40. my family survives on my father’s paychecks and both my brother and i are in college. my mom works around the house as best she can because she is unable to work a 9-5 job. i know that mother’s day is coming up and i just wish that i could give my motehr this bag and make her day a little brighter.

  278. Kerri says:

I am sending this to my husband as a strong suggestion for a MD gift. It would be so nice to have a pretty bag to take on all my errands for the kids. Perfect for baseball season to stash a snack, extra homework supplies and maybe a book for a rare break in all the activity.

    Thanks!

  279. Ruthie Jackson Scott says:

There’s no way I could begin to express what my Mom means to me. She adopted me when I was 3 months old…that’s just for starters! I love you Mom!

  280. Holly Bowan says:

My mother has always put everyone else first. I’d like for her to be selfish for once! :^)

  281. Karla says:

My mom is my hero. She is such a wonderful lady who always gives of herself and puts everyone else first. She loves flowers so much that we have named her the “crazy flower lady” and the Vera Bradley floral prints always make me think of her. This purse would be the perfect Mother’s Day gift for a lovely lady!

  282. Julie G. says:

My mom has always been the best to help me and give me encouragment through several illnesses. Her support has been something I could always count on. I gave her her first Vera a year ago and she has only carried that one bag since! I would love to give her a different Vera to carry.

  283. Mary Schwallie says:

My Mom is the most selfless person I know. She is always doing for others whether it is taking care of my father who is vision imparied to numerous volunteer “jobs” to helping us with our kids ( 3 of which are special needs ) she never stops and has more energy than I do ! She truly is an amazing Mom to all 5 of her kids and her 12 grandkids.

  284. Tracy says:

Love this bag! What a perfect gift for Mother’s Day!

  285. Rebecca says:

My mom is incredible. She is the kind of woman who knows how to carry herself and can start a conversation with anyone. She is generous and hands down one of the most influential woman in my life. She deeply touches the lives of everyone she comes in contact with. She is my rock and without her I would be lost. Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful mother’s out there!

  286. emily moore says:

My mother birthed eight children….of which I am the oldest. She was valedictorian of her high school and college classes, and gave up a promising career to be a stay at home mom to her 8 children. She sacrificed everything for us, and never once showed any regret. Although we had a large family, she made sure that each one of us felt special and NEVER felt left out. She took what little money we had and made holidays amazing, and never spent a dime on herself. She always knew exactly what to do to put a smile on each one of our faces! She raised us all to be strong, independent and Godly adults. She is such as inspiration to me…i strive each day to be as wonderful of a mother as she was and still is.

  287. Jen says:

Since my mom wants a Vera bag, this would make my job of shopping for that gift a lot easier. πŸ™‚ Besides the fact that she is an amazing mom, grandma and wife, she deserves it and so much more!

  288. Angie says:

I have a wonderful, selfless, giving, thoughtful Mom who helps so many people in so many ways. I would love to win this bag to give to her for Mother’s Day.

  289. Cathy Petersman says:

My Mom is incredible. She took a bad situation and made sure that she made the best of if and never complained or gave up. Last year she retired from her job after 30 years and has really taken on retirement and is enjoying every minute of it. She is always there when I need her and has a great listening ear. She deserves any little gift that can be given.

  290. Cindy F says:

I would give this to my Granny πŸ™‚ My parents got divorced when I was 8 and my Granny was the woman who was always there for me. She raised her own kids and then helped raise her grandkids too. She is the strongest woman I know.

  291. Scarlett says:

My mom is absolutely Amazing! Not only is she a wonderful mother to me and my sisters and brother, she is also the best Marmee (grandmother) ever! We are a family of Vera Bradley fans and I know she would love this Mandy handbag.

  292. Andrea Murphy says:

When I separated from the military my mom was the one who took in my kids and me. A month or so later I found out I was pregnant. I wanted to have an abortion. She wouldnt let me. She said we would work through things. Then I wanted to give my daughter up for adoption because I didnt think I could afford 3 kids. My mom sat me down and told me her and my step dad would adopt their grand child because she was not leaving this family. My youngest is the brightest part of all of our lives and if it wasnt for my mom she wouldnt be here. I would have made a huge mistake. My mom is always there for me when I need her. There is never a time she turns me down when I need help and she always watches the kids so I can have a little me time or so I can go to college. She does for everyone around her too. She drops everything for her friends and always things about others. I never understood it as a kid but I understand it as an adult and I strive to be like her now. She is a HUGE Vera Bradley fan and LOVES all the purses. She would love this one too and I feel she definitely deserves this for Mother’s Day as a thank you for all she does for me and everyone else around her.

  296. Melissa Coffman says:

My mother is the most caring and considerate person i know! I’m 25 years old and she has ALWAYS put me and my sister 1st in her life! My parents are divorced so when we were young she would work so hard to make sure we had everything we nee…ded and strived to give us everything we wanted! She is my best friend! I tell her everything! She is truly an amazing woman and when you think she can’t do anymore, she comes up with something else!! I couldn’t imagine life without my mom! My AWESOME MOM moved from Phoenix, AZ to Nashville, TN recently to be with me and my daughter (her grandaughter), she left behind my brother and sister (who are adults) and the paradise of Arizona and the comforts of home to be with us here in TN. Words can never express how grateful I am for her moving, it has not only helped me with the everyday things, but it has created an even tighter bond between us all….and for that, I would LOVE for my mom to win this purse!! she deserves something “extra special and pretty”!!!!!!! thanks………..

  298. Robin says:

My mom is one of those rocks that you can count on no matter what. At times, I wish she wasn’t so stoic, but when it comes down to it, her stoicism is what makes her such a great person. You know she always will be there for you…no matter what. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer 7.5 years ago at age 34, she was there for me every step of the way along that hard path, as she has been my whole life, if not more. In the past year, she’s had to endure her own personal hardships, including a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease and also her mother’s diagnosis with Alzheimer’s, multiple hospitalizations and a subsequent move to an assisted living facility. Yet, she continues to go through life, living each day to the fullest and sharing her generous spirit with all around her. She truly is one who would give you the shirt off her back to make your life better.

And as a May 2 baby, she has to share her birthday week with Mother’s Day most every year. An extra surprise this year, after a difficult year to say the least, would be wonderful. I know there are so many moms out there worthy of such a wonderful prize as the VB “Mandy” bag, but I do hope you’ll take my mother under consideration. Thank you!

  299. Cheryl says:

My mom is the most wonderful person you will ever meet. She is always there for you if you need her. I am so lucky to have her as my mom ❀

  300. Lynne Feathers says:

My mother stayed home with us when we were small. She taught me to read and write. She taught me right from wrong. She instilled scripture and prayer into our daily lives. She taught me how to cook/clean house, how to play baseball and the list goes on and on. My mother was “older” when she had her kids but it never slowed her down. My mother rocks!

  301. Mary Ambrosino says:

This is a lovely bag and hopefully my daughters will see this post and chip in for Mothers Day…..

  302. Shayna says:

My mom spent the majority of my childhood raising my brother and me as a single mom. Through her sacrifices, she managed to keep food in our bellies and clothes on our backs, not a small feat on her small salary. Although times were tough for us, my mom still managed to spend quality time with us. Her big focus was educating us and she taught us the most important lesson in life . . . be kind to others regardless of your circumstances. My brother and I are both successful and happy people in our personal and professional lives and we wouldn’t have gotten here without my mom’s example.

  303. Mary Liggins says:

My mom is the BEST! She buys me Vera Bradley’s:)

  304. Taryn says:

Being a mother of three myself, I see now how much my mom sacrificed for us through the years. Our moms deserve to be honored, and not just on Mother’s Day. I love my mom! She would love this bag!

  305. Darby Jones says:

My mom. Is the most amazing woman in the world. She takes time out of her life to carry my sister and I to softball games. She carries our family along because she is the only one working because my dad had to retire due to knee injuries. She has always been there for me and my brother and sister, and she will never stop being there for us. My mom deserves this Mandy because she always puts her family before her, and hardly ever pampers herself. I love my mom and I am very appreciative of everything that she has done for me in my fifteen years of life.

  306. LeAnn Sink says:

My mom deserves this 365 days a year, not just for Mother’s Day for telling me I can do anything I want to do and be anything that I want to be and actually meaning it. πŸ™‚

  307. Melissa says:

My mom is my best friend. She quit her job to stay with me when I was diagnosed with cancer at the age on 3. She lost my dad to cancer at the age of 40. She works hard and does it all on her own. She’s the strongest person I know.

  308. Luann says:

My Mom passed about 8 years ago from Alzheimers. She had the most beautiful smile. She would even smile everytime I would visit her while she was sick. I know that her memory of me was fading and she did not know who I was after a while. She passed on a Monday but the Saturday prior she remembered who I was. I knew that she would be leaving me soon after. She was the strongest most loving person in my life and I still miss her every single day. I try to live my life as she did by smiling every day and giving my children all my love.

  309. Jenny Dickens says:

I already got the Weekender in Twirly Birds for my mom, but could always add this to it. You can never have to much Vera!!!

  310. christal Thorning says:

This would be the perfect Mothers Day gift and thank you gift for my mom. My mom is the best and I love her very much and want to thank her for all the help she has given me over the past weeks getting ready for my wedding thats in 6 days and also being the loving and caring mom that she has been.
Thank you Mom I love you and I hope you win this bag!
    Christal

  311. Jessicae says:

My mom is the greatest. She raised three children and for the past 31 years she has taken care of a disabled veteran, along with a mother and father that both have passed away with cancer. She has also raised 2 grandchildren and now a great grandchild. She has so much love and compassion for everyone. If my mom sees someone in need she is always there to help even if it means giving them the shirt off her back. Sometimes it’s hard to watch her help the people, when I know that they are living on a fixed income but helping is what brings joy to her heart and makes her life complete.

  312. Lydia S. says:

My mom is super awesome ! I would love to give this to her as a Mother’s Day gift . She deserves it πŸ™‚

  313. Amanda S. says:

My mom has amazing patience and a great sense of fashion. I got her hooked on Vera Bradley a couple of years ago, and she loves it now. We always have to consult each other before buying new bags, so that we don’t get the same bag. My mom’s a special education teacher in one of the poorest school districts in our state, and she always does extra work for the kids. I’m not sure I can ever work as hard as she has, but she’s a great role model to look forward to. And, I know that it’s not just me that she effects everyday.

  314. Kyung says:

This is a perfect bag for my mom and me!

  315. Laura says:

My mom has always been who I aspire to be. And now as a mother of 2 it’s even more so!

  316. Sheila McNeeley says:

My mother is marvelous because she the most cheerful person I know! She always finds a way to see the bright side and share her kindness with others. This beautiful Mandy bag would make her day! πŸ™‚

  317. Tara D says:

I lost my mother 10 years ago due to complications with diabetes. While I miss her every single day, I am very blessed to have an amazing mother-in-law…she’s been a special gift from God!

  318. Rachel Foster says:

My stepmom is the best! She has stepped into my life and filled the gap where my mother should be.
She always makes sure my needs are taken care of and always helps me with everything I need to do and just wants me to be happy, without her I wouldn’t be who I am today!

  319. Sue says:

My “adopted” mom will be spending Mother’s Day in rehab after hip surgery! She never wants anything for Mother’s Day – “just your company” as she always says. It would be nice if you could surprise her with a beautiful new handbag.

  320. Heather M says:

My mom is my best friend. She has been the only person that has been there for me since day one. No matter what mess i got myself into, she was always there for me. She always offered her advice, but never pushed her own opinions on me. She has always let me go out and test the waters of this thing called life and was there to offer love and encouragement whenever i failed. My parents have been divorced for many years now, and she pretty much became a single parent and divorced wife all at the same time. She worked 2 or 3 jobs at a time just to make ends meet. We never went without, she managed to somehow save up enough money so we would look beautiful at proms and homecomings. I could never thank my mom enough for all the blessings and memories she has given me. She never takes time out for herself, and i cant yet convince her to splurge on a Vera. Hopefully if i win this, she will be able to feel the amazing feeling i get when i carry my vera. Not everyone is lucky enough to have such an amazing mom in their life, and i thank god everyday that i have been blessed with the best mom their is.

  321. Angie says:

I love my Mom and appreciate her even more now that I’m a mom too. She’s always there for me – to listen, lend some good advice – whatever I need. She’s the best!

  322. laura thompson says:

My step father has stage four lung cancer and I have watched my mother handle this with grace and elegance….numerous doctor visits, chemo treatments, she has taken care of him so wonderfully and completely as she has handled everything that life has sent her! She is always smiling and tries so hard to be cheerful so that everyone else gets to fall apart!!! She is my inspiration and I have never been in the position financially to do anything nice for her…. I would love to give this to her as a gift. Her birthday is two days after mothers day and she always get cheated out of a gift just for mothers day!!

  323. Sherry says:

Mandy is Beautiful. This could be my Mom’s First Vera…PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE … She would LOVE LOVE LOVE it…

  324. Jennifer Puffinburger says:

My mother is the 3rd generation in my family of selfless, giving, loving mothers who give their all for their families. I see so many ways that my mother instilled in my brothers and me, the values that our family has upheld for many, many years. She did not always make the popular choice, but she always made decisions based on what was right for our family and what reflected our family’s beliefs, traditions, and values. Almost 3 years ago, I found out that I was expecting, FINALLY making my mother a grandmother. She was ecstatic, and then we found out we were having twin girls! She has given so much time to help me with the twins, between my doctor appointments and theirs, babysitting when we needed help, being the doting grandmother, never passing up a precious outfit or pair of shoes (she keeps them totally fashionable!). And she has done it all over again after the birth of my son 7 months ago. I couldn’t have asked for a better mother myself, and she has to be the best Nana out there! I dearly love my mom, and would LOVE to be able to present her with this beautiful Vera Bradley bag!

  325. Lys says:

My dad is in the Army and has been deployed almost 4 years of my life, so mom and I spent a lot of time alone together. Shopping is one of our favorite things to do when it is just us. When we are out we always try to find a store that sells Vera. I know she will LOVE this bag and I would love to win it for her.

  326. Tammy says:

My mom is a great caregiver when you are sick. I gave her a Vera Bradley bag for Mother’s Day 2010 and she loved it. It was the first she had ever owned.

  327. Sarah says:

My momma works day and night to support 4 children =) and I must say she has done a good job. She is what keeps me going when I’m ready to give up in college =) I love my momma ❀

  328. Kayla B says:

My mom is amazing. My sister recently had a baby named Ella Joy. She lives in NC (we live in PA.) Ella was very colicky as an infant and being my sister’s first child, she was having a hard time adjusting. To make matters worse neither of their families live in NC and her husband has to often travel for work. My mom was ready to come to the rescue. Since Ella was born in December my Mom has made arrangements with her work and her own free time to help my sister. She even went to NC for 3 weeks to help her out.

  329. Vivian says:

My mother is 83 years now but she volunteers every day except Sundays. Since she was diagnosed with a degenerative spine disease she has been unable to carry heavy bags or purses. I introduced her to Vera Bradley and she loves! However, because she thinks that it is a true luxury, she only buys Vera Bradley bags and accessories for me! I think that it’s time for her to have Mandy to hold her personal belongings because she deserves to have something beautiful to have on the outside to reflect the beauty that comes from within
It would truly make her whole day memorable to be honored with a Vera Bradley bag! Thank you for coming up with such a cool idea!

  330. Kathleen Taylor says:

My mom always finds the best in everyone even when it is pretty hard to do. She never splurges on herself and feels bad if someone else does. This would be a great way to splurge on her without making her feel guilty about what it cost.

  331. Shelly Stewart says:

My mother is such a wonderful mom. I have a cronically ill 7 year old son, he had a transplant last August. I also have a 3 year old. And while I am in the hospital with my oldest son, she watches my youngest for me. She spends nights at the hospital with me and supports me when things get a little tough to handle. I like to “spoil” my mom with little gifts whenever I can, and this Vera bag would be a great item to give to her!
    Shelly

  332. Jennie Rine says:

My mom is the greatest person ever. She deserves everything she wants.

  333. Bethany C. says:

Although it may sound cliche but my mom is the BEST Mom in the world! She is truly my best friend. My mom is a ministers wife and I have seen my mom give of herself SOOOOOO many times to help people in our church congregation. My mother is the perfect example of a true lady. We laugh together, cry together, travel together and shop for Vera Bradley together!!!!! I try to buy a new VB bag for her every Christmas, Mothers Day and Birthday….it’s a tradition that I have started. I could write ALL DAY long about my Mom and this blog could never contain everything she means to me. I thank God that that he blessed me with such an amazing mother and I pray that I will be half the mother she is one day when I have my children. Thanks for the opportunity to share a little bit of what my mother means to me.

    ~Bethany~

  334. Kara says:

I love my Mom more than words can say. She’s my best friend. She is always thinking of others and always puts everyone else before herself. Easter Sunday, my Mom not only lost her two grandchildren, but had to watch her own child (my brother) go through that terrible, heartbreaking loss of his own children. I would love to win this bag for her. It’s nowhere near enough and will not end our heartache, but at least it might bring a smile.

  335. Megan G says:

My mother is like the Buzz Lightyear of Moms. She goes above and beyond to always make sure that every single person she knows is taken care of and has everything they need. In my eyes her love goes on to infinity and beyond. Growing up my mom raised me as a single parent and worked nights so she could always be there with me during the day and make sure I was doing all my home work after school. Whenever it came to having friends over or sleepovers my mom would always do something to make my friends feel right at home, whether it be make them one of their favorite snacks or take us all out to do something we enjoyed together. I always remember and still hear to this day all my friends telling me “Your Mom Is SO Cool”. 16 years ago this Mothers Day, my mom lost her mother. So, I always try to make mothers day a great day for her and shower her with love like she has for me over the years. Last June, my fiance’s house had a fire explosion and they lost almost everything. Who was the first person there? My Mom and I! She brought water and ended up spending alot of her own hard earned money to help get him and his family back on there feet. My fiance views mom as a hero for that. This mothers day I plan to have my fiance and myself cook my mom one of her favorite meals and just let her put her feet up, stay out of the kitchen and relax. My mom deserves the best. I know opening up a gift box with a Mandy in her favorite print (Twirly Birds Pink) would fill her with tons of joy!

  336. Kim G. says:

My mom is awesome because she is so caring and compassionate towards others. She gives so much of herself to make others have a great day. She’s always great at cheering me up and I love her very much!

  337. Angela Burge says:

My mom has spent her lifetime taking care of others. She spent years working at a home for juvenile deliquent girls and later at a home for veteran’s children. When she and Dad started their family, they did not anticipate the medical issues their own children would have…me with destructive middle-ear tumors called cholesteatomas and my brother with the deadly heart condition, Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. Together my brother and I have had more than 20 surgeries and Mom was our main caretaker after each one. As if her plate wasn’t already full enough, my sophomore year of high school my parents began to be foster parents to some of the most needy children in the care of the state of Pennsylvania. Most of the children they hosted were teenagers with long histories that few others were willing to take care of. She worked relentlessly to better their lives and to instill in them a desire to want something more for themselves. She still receives phone calls from one of “her” children who is now in the Armed Forces serving our country, as well as from a girl whose life she influenced more than 40 years ago.

Mom is loved by many and she has done so much for others! She has been a shining example of what motherhood should look like…a life of giving. She is a fan of Vera Bradley and has several bags, but none more recent than Purple Punch. It would be lovely to honor her this way and give her a new bag on Mother’s Day!

  338. Sandra Buxton says:

It isn’t the things you would expect a mom to do that makes my mom great. It is the unexpected things she does everyday that makes my mother the best friend a daughter could ask for.

  339. Audrey Frost says:

My mom isn’t with us anymore but I know my boys would love me to have this gorgeous bag! LOL!

  340. Michele says:

My mom is an amazing strong woman. She stayed by my dad who faught cancer for 16 years. How she kept it together the last 3 months of his life, I will never know! She was our glue when he passed away 2 years ago. Now we support her as she is marking her one year of fighting her own cancer battle.

  341. Nikole Lee says:

My mom is definitely my best friend. When it came time to pick my matron of honor for my wedding 12 years ago, there was only one person I even considered — MY MOM! She loves Vera Bradley, but doesn’t buy them for herself because she would rather spend the money on others.

  342. Jolene Thurston says:

My mother has always put her 4 kids first. She has always went without to we could have nice things. To this day she puts her family first, she is a very hard worker and works full-time and still has time to spend with each of her kids and grandkids. She picks them up from after school events even if she has worked since 5 am. She attends all family functions. She keeps the family together even if we try to go a different way. Every holiday she cooks a homecooked meal we can have time together as a family.

  343. Ashley says:

My mom is wonderful in every way. I couldn’t have asked for a better mother. She has always been there for me through thick and then. She puts her needs last and everyone else first. She has been through alot over the last year over the loss of my grandmother. I hope to make this a special mothers day for her.

  344. Jenni R. says:

My mom, Alice, is such a giving person. While raising her 5 children alone she made sure to put our needs above her own. She always made sure we had what we needed even if that meant she went without. We are a Vera loving family and I would love to be able to give this to my mom. For my wedding my mom gave me a large duffle in New Hope, my wedding colors, for my baby shower I was giving the New Hope diaper bag by my mom and just now she replaced it with a Mediterrainian Blue diaper bag for baby #3 since my first got so much use. I am so blessed to have her as my mom. Thank you for this opportunity.

  345. Sherri Zbylut says:

My mom raised 3 girls (my two sisters and I) almost by herself. My father was in the air force, so he was gone a lot, and served in Iraq 2005-2006. My mother went to school for her nursing degree while my sisters and I were young, and she also became a volunteer firefighter for the community. She juggled the responsibilities of being a mother, firefighter, nurse, wife and woman of faith, and she did it all well. I love my mother and she deserves more than this purse, she deserves everything.

  346. Junie says:

Winning a Mandy would be dandy. It would also come in very handy. All of my VB’s are very functional and useful. I’d love to add the Mandy in one of the new colours. Thank You Vera Bradley! ❀ ❀ ❀

  347. Emily Manns says:

My mom really deserves this. My parents were divorced when I was 3 and it was just me and my mom my whole life. I never remember going without as a child she got me everything I wanted. It wasn’t until I was alittle older about 15 when I realized how much she was giving up for me when I got pregnant she supported me 100% I would see her sewing holes in her socks to make sure my son and I had everything we needed. My son is 12 now and my mom had to move to Texas for work from Ohio when her job was sent overseas. She found a Vera Store at her local mall and fell in love started buying all kinds of stuff even sending me things because for the first time in life she could do for herself. Move to today 2 years after this My husband lost his job and I am not in good health my mom has asked us to move to Texas with her which we are in July. The new patterns came out and I asked her if she would be getting the new one she loved and she said no not for awhile she is saving every penny to get a bigger apt so we can come live with her. I would love to give her this bag letting her know that for 28 years her sacrifieces have not gone un noticed and that even if we don’t say it as much as we should with all of life’s stresses She is the best mommy and I love her sooo much. Thank You

  348. Lori says:

I’m always astonished by my Mom’s perseverance to do just the little things every day. She has suffered with scleroderma for the last 30 plus years and has not let it stop her love of gardening. What you & I unknowingly take for granted, is a real task for her, holding a pen to sign her name, using a stemware glass just for a dring of water and so much more. The Mandy bag looks like just the right size to carry her personal belongings along with the small medical supplies she must carry. Would love to just say pick a pattern Mom, it’s yours, Happy Mother’s Day! Hope everyone has a great Mother’s Day!

  349. Krista W. says:

Even though my mom is going through her own health issues, she still took time this weekend to celebrate birthdays and Easter by cooking a big family dinner and my sister’s favorite dessert. She took her grandkids to the circus and enjoyed time with them. All while not showing her pain or tiredness, just enjoying the moments. She’s the best in my eyes. God gave her to me and my kids for a reason, to show us His strength.

  350. Katie says:

My mom is amazing. Throughout my life she has supported me in everything! She attended every sporting event that I was a part of, encouraged and supported me through every level of education, and taught me what kind of parent I want to be. Now that I have two daughters of my own, I get the opportunity to practice what I saw her preach for the last 30 years. I’m not getting the opportunity to see that, not only is she an amazing mother, she’s a phenomenal grandmother, as well. She deserves the absolute best!

  351. Robin Deardeuff says:

All Mom’s deserve a Vera! Some of us still have our Moms, while others may no longer have theirs to spend with them this Mother’s Day. However everyone of us know of a special Mom that would be deserving of this Vera. Thank you VB for allowing opportunities of gifting! Pay it forward!!

  352. Torilynn Bruno says:

My mom is the best. I am 7 yrs old and she showed me this n said she wants to win it so she is helping me with my typing. She does alot for all of us and never for herself. She volunteers at me and my brothers school, She is dug out mom on Garretts baseball team, and cooks the food for all our parties at school. I think my mom should win this because I love her and so would everyone else if they met her. Thank you

  353. Rebecca Ferguson says:

I am 26 years old and have to say, My mom is my best friend. She is always there for me, and espically now that I am a mother myself, I have so much more respect for her. She is a strong beautiful person. We have been through a lot together… over the years, but that is why our relationship is so strong now. I can tell her anything. She gives me the strength I need to get through the worst possible days. I love her.. She deserves to get this purse and sooo much more!

  354. Carole says:

I love the cheery floral print and the size of the bag is perfect too!

  355. sonja says:

My mom is wonderful — can’t imagine life without her

  356. Kimberly Hare says:

My mother raised my brother and I as a single mother and always went without to see that we had everything that we needed. My brother and I are grown now and we try to show Mom how much we appreciate her and everything that she has done for us. My Mom is always willing to help others, and she is an active volunteer with the local fire department ladies auxillary, the VFW auxillary, the local senior center and Quilts for Kids. She is wonderful and so deserving.

  357. CFog says:

My Mom is always saying she’s “stubborn”. Stubborn is hanging on to the house when we were wearing high-water pants in the 70s and early 80s and being thankful for food that others gave us so we could make payday stretch just a little farther. Stubborn is undergoing an hysterectomy and breast cancer treatments alone, because her then-husband decided he didn’t want to be married any more. Stubborn is burying a many who loved her, then designing and living out a dream trip across the US to visit friends and family as his last gift to her.

I hope I’ll be able to give my stubborn Mom a Mandy.

  358. Courtney says:

My mother has the biggest heart. She has tried her hardest to raise her 4 children the best she can on her own and is now raising my niece. My moms ben through it all divorce, teen pregnancy of my sister, and she still hold her head high and greets everyday with a smile:). If I had a dollar for all the times my mom has told me she loved me all the bunches in the world and more I’d be a billionaire!

  359. Denise G. says:

I love this bag. It would be great to win one for my mom!

  360. Lindsay G says:

My mom is amazing because she works at her job all day, then comes home and cooks three different meals and keeps our home and family going. She spends her spare time at her children’s athletic events or doing extra work to pay for college. She is strong and has a generous heart. She never left us with a babysitter to have a night of fun. She lived for her kids. She bails me out of predicaments, and teaches me how to solve my own. She likes to have new things, but will take our hand-me-downs, so that we may get new things instead. She is understanding and kind. Her love is undying and unmitigated. She deserves this bag at the very least, because she is the best mom anyone could ask for.

  361. Wendy says:

Words can not express the appreciation I have for my mom for all the years of hard work she put forth. It’s a never ending job, so true when they say “A Mother’s work is never done”. I will be forever grateful for having such a wonderful mother in my life.

  362. Autumn Schumacher says:

My mother is the strongest person that I know. She is recently divorced and has three children, one of whom is in college, who is she is supporting without any aid. She works full time on top of caring for my ill grandmother. My mother doesn’t show her anxiety or ask for help she just does what is needed. My mother deserves this bag because she just needs something good for herself. She always gives but never receives.

  363. Judy Lee says:

My Mom was the sweetest, most respected, wonderful Mom and friend ever! She raised 5 daughters, the oldest being handicapped and requiring her 24/7 care. Mom passed several years ago, and not a day goes by that I don’t miss her. She would be so proud of all her children and grandchildren. Happy Mother’s Day, Mama!

  364. Vicki says:

I would give this purse to my husband’s grandmother. She is one of the most selfless people I know and does not buy handbags regularly because they are not a necessity, but will spoil everyone else with them. It’s her turn now!

  365. Jessica says:

My mom is an amzing woman. 2 days after I graduated from college and got engaged, my mom started college. She wants to start working so my dad can retire early. She also has been helping me plan my wedding and is a great person to bounce ideas off of. I want to get her an amazing mother’s day gift, and this would be a great help!

  366. Carla Owens says:

There are so many reason my Mom is the best! She worked so hard so many years to help support our family, also while attending college. She was always so busy, but was able to spend a lot of time with me too. She made sure I had everything I needed and wanted. She has been there when anyone in our family needed anything. She is a cancer survivor. She had cancer where the stomach and esophogus meet, was given an extremely low chance of survival, but she is here almost 20 years later, she is a fighter. She lost her mother a little over two years ago, but has been there to keep the family strong, even through her sadness. This week she will be going through my Dad’s heart procedure. I want her to know how much she is loved and appreciated.

  367. rachel b. says:

my mom is always buying things for her kids & grandkids but never herself! she deserves something nice for all her generosity!

  368. Courtney D says:

Vera Bradley is something I like to “treat” my Mom to on those special occasions – Birthday’s, Mother’s Day’s, Christmas, or just because I miss her since we live in different areas. She is always taking care of others before she makes sure to take care of and treat herself, and I know how much it means to see her excitement when she opens up one of those green Vera Bradley bags to reveal a new one for her slowly growing collection I’ve started for her πŸ™‚ Recently, she found out she needed to have a kidney transplant, due to her Type II Diabetes and the effects it was taking on her kidneys. Talk about a scary situation to go through – especially because we couldn’t all be with her at the hospital for the transplant. Luckily, we have been so blessed with the results and she truly faces each day with such a sunny attitude now, after going through something so scary and coming out a survivor! This Vera Bradley would really warm my Mom’s heart – not just for Mother’s Day, but every time she carried it – knowing how lucky we are to have her as our Mom!

  369. Jeanne Slatkay says:

My mom is one of my favorite people and one of my best friends as well! She is a very giving , caring person and her loving spirit for her family and friends inspires me.

  370. Amy F says:

My mom is the best! She only tells me I don’t call enough about once a week. πŸ˜‰

  371. elizabeth may says:

i loveeee this bag, and so would my mother!!
she has been so amazing, my best friend, and my mom all at the same time
she has gotten me through my rough high school years and has shared stories with me about her past that i wouldnt have expected her to.
she has been the most amazing blessing in my life and i know i couldnt live without her. (especially when i need a chitchat while feeling lonely while im away at college!)

    she definitely deserves this!
    πŸ™‚

  372. Heather D says:

My mom is the best!! She raised me & my 2 brothers by herself for a few years, before she met my step dad. During that time we lived with my grandparents, until they bought a house together. She was my leader in Girl Scouts, she was also involved in my brothers Boy Scout troop and she drove us when all 3 of us were Explorers (a part of Boy Scouts). She is still involved in Scouts along with my stepdad. Now she & my stepdad come to my son’s Cub Scout events. She does alot for us and we do alot for her. I think she deserves a beautiful purse.

  373. Samantha Kostrzewa says:

All moms deserve the best we can give them. They sacrifice so much. Not only moms but aunts, grandmothers, and our best friends. So to all females with or without children Happy Mothers Day.

My mom is one of the few that has found a way to be a mother and a friend. She can figure out when I need one or the other. She is beautiful and I love her very much.

  374. Anita says:

I have a Mandy bag, it was my splurge on my purchase about 2 months ago….love it!!! I think my mom would love it too, the pockets inside are great, all the way around. It would be my mom’s first VB bag….and at 83 she really deserves it.

  375. Lisa says:

Great bag, would love to win it!

I love my mom!! She is fabulous!!

  377. Corina says:

My Mom and I Live in different parts of the world and I can always count on her to be my biggest cheerleader. She is coming to visit in August and it would be great to surprise her with this cute bag . Though I will be sad when she leaves it will be fun to watch her walk though the airport saying “my wonderful daughter won this for me. “

I would love to give this beautiful Mandy to my Mom for Mother’s Day and her “xx” birthday (“a lady never tells her age”). She shares my love of all things Vera Bradley, and would be thrilled to get the Mandy bag. I take my VB duffel to the gym and carry my VB tote to work every day. I couldn’t get along without my mom or my VB!

  383. amber godown says:

My mom was a fabulous mom when we were kids but what she does that now melts my heart even more is she is a fabulous grandmother to four kids that love her deeply. This role shall now be cherished forever by not only the kids but by myself as well. Happy mothers day mom we ALL love and cherish you.

  384. Anne Chen says:

I have a stepmom, because my mom left my dad and I when I was a child. She has never calls me as her stepchild and when she introduces me she always says this is my daughter. I always call her mom, and I get irritated when people ask me,”Isn’t that you stepmom?” I just say it’s my mom. She always spends time with me and we just go through the trauma from the past about my birth mother, when she tried to contact me. I really want to get something for my mom but I want it to be a surprise from my parents. She LOVES Vera Bradley bags and she probably hasn’t seen this pattern yet so it’ll be a great surprise for her.

  385. Lisa Q says:

recently found out mom has leukemia, this would brighten her day!!!

  386. Sherry says:

My mom is the best she puts everyone else before her self. She raised me and my sister by her self when my dad passed away when I was little. She would love to have a Vera bag she doesn’t have one. I love you mom your the best.

  387. Traci says:

Would LOVE to carry this or possibly give to My Mom!! She’s the BEST!

  388. Raffety says:

My mom deserves it, because she wasn’t a perfect mom, and admits she would have done things differently at times. As a mom myself I totally get what she means! She raised kind, caring, considerate , and productive members of the human race!!

  389. Toni S. says:

I think my Mom would love this, just like I love her.

  390. Marisa Pidala says:

My mom is the greatest person in the world. She is my best friend and in general just a fantastic woman. She cares so much about others, and would drop anything to help someone. She is a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife and daughter. She really makes a difference in my life and I would love to be able to give her a nice present this mothers day.

Thanks Vera for always having contests, or free shipping, and deal of day! My mother and I love our Veras!

  391. Jennifer Crosby says:

We are lucky ladies! Many of us have Momma’s who put others before themselves. I will add to the list of having a great Momma! She always spoils my sister and I and my sister-in-law with Vera! I love to spoil her too! If I win this bag for her, I will add accessories to it to make it a great set!

  392. Rachel T says:

I love my mom! She has overcome so much in her life. Her parents divorced when she was alittle girl. After she met my dad, he moved her from Michigan to PA. She left all of her family to come to PA, she knew no one. They married and had 3 children. She worked very hard to support her family, my dad was going back to college then for a teaching degree. They were married for 8 years. She later found out that he had been unfaithful during their entire marriage. After realizing all of the ‘friends’ she’d made were involved with her husband, she was left embarrassed and humiliated. Her world was crushed. She decided to stay in PA, I don’t know how she had the strength. Later, her mother came to live beside her. Ahh, mothers to the rescue!
Then a few years later, came more ugliness. She started dating a man who later turned out to be physically abusive. This went on for 5 years. It was the ugliest time in all of our lives. I never thought it would end. Waking up in the middle of the night, hearing him yelling at her and painfully hearing her scream out in pain….I can barely type, it hurts too much to admit. She later told me that she realized she needed to get out, came once when he was jumping on her head trying to smash it. She said, I’m going to die and leave my 3 children abandoned for this!? For this idiot!? Right then and there she made a change. After months of struggling, he finally left.
Then, my mom lost her house. Had to move into a rented 5 bedroom home. It was perfect for us, she and my siblings and my grandmother. We felt so lucky to have enough room for everyone. Then my mom lost her job. This was a job she’d worked at for 18 years, needless to say she was devastated. It took nearly a year to get her back on her feet.
My grandma was diagnosed with dementia a year ago. And now my mom struggles daily. She did find a new job, now works with a boss who is bipolar. She never knows what kind of mood he’s in when she comes to work. Doesn’t know what kind of day it’s going to be. Then arrives at home to find out what kind of mindset my grandmother is going to be in. I feel so bad for my mother. She will never own a home, never own a car, never actually feel safe. She doesn’t have nice things. She gets so excited when I surprise her with Vera gifts, think of a child getting their favorite gift..the light in their faces..the joy it brings your heart. I try so hard to get her to see she deserves nice things.
She has never remarried. She has told me that apparently, she’s not supposed to find someone to love her, that she’s meant to be alone. I told her, she has 3 children that love her so much! And yes she deserves to find love. Just get out there and look! No, my mom chooses to dedicate her life to her family.
Now that my sister and I have moved out of the house, she’s left with my brother and grandmother. Now this perfect sized house, is too big. She struggles to pay rent and bills each month. My grandmother helps out but doesn’t remember what she paid, how much she paid, etc. Her dementia is becoming worse, she’s hallucinating and is very confused. She also falls on a regular basis. My mom is almost at her wits end. But still she fights on.
I apologize for such a lengthy entry, I wanted to keep it short. But when I speak of my mother, I tend to ramble on and on. I feel she has had so much sadness and pain in her life. I want her to have nice things and see there’s so much more in the world that she’s missing out on. I want her to one day relax and not have to worry about bills, not have to screen her calls from collectors. One day I want to live with my husband and myself, I want us to live in her dream home…with a wrap around porch and a big willow tree in the yard. She’s never had it easy, I hope I can do something wonderful for her. Because, she deserves the very best and more!

  393. Michelle Auger says:

I know I can’t win but I wanted to express that my Mom was the best (she passsed last July). She alway did without so her three daughters could have the best. She was the strongest women I’ve ever know.

  394. Debora says:

My mom is so special to me not just because she gave me life but has helped me be the women and wife and mother I am today. I owe her everything and what better gift to give her then this beautiful Mandy bag.

  395. M. says:

My mother was fabulous! I recently lost her, and I am glad that I told her often how much I loved her and how grateful I was to her for all of her love and help throughout the years. I know you can hear me, mom. Love you!

  400. Debbie says:

Love this bag and would love to win!

  401. Shannon says:

My Mom is amazing… she lives 150 miles away from me and my little ones, but one to twice a month, she comes and gets all 3 of my little ones and takes them for the weekend, just so I may have a weekend to relax. She works a 50 hour work week on top of. My mom is the type to always be cooking, too. She has started my oldest (4 years old) baking cookies. She has taught me everything I know when it comes to the kitchen. We recently had a huge flood in our home, she has dropped what she was doing to come over and help. She has cleaned, replaced tile, moved furniture, boxed up our belongings… She never wants for anything except for her 3 children to be happy and do well. She is truly amazing. She has a huge heart. She always is there for you when you need her. I am truly blessed to have her in my life. Its hard to find words to thank her. Nothing seems to come close. She is a treasure.

  402. Laura Bost says:

My mom has driven 3 hours to come take care of my daughter when my husband and I were sick, takes my daughter for a week at a time so that my husband and I can have some time for just the two of us and does practically everything for others. She make countless quilts for injured military, who spend time in the hospital without visitors/family, orphaned children, people with disabilities. It would be nice to say how much she is appreciated with a Mandy.

  404. Elizabeth says:

My mom is the greatest! And the most selfless of all and I adore her for it. She gave a kidney to my grandpa and then suffered through colon cancer only to find she had kidney cancer in addition in the only kidney she had. She went through with calm and grace andnow functions on half a kidney and you’ll never hear a word of complaint about any of it. I love her with all my heart and now she’s the best Grammy too to my little girl!

Another beautiful Vera! Keep them coming πŸ™‚

  408. Sarah says:

I know everyone thinks their mom is the greatest in the world but mine really is! She will give to anyone and everyone, including perfect strangers, before she would ever think about getting or doing anything for herself. The moment you meet her, you fall in love with her. She is my hero and the woman that I hope to one day become! I love her more than I could ever form words for.

  409. Pam says:

My mom never puts herself first. Between my Dad, siblings, and her grandkids she does everythign for everyone else. It’s so admirable πŸ™‚

  410. michelle says:

I love my mother, she’s done a lot for me and for others. Through out her life she’s taken care of the sick and comforted those who have lost a loved one. She is always there when you need her and a shoulder to cry on. I’m so glad she’s in my life. Love you mom!

  411. Tiffany says:

I lost my Mom in 1996 due to an aneurysm. She was my best friend in the whole world. It was a huge shock and traumatic to my family. 3 months prior I met this wonderful man while at college and little did I know he would become my husband. His Mother told me at my Mother’s funeral that she knew she could never take my Mother’s place but she realized God had put her on earth to watch over me and be there for me when I needed a Mother. My Mother-in-law I truly believe is an angel in disguise. She has treated me like I am her own and I call her Mom. Although I miss my Mom dearly I could not ask for a better stand in than my Mother-in-law. I call her my “udder mudder”. She is wonderful and I love her!

  412. Nicole says:

My mom carried a Vera Bradley bag which I gave to her as a mothers day gift in 2005 all during her breast cancer treatments the following year. Within her bag, she carried her activities to keep her busy and her mind off treatment through chemo treatments and games to play with other cancer patients and also took the bag to over 40 sessions of radiation. Then, less than 2 years later she was diagnosed with Leukemia(APL) and she again carried her Vera Bradley bag to and from her hospital stays and daily arsenic treatments over the course of 10 months. As of today, my mom is cancer free and what a treat it would be to give her a new bag for Mother’s Day to begin a new cancer free chapter of her life!

  413. Cindy Walters says:

I just started getting my mom Vera Bradley items and she’s loving all of it. I would love it if she would win a Mandy Purse. Plus, Mandy was my favorite baby dolls name so that would make it more special for her.

I lost my mom in 1997. There is not a day goes by that I don’t think about her. Thanks for a chance to win a beautiful bag. I love ALL things Vera Bradley!

  418. Erika says:

My mom has been my best friend and biggest supporter for as long as I can remember. She was never afraid to let me fall and she was there to dust me off and to help me learn from the experience. What she does for others is amazing. She is a middle school teacher and takes care of my step father, who is unable to work, and stops at my Grandmother’s house every day to help her out. She never complains or acts the martyr, she willingly gives of her time and talents. It is difficult for her living many states away from her children and grandchildren, but this Vera, her first, would brighten an otherwise melancholy day!

  419. Wendy Goodman says:

My Mom is the best. She has done so much for our family and continues to give so much. I got her into Vera Bradley a few years ago and she would love a new Mandy!

  421. Amber says:

My mom has been through so much. She has ALWAYS put her family first and never did anything for herself until my father passed away (I MADE her then). She is always willing to help others even if she doesn’t have much to offer. This would be a wonderful gift for her!!

  422. Jenny Martin says:

My mom is my best friend….she can tell just by my voice when I have something bothering me! She loves me even when she is frustrated with me! She has been the best “Marmee” my kids could have! She spoils them, and loves them almost more than she loves me! She has been a lifesaver–keeping them once or twice a week afterschool until bedtime–so I get one or two “free” hours after work! She is the person I have always relied on, looked up to and loved–Life would not be the same without her!

  423. Marsha says:

My Mom is such a wonderful Mom. For the last 10-15 years, she has struggled with health issues and still continues to this day to give of herself. She is so strong and never gives up. She continues to give of herself to help her family and others whenever she can. I, myself, have a chronic disease which I suffer from symptoms everyday. I have looked at my Mom and have learned not to give up on life and not to let it get me down. She has been such a great example to me all throughout my whole life. This bag would be a wonderful gift for her as well as her very first Vera bag. Please consider her for this gift.

She deserves a new beautiful bag for mother’s day because for forty seven years she has given unconditionally to me and my family, always sacrificing so we could be taken care of. She always puts herself last and goes without. That is why she deserves a wonderful mother’s day with a new bag.

I would love to make my mom’s mothers day a little brighter (and more colorful) with a mandy. πŸ™‚

  435. Susan Hubbard says:

In August 2009 I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. My mother has been by my side ever since. She went with me to all of my doctor appointments, waited through my 8 hour surgery, slept in the hospital waiting room when I was in ICU, then stayed with me at the hospital for the 9 days I was there. After I came home she was here everyday taking care of me, taking me to radiation and chemo appointments, feeding me and just being here. I needed my mother during this hard time in my life, even at the age of 54. And my mother was here for me, by my side! I love my mother very much. It would be wonderful to give her a special Vera Bradley bag, though I could never repay her for what she did for me!

This past year I had to move back home and am now a commuter at college. Last year when I lived on campus I had a hard time with the roommate situation. She was there for me, even though I was in another state. And she even drove up to my college to spend a day helping me with my work because I was struggling. She is not only the best Mom I could ask for but the Best housemate. I Love living at home with her.
She has passed so Many things onto me, her love of cooking, love of life, love of family and most important Love and respect and equality for Every human on earth.

  454. Deb Casey says:

I wish I could give one to my mom, but she died three years ago. My sister, Dee, has stepped into the role of mom for our family. She even recently got me hooked on Vera Bradley and surprised me with some gifts from the big sale-how could I refuse?? πŸ™‚ I can’t thank her enough for all that she’s done for me. My mother is wonderful! She has been through so much this year. We have battled cancer and we are still not feeling well, but she still has a smile on her face! She would never buy a Mandy for herself, but it would wonderful to give her one for mothers day!

  462. Laura M says:

Growing up, my house was always the house people wanted to hang out at. My mom kept the fridge stocked with pop, the pantry full of oreos, and the house was always open to guests. But I think one of the reasons everyone liked coming over so much was to hang out with my mom. Most of our time was spent sitting around the kitchen island talking with her. Several of my friends didn’t have close relationships with their mothers, but mine was there to help fill in the void. She loved on my friends just as much as me and my sister and I know it meant the world to them.
Once my sister and I both left for college, she started working at a middle school. She now ‘mothers’ 20 something 7th grade girls who are going through one of the roughest patches of adolescence. She has them over for sleepovers, advises them on boys, and supports them in their school work. While all of these girls have their real mothers at home, I think having the second mom, who doesnt make them clean their room and take out the trash, can be a great thing. A girl can never have too many mothers watching out for her.
My mom continually gives of her self to her family, and her “adopted” family. My sister and I both consider her our best friend and she is always there when we need her, for anything. She is kind, caring, and so loving. I know she would do anything for me. And I know she made a huge difference in my life, and the life of many others.

  463. Erika Wilson says:

My mom (mother in law) is amazing. I lost my own mother to cancer when I was 25 and my mother in law stepped in to be my tower of strength. We have a wonderful friendship and I look to her for wisdom and advice. She gives so much of herself to me and my daughter(her granddaughter). I just love her and I am so thankful for her.

    from Abigail age 10

  467. starr crutcher says:

My mom is marvelous in so many ways. She is the most selfless, caring, sweetest andmost beautiful person I have ever met. Growing up, I knew I twas lucky because my mother always did the best shes could for my brother and I. She worked 3 jobs at one time so she could give us things we wanted/needed. She always taught us the most vaaaluable lessons of life. Be kind to everyone, always pray, and always remain true to yourselves. This past year, my brother passed away. It has been the most difficult time of our lives. My mother has felt like giving up more times than I could count. Although, she is still mourning over his loss, she has never gave up on faith and she never once underestimated the power of prayer. I believe that is what saved her life. I admire her for continuing on and pushing on thru this hard time. I am so lucky and blessed to have her as a mom. She is not only my mom, but she is my best friend and will always be my hero. Words could never describe how much she means to me and how thankful I am for her.

  468. Maureen Modic says:

Where do I begin….my Mom was born to be a Mother…she raised 6 children who love her so very much! She always put us first and always made us feel loved. To this day I honestly consider her my best friend. When I was pregnant with my son, I never realized that as I grew older I needed her more…she was with me through my pregnancy and the first few months of my son’s life, everyday. She helped me grow from a daughter into a mother. And for that I am forever grateful!

  469. Lisa sersion says:

    Dear Vera,
I wrote this once but I don’t think it went through so let me try again.
My Mom is marvelous and deserves to win this because she’s the most humble person I’ve ever known. She and my Dad raised nine children. Eight Daughters and one son. She dressed us for Sunday school every Sunday morning (dressed alike!) and sometimes didn’t have time to get ready herself for getting us ready. She has always turned the other cheek and has been a wonderful Christian mother. She taught us wrong from right always. She’s given her all not only to us but to everyone. While we were all little our house was the place for all kids to see all the love my mom gave to all. She’s been through many struggles and trials in her 81 years of life but through it all she still has her beautiful smile and hugs for all. After losing my 18 year old son in an automobile accident and losing my Dad a few years ago she has kept her faith and is still pressing on. If you knew her, you’d love her and see exactly why my Mom is so deserving! This would make her Mothers Day as well as mine too! I’m an Vera Bradley collector and have almost everything in the razberry fizz. EVERYTHING! Now collecting twirly birds blue and pink. Thank you so much for considering my precious mother for she’s a sweetheart and deserves it!! Thank you!!

I remember how she always dressed when we were kids and money was tight. Even now, she will be 81 July 2011, she is one stylish lady. I remember the comments that were made when we went out ~ even to the grocery store, as she always dressed appropriately. She even wore classy outfits and heels to my Brownie Meetings ~ way back in the day! I would love to honor her this Mother’s Day with such an awesome “bag” to WEAR when she lunches with her lady friends.
Happy Mother’s Day to ALL the MOMS out there!!

I stay with my children 24 hours a day because they need constant care. I love them and wouldn’t change a thing, they don’t understand hoildays so sometimes I feel left out but then I look in their smiling faces and its worth it all.

  478. Christie Schuler says:

My mom has had a major surgery due to degenerative bone and joint disease since I was 10 years old, I’m now 25. Through it all she never ever really missed a beat. Even though she was always was in cronic/ constant pain she always made it to my gymnastic meets, my high school colorguard and winterguard shows, always made sure we were having fun. She took us to Disney world one year even though she was told not to and was forced to be in a wheelchair the whole time just so we could enjoy our childhood. Now my sister and I are starting to show the signs of having the same disease and she is devastated. She is more concerend about our pain than she is her own even though she is facing another very long and very painful total hip and feamer replacement very soon (her 5th thanxs to recalled parts). My mom absolutely loves Vera Bradley and receiving this purse would brighten up her day and make her smile. And that to me is priceless!! My mom is marvelous!

My Mom is no longer with us. she suffered for many years with MS. No matter how sick she was, she managed to raise 4 children. i always admired her strength she had even when she was bedridden. she was a true friend to me, and i miss her terribly! Love you Mom!

  480. Sara Perkins says:

My Mom, is such a wonderful person, growing up she would do anything for all 4 of her girls. She was a single Mom, and a great one at that. Today, we are all grown up and would do anything for us. She now has a serious heart condition, in which her doctors want her to rest. She will not listen to him, and still continues to work 2 jobs, over 60 hours a week. I wish as her daughter I could help her more financially, but times are tough for everyone. Now as a Mom myself, I know I am confident I am being a great mom as long as I follow in my mothers footsteps!

  481. Kelly Wentling says:

  482. Lauren Garcia says:

My sweet Momma is the most wonderful, caring person I know. Her name is Tammy and I am so blessed to call her Momma! She gives all of herself to the ones she loves, and her heart is full of love. She often sacrifices things for herself just to make sure some one else is happy. My Mom has lost two of her three children, I don’t know how any Mom can survive that. As a mom now myself I understand the love she has for me and the continued love for her children in Heaven. My sister passed away at age twenty from a terrible accident, her name was Mandy. I would love for my Mom to get the “Mandy” bag because she IS the best mom anyone could ever hope for! I love you Momma! Happy Mothers Day!

  493. Shari says:

All my life, when asked who I like to most like when I grew up…well, now grown with 2 children of my own and a new Grandson, I would say the same thing…my mother…she not only raised 4 children but managed to sew for us, cook wonderful meals, make jams, noodles, soups, ect and was a fulltime Geriatric RN. She was cute but not that cute. It’s only 9am.

  497. Kathryn Boyers says:

My mother has stayed strong and raised two daughters who love her. She works at least 50+ hours a week preparing lessons, grading, and teaching special education students. She did and has done all of this all while not being able to hardly walk and having to take multiple medicines just so she can stay healthy and alive. She puts everyone first, especially her students, before herself. Since she’s helping me pay for college I just thought it would be nice to be able to win her something to show that I appreciate everything she does.

With lots of Love and a great big thank you, I wish her a very Happy Mother’s Day!

My mom passed away just a month ago so this will be our first Mother’s Day without her. I know though that she loved Vera goodies and would have loved the new patterns. I think the Mandy bag is perfect for my daughter though with her 4 kids and busy life. She would keep it stuffed full I know.

  506. Suzanne says:

Every Mom deserves a Mandy – Nothing says love like a Vera Bradley bag.

  507. Missy says:

My mother is the most kind, caring, and considerate person I have ever known. She raised four girls on a small salary: staying home with us during the day, and working at night while we were sleeping. Oftentimes, she would go without eating just to make sure that her children had enough in their bellies. She struggled as we grew, but always persisted in trying to give us everything we needed, including putting all four of us through college while going into extreme debt to do so. She didn’t just say she wanted a better life for us than she had–she worked to give it to us. My mother deserves so much more than a purse—but it is a beautiful bag that she would never be able to afford herself. I hope you pick her–she is the best!

  508. Kate says:

    Vera has done it again!

  509. TrishaB says:

All I can say it that I have the best mom. She has put my sister and I first in her life at all times. Whatever we needed she made sure we had it. It would be so nice to be able to give this wonderful gift to say Thank you.

  510. Lori O'Leary says:

Mother’s Day is always the hardest day for me to show my “best Friend” what she means to me…she is the world! And funny, she is not just the world to me-but to everyone she meets! Due to the fact that we look nothing alike-when I visit her at work, I get to hear how much people love her and how they don’t know what they would do without her~and then I get to say “yup, that’s my mom!!!!” We have had our ups and downs together and thankfully together we can get through them with a smile:) Yesterday, after weeks of various testing, We found out that she is cancer free!!!!!! I smiled when we got the news-I’m not sure what I would have done if the cancer came back-but as I said-with a smile we can get through anything! As a child, I did not know how amazing she was yet I was always trying to walk in her shoes…I am still trying! I HAVE THE WORLD’S BEST MOM (and friend!!)-I know I do!

  511. Erika Gillespie says:

I have the best relationship with my mom! We are like best friends! She listens to me and I listen to her. This year she is going to be 80 years old. She deserves to be pampered and I would love for her to win this bag!

  512. Melody says:

My mom is an inspiration to me because she is the most selfless person I know. She raised her siblings as her own children when she only lived in a small shack as a girl. Then she came to America and brought up my brother and me against all odds and with everyone looking down on her for being Chinese and a janitor in our small town. She now is the best grandmother and through her actions so long ago we are all in a much happier place now. My children are fortunate not to know the kind of hardships faced by her all of her life. She tells me they are the joy of her life and the reason she keeps going when things are tough. She deserves the world or whatever we can manage to give to her. I love my Mom dearly.

  513. Angela Zinsli says:

My Mother is my best friend. When I was growing up – we weren’t always close through my teenage years but she never gave up on me. Our relationship grew as I became more independent. She has always put us children first – making sure that we had what we needed before thinking of herself. She has supported and been a shoulder to cry on when I had a cancer scare & surgery, through the birth of my beautiful three children – always through the good and bad. She has inspired me to strive to be a wonderful, loving and giving Mom like her. Love you Mom!

  514. Ana de los Reyes says:

My mom is so deserving of this gift. She is loved not only by her three daughters, six grand-children and one great-grand daughter, but also by all of her customers. She is a nail technician at a beauty parlor. My mom recently widowed after caring for my dad who had alzheimer. She says she will continue to work and has no plans for retiring. I only wish I had half the energy this lady has. She loves us unconditionally and lives life to the fullest at the grand age of 81.

  515. Melanie Link says:

My Mom spent most of her adult life caring for my Dad who had MS (he died in Feb. of this year) and also their 6 children. She always put other’s need ahead of her own, she is a wonderful mother.

  516. Melissa S. says:

My mom has shown me that the most important thing in life is family and those you love. She taught me that no matter how bad things get, you work through it–you don’t get a divorce, you don’t stop talking to someone–you stick by them because they’re your family. The past few years have been very hard for her in this regard because my father has been having heart problems and surgeries, and then got a cancerous tumor (one that is rare so no doctors had ever treated it) that has required many surgeries also. To add to it, my parents had to move farther away from my sister and I to a state where they don’t know anyone and is too far for me to visit often. My sister then moved to the other side of the country after dropping out of college so my mom can’t see her more than once a year–for awhile, she stopped talking to us at all. To top it off, my sister then got pregnant (she was in a very bad situation so this was very difficult, esp. since my mom couldn’t see her). My mom now has a wonderful grand daughter, but since my sister is so far, she’s not able to see the baby. Not a fun few years at all! But through it all, my mom has stuck by my dad, helped my sister, and been there for me. Despite the bad situation my sister is in, my mom has shown her new granddaughter lots of love and spoils her as much as she can from far away. I recently got married, and she’s welcomed my husband and made him a part of the family as well. Over the years, I’ve dealt with severe clinical depression and was in and out of hospitals all through high school, and even dropped out of school for a bit. But, my mom was still there for me and with her help, I got on track and even managed to graduate on time, ranking 174 out of almost 400 students in my class, and went to college. It wouldn’t have been possible without her pushing me. There’s so much more I could say, but it would take up pages! My mom loves Vera Bradley and she would love the Mandy–it would be a well deserved reward for all she’s done over the years, and all she’s endured while still showing me what marriage and family is all about, in good times and bad.

    • Melissa S. says:

I couldn’t resist adding more, my mom REALLY deserves this! She’s always been wonderful to our friends and neighbors as well, going out of her way to help them and do nice things for them. Even when someone is horrible to her–when the rest of us would tell them off–she just gives them another chance and lets it go. And it’s not just people! She’s kinds to animals as well. Our dogs have always been members of the family–she taught us to treat all creatures with kindness and to take care of them as well. My kitties even call her “Gammy” and get presents at the holidays (our dogs always had stockings and gifts from Santa, too.) She taught me the importance of education and responsibility–everything from making sure your house is clean to paying your bills on time and sticking to your promises. She’s always kind to everyone and tries to do what is fair and right. Vera Bradley is something we both have in common–we both go out when the new styles come out and then call each other to see which we like. She’s even coming to visit soon so we can go to the outlet store–we’ve never been, and she’s never had the chance to go to a Signature store either. The Mandy bag would make her so happy and feel so special!!!

  517. Amber says:

This bag is beautiful! My mother would love to own this because she has so much stuff that she has to take to work, it would be a nice gift! She loves the water color pattern she said it reminds her of things from her childhood! πŸ™‚

  518. Kathy says:

I would love to share a little bit about my Mom. My Mom is 82 years young and has been through plenty, and she is still a trooper! She has had 2 open heart surgery’s and a hip replacement. And through it all she was always the one to comfort myself and my 3 sisters. Growing up I can’t remember Mom buying anything that wasn’t absolutely necessary. I guess with raising 4 daughters, there wasn’t much left for something nice for her. And to this day she is still very careful about buying things that aren’t absolutely necessary. She loves Vera, and I know she would love a new Mandy.

  519. goaltalk says:

I remember my mother’s prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life. ~Abraham Lincoln

Like Abraham Lincoln, I CHERISH the PRAYERS my Mom prayed over me as a child and even today! I’m not sure where I would be without a STRONG, LOVING and ever BELIEVING mother! God truly has blessed us with mothers who go above and beyond! I will succeed & thrive in this world because of what she has taught me!

  520. Elaine says:

My mom was always there for us, and for all of our friends over the years. She even quit her job when I had my first daughter and moved from Pennsylvania to North Carolina, to help us take care of her (unfortunately, we both had to work!). She continued to live with us for the next 6 years and it was an amazing time in my life, as well as my childrens lives. I will forever try to be the wonderful mom to my daughters that she was to us. Love you Mom.

  521. Corinne says:

This lovely handbag is a perfect gift for my mom…its name evokes the refrain from the song, which describes her care and love for me through the years so very well:
Well you came and you gave without taking…well you kissed me and stopped me from shaking. I need you today, oh Mandy (Mom).

  522. Vickie H says:

My dear mother just passed away – we will miss he so much. My Vera Bradley bags were such an asset as I traveled to be at her bedside and as we planned her arrangements. Maybe I owe myself a treat to serve as a Memory of my mom!

  523. Judy says:

I have the best mom in the world! She (along with my dad) raised 4 daughters to be responsible adults. She always gave of herself and never asked for anything in return.

  524. Elizabeth says:

I love my mom, she is there for me at all times and always puts me and my sister before her. love you πŸ™‚

  525. Cathy K. says:

My Mom raised my sister and I by herself after our father passed away at a very young age. She worked very hard and instilled a sense of worth and value in both of us. We know that we don’t need a man to take care of ourselves, that we are strong, capable women who can do anything we set our minds to and that all comes from her.

  526. Breanna Glavey says:

One year ago my mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Through out her journey with this disease, she showed me that a positive attitude can conquer anything. She is such an inspiration to other breast cancer patients and is helping them stay strong and positive. She still came and supported my brother and me the whole time even though some days I’m sure she just wanted to stay home. WE LOVE YOU MOM!!

  527. Katelynn C says:

I love my mom. I know I never tell her enough and doubt I will ever be able to say it enough. She has always been there for me. I have recently turned 21. Looking back she has always been the one constant in my life. I was diagnosed with a blood disease several years ago. She took me for every transfussion and stayed every night at the hospital that I had to. I do not know what i would do without her. I am so thankful for her and everything she has done and continues to do for me.

  528. Danielle Grijalva says:

My mom is the strongest woman I know. In 2004 my mom was diagnosed with skin cancer. Not just your typical skin cancer, this was aggressive. As a result my mom was told that she would lose part of her cheek and nose. Just weeks before her surgery they told her it had spread and she would also lose her eye. My mom was so brave and handled the news quite well. During this time I had also given birth to my youngest child and she postponed her surgery so she would be able to at least spend some days being able to see him. After my her surgery she was so strong for myself and my sisters. She went through aggressive radiation therapy and countless Dr appts to get a prosthesis so she would be confident to be out in the real world. My mom has been through so much but has continued on with life just like it was before her diagnosis despite not being 100% complete. She is an inspiration to those in the community and those stricken by this cancer. Nevertheless she is my mom, my rock, inspiration, and best friend.

  529. Jennifer says:

I love my Mom so much. She gave up and continues to gives up so much of herself to take care of me. If I could even be half the mom that she is…wow! She’s amazing.

  530. My Mom would have loved Vera bags as much as I do. She passed away in 1998. She always done everything she could for her 7 children, with me being the youngest. I was devastated when she passed away even though she was very sick. I miss her everyday ……..

  531. Amy O'Connor says:

    Love this for Mother’s Day!

  532. Kelly Rice says:

My mom is an amazing woman, who touches the spirit and soul of ALL people she meets. Her faith is admirable; her smile is contagious; her positive outlook is inspiring; her strength is enormous. She has always possessed these qualities, even through the worst of life’s curve balls. Nearly three years ago, she became a widow at the age of just 51, when my dad passed away. She had taken care of him and loved him deeply for all 32 years of their married life. She mourned and grieved his loss by relying on her faith, and inspired many people by that unwaivering faith.

Before and since my dad’s passing, Mom has been the primary caretaker of my grandmother who has had numerous health struggles. She visits her and oversees her care at the nursing home every single day after she gets off of work, always putting Grandma’s needs above her own.

Most recently, just two days before her 54th birthday, on March 15, Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. She begins chemotherapy on May 5, just three days before Mother’s Day. I have no doubt that she will triumph through this with a smile on her face and a positive outlook through it all. She is like a rainbow after a storm; she is a bowl full of sunshine on a cloudy day. She is a survivor. She is my hero.

  533. Terri Pettie says:

My mom is so amazing to me! She taught me to celebrate life & to appreciate the “little things in life”~I am the youngest of 5 children…she has a place in her heart for all of us! My mom & I sing together, laugh together, walk together….at 83 she still has a zest for life! Every season, she brings joy to my life~Mom will help me plant my garden, and we will sit in the sun this summer…watching my garden grow & recall the days of long ago~Vera Bradley….once again, introduces a “bright & gorgeous” pattern to “light up our lives”!!! xo Thank you! Terri

  534. Kristin Wengert says:

My mom is marvelous because she does her absolute best to help take care of me when I am sick. I am 21 and have ulcerative colitis and rheumatoid arthritis and my mom takes me to every infusion treatment, every doctor appointment, and every surgery. She takes such wonderful care of me, and continues to have such a positive attitude throughout! Not to mention she works around 50+hours a week as a pre-k director and teacher with 83 students and 32 years of experience. So, my mom definitely deserves some bright color from Vera for all that she does for me, my family, and our whole community! I love her so much! πŸ™‚

  535. lisa mcfarland says:

would love to win this bag – the Mandy looks like the perfect size for any mom

  536. Dani M. says:

I talk to my mom on the phone every day. My husband is in the military and we never live close to home. Hearing her voice is a direct connection to home. She gives me encouragement when I need it…which can be often in the midst of a move…something which we are going through right now.

  537. Jenny McGuire says:

Would love, love this for Mother’s Day! hint..hint.

  538. Amanda L. says:

My mother would love this beautiful floral bag. She has been the sweetest and most supportive mom I know. Thanks for the chance.

  539. ashley says:

My mom is not only my mom but my best friend. We have always been very close. She is actually very sick in the hospital right now and she deserves a treat! I would do anything for her to see her smile! πŸ™‚ I love her so.

  540. DebbieD says:

My mom is a wonderful woman… She is married to my dad for almost 52 years and my dad broke his hip in October. My mom wouldn’t leave my dad
at the hospital and/or the rehab facility where my dad was getting physical therapy sessions. She stayed with him the entire time and came home when he did. She and my dad is inseparable and she is taking a good care of him and keeping the family together. My mom is a wonderful woman!

  541. Raquel says:

My mom deserves this purse because she is an amazing woman. My dad passed away when i was 2 1/2 so mym mom has played the mom and dad role all my life. I am now 27 and she has always been there for me no matter what She is not only my mother, she is my best friend. Winning this tote for her would be a small thanks to the million things she has done for me.

  542. Del Marie C. says:

This would make the perfect gift for my mom!

  543. Amy says:

My mom has been there for me my whole life – sacrificing to make things better for me and my siblings, putting our needs first, and now being a loving grandmother to my daughter. No one could ask for a better mom!! πŸ™‚

  544. Pam says:

My mom gave me a thousand memories I will cherish forever along with unconditional love. I think I’ll give her “Mandy”!

  545. Allison Englert says:

My mom could totally use a new vera:)
    She is the best!

  546. Becky Hamlett says:

She is such an inspiration in my life! My Mom took care of my infant daughter after I gave birth to her because the doctors didn’t think I was going to live. We had decided, before Olivia was born, to name her after my Mom….and now it is the perfect name after a beautiful lady.

  547. Karen Lynch says:

What a great gift for the special lady in our lives.

  548. Jodi Rector says:

There isn’t one specific thing that I can say about my Mom to show how special she is, she just is. She’s my Mom and she loves unconditionally, like all Mom’s should. She never receives the recognition she deserves, like most Mom’s don’t. She is always there for others, and herself last, like most Moms are. She believes in me, encourages me, listens to me, guides me and cherishes me. She is in many ways just like most other moms and then in many ways, not at all like anyone I have ever known before; she’s so much more. To all the moms out there who have centered their lives around their children, HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY, and especially to my Mom, who has centered her life around mine. I love you, Mom! Please pick my Mom for the Mandy!

  549. Kelly says:

I’d love to share about my mother. She is always putting her family before herself. She has always been the one to make sure me, my sisters, and even my dad had what we needed before she would ever get or do anything for herself. My little sister tends to need extra help and my mother has given up a lot to help her and to make sure she has a life like every other child her age. She sits long hours with my sister helping her understand homework, every day little tasks that we all could take for granted and above all, she has helped her even when the doctors said to accept difficulties. My mom never gives up on any of us girls. She always makes sure we’re all doing alright and to make sure we don’t need anything. She is deserving of this and would be totally surprised!

  550. Amy Maynard says:

My Mom is the most unselfish woman I know. She has been more of a support system to me than she realizes. Her and Daddy are still married and they had my sister and I . When she was 30, she had a full hysterectomy and went into menopause. Last year, I had to have a full hysterectomy and at 34, am in full blown menopause. She was the only person that understood what I was going through. Although I don’t have children, this was a major life changing experience for me. All of my friends have children and don’t understand. Mom has been there 100% of the way for me. Now, Mom is going through some health issues that I have been through before and I hope I can now return the favor, empathizing with her and helping her 100% of the way. I love my Mom more than life itself! This is just one of the many things my Mom has done for me over the years!

  551. JEM says:

I love the Mandy as with all Vera’s. I buy my daughter her Vera’s and my son’s girl friend her Vera’s. I also buy myself all my Vera’s plus all the accessories. I love my Vera’s.

  552. Tracy says:

My mom would love this bag!

  553. Marybeth says:

My mom definitely deserves this bag she is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. She ALWAYS puts others before herself no matter what. Here are just a few out of the many things she has done. One of my my teammates (who we weren’t really close with) house burned down, my mom with out even blinking an eye went to the bank and gave them about $300 to buy necessities to keep them going for a couple days. My mom also owns a dog boarding kennel and one of the people at my high school got into a serious injury and was paralyzed. The family had to take him to a hospital in another state and was paying huge bills for that plus the cost of staying in a hotel every night to be near him, she generously offered to have their dogs stay at our kennel for free for as long as they needed; and they did so my mom had lost a bit of money as a result but she could have cared less because she was more concerned about them. One last example is that my neighbor had fallen out of a tree stand and was seriously injured, they have 4 kids at home and my mom does everything she can for them. She watches the kids whenever possible because the father can’t even hold his children because of his back injury and can barely get around. Over the winter she plowed the driveway everyday for them and did other small gestures to help get them through every day. As you can see my mom has done some extremely nice things, please consider her for this bag, she would love it!

    I love you mom<3

  554. Melanie Lowry says:

    My mom would love this!

  555. Kathy Meade says:

Love this bag! Nothing says Mother’s Day like something beautiful for mom.

  556. Joanne A. Richards says:

If my mother was still here I would love to give her a Vera Bradley for Mothers Day but she is not. Life goes on. Now I have a five month old granddaughter to spoil. I have already purchased for her the Caitlyn and Little Princess purses. Now it’s time for Nana to have a Vera Bradley for Mother’s Day!

  557. Sarah Lowry says:

What a pretty bag! Thanks for the give-a-way!

  558. Lindsay N says:

My mom would love this bag! On our last trip looking at our Vera Bradley store, we both commented how beautiful the Watercolor print was. This would be great for her on the go teacher stuff, and extra things when the grandkids are in tow!

  559. Candice Mozingo says:

My mother is the best. When I was 21 I was in an awful car accident that required many surgeries and lots of doctor’s visits. She was always there with me. Then at age 31, after I married and had 2 children I was in another car accident. That one finished me off. I have a disease called Reflex Sympathectic Dystrophy. It is an awful disease. I am disabled. My husband works hard to support our family, but things have been tough. My mother lives next door to us and she helps me out so much. She takes my children to school. She cooks for us when I don’t feel well. She does anything we need her to do. All while working and taking care of my sister who was hurt due to a botched epidural during labor and my niece. My mother does more than any other mother I know. She is selfless and never has enough money to buy herself anything. I would love to give her “Mandy” in Twirly Bird Pink, as I gave her a wallet in that print for her birthday in January. Please consider my mother for this gift!!!

  560. Missy says:

My mom is the best mom I could ask for! She is so special to me she is moving out to Colorado from Maryland for the month of May to help me finish up my wedding planning! Love you mom!

  561. Susan Marr says:

My Mom is my best friend. She has always been there for me whenever I needed her. She loves VB just as mch as I do and Mandy would be a wonderful way to say I love you Mom on Mothers Day!

  562. Pamela S says:

Love, Love, Love that purse would be perfect for my mom!

  563. i love the mandy, and have a combined 25 or more bags and vb accessories would love to add this mandy to our ever growing vb collection..thankyou so much for allowing us to be able to win a bag…

  564. Meg says:

My mom is amazing. For one thing, without her, I wouldn’t be here! Her and my father had me at a very young age, and so it was tough dealing with me, graduating high school, and more. My mom has volunteered so much in the last 15 years. She has volunteered in both my sister’s classrooms and my classrooms while growing up. Also, she has spent many, many countless hours volunteering for De Pere Rapides Youth Soccer and FC Green Bay by being on the board for both clubs and being the head of multiple committees. She has always been there for my sister and I, and she deserves this bag πŸ™‚

  565. Amy says:

My mom has always sacrified new things to buy her kids new things. She always took hand me downs or not so nice things so we could have the nice things. This would be a great NEW NICE something for her for a change! Perfect colors for spring/summer too!

  566. Amie says:

Such an adorable print and the perfect size bag for my mother!! She doesn’t own anything Vera. She rarely spoils herself but she is such a hard working mom for her four children! She deserves a great mothers day gift…I was really considering getting her a vera bag, maybe I’ll win one instead! πŸ™‚

  567. Karen Snyder says:

my mom is my best friend, and I would love to be able to give this bag to her to start her collection.

  568. Amy Kelly says:

My mom is the best! She retired last year after 30 years of teaching middle-schoolers. She retired a little bit early bc she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She finally finished up the last of her treatments a few weeks ago & immediately went to take care of her elderly parents who are now requiring constant care. To top things off a small tornado hit her house last month! Luckily, no one was home at the time, but there was damage. She has had to go through so much over the past year & I would love for her to have something special to brighten her day:)

  569. Elise says:

My Mom does not treat herself often. The only Veras my Mom owns are the ones we bought her–so we’d love to add to her collection with a Mandy!

  570. Amethyst says:

I love this shape, size, and style! I am sure Mom would love it too!!! Keep up the great work V.B.

  571. Sunda Cramer says:

My mother is the most amazing people I have ever met. She has an incurable disease (Epidermalysis Bullosa) that leaves her skin raw and with open wounds. She has had this since birth, but you would never belive it. She was never a mother to sit and dwell on her health issues. She was a mother who drove us everywhere, sang with us, and laughed with us. I am now a nother and those things I took for granted. She is one of the most amazing grandmother’s anyone could ask for. Even though she is older and having a harding time with her disease she still is there everyday to get my kids from the bus stop or pick them up from school. My uncle was just diagnosed with Cancer and my mother said to me she needs to go to Texas and take care of him. Instead of me having to worry about who is going to be there for my kids after school she took care of all of that. Another way she ALWAYS puts others before herself. My mother truly is my hero and best friend. Any daughter or son should be so lucky to have a mother or someone in there life just like my mom. She is a gift from God.

  572. Kerry Marie says:

My Mom is my hero. My Mom has raised 4 kids. She survived a failed marriage, became a single mother & stopped at nothing to support my older brother & sister. Later she & my father had me & my twin brother. She never complained about having twins, though I’m sure we were double trouble. She has never stopped supporting any of her children, emotionally or, in tough times, financially. My Mom now has 3 grandchildren & 2 step grandchildren. She loves all of them unconditionally. All the grand kids live very far away, but Mom or “Grammy” goes out of her way to make trips to visit them as often as she can, not an easy task since she still works full time. Mom is the head of the Special Ed department at a middle school. She fights for the rights of her special ed & special needs students. Family is always a priority with Mom. Every year she stresses & struggles to organize & perfectly execute our Family Picnic, an extended family reunion. Even though her youngest children have been out of scouting for over a decade Mom is still actively working with the Girl Scouts, running monthly leader meetings & organizing events for local troops. She is active in our church too. Mom helped start the Family Mass & is even a Eucharistic Minister. She lost her mother a few years ago & I know the pain still lingers, especially on every Mother’s Day. Mom loves Vera Bradley & she has even gotten me & my friends hooked! I am planning on giving her a new bag for Mother’s Day. We would both be honored if she was chosen to receive the Mandy bag.

    I love you Mom!

  573. Libby says:

What a lovely bag. Wish my Mom were still here so I could give her one on Mothers Days. Would love to win this one for myself as well.

  574. Cathy Unger says:

What a great bag!! My mom would love it!

  575. Sarah Carper says:

This is definitely an awesome present for an awesome mom πŸ™‚

  576. Amanda says:

I would love to win it!

  577. Sara Vaal says:

My mom is one of the strongest people I know. She is a real go-getter and doesn’t let much get her down! A year ago this past January she lost her job after 34 years! She was heartbroken but didn’t waste time finding another job knowing she had to help provide for her family. Not only did she find another job, but she went back to school at age 50 to become a CNA a few months later! Talk about bravery! Shortly after she took another side job with her CNA license and then her mom was a car accident. For the next several months, she went back and forth from the hospital and nursing home visiting her mom (my grandma) all the while working two jobs and taking care of her family as well! This past January I had a baby and suffered from the baby blues. She was always there when I needed help whether is was laundry or to take the baby so I could shower. At this time, she is helping with her father-in-law who is terminal and on hospice care by staying with him at home when needed. She truly is amazing and I would love to win this purse for her to show her how much she is loved and appreciated!!

  578. Jennifer says:

My mother has been such a big help to me. She came and took care of me after I had each of my daughters. I always have bleeding that is difficult to stop after labor and it takes me a couple of weeks to recover. I have a Betsy, which is very similar to the Mandy, and use it for a diaper bag. It’s a great bag. I’m sure the Mandy is very nice as well.

  579. Charlene says:

My Mom would love this purse, it is just like all the vera’s she has, and she is a wonderful mom and does everything for everyone even at her age of 82 in May. Love Her So Much! Please pick my MOM!! Thanks

  580. Rhiannon H says:

My mom is such an amazing woman! She takes care of her mentally handicap sister, does so much to contribute to the elementary school she works at still always finds time for everyone else. My dad lost his job a few months ago so there isn’t much left over to spend on herself, I would love to win this for her…I know it wouldn’t take away the stress but it would certainly brighten her day πŸ™‚

  581. Pamela B says:

My mom has been there for me through the good times and the bad. We almost lost our daughter to illness in 2008. It’s been a long, hard road to recovery, but she’s getting there. Through it all, my mom was there for me, whatever the need. This would be a wonderful way to say “Thank You” for all that she does.

  582. Amanda K says:

I completely love this bag. Not just because I’m a mandy too! Its the perfect size for my momma who just loves vera bradley. She’s an amazing lady who definately deserves a gift like this. My dad got hurt when I was little and has since been permanently disabled. So momma works 2 jobs to pick up the slack. 18 hours a day takes a lot out of her so I like to get her something amazing for the sacrifice she makes for us.

  583. JEM says:

Buy Vera’s for everyone in my family. Just ordered one yesterday for son’s girl friend and gave one to my daughter for Easter. Always buy mine also plus all accessories. Love the Vera’s.

  584. Lara McKinley says:

Being a mother of 4, I understand that “mother=sacrifice”. So, I’m sure all of us can relate to that. But, I want to say that I have witnessed my mother’s true sacrifice in the past 3 months. My dad has been hospitalized since January 27, due to an infection in his heart and back which led to open-heart surgery. During this time she has only slept in her own bed away from him two nights at our insistance. She has been faithfully by his side through it all. As he continues to recover slowly I try to find ways to cheer my mom up and take her mind off of things whenever I can. Even though she loves the Vera Bradley colors and styles, she hasn’t had the opportunity to own one. It would really be nice to surprise her with a “happy” for Mother’s Day. Ironically the purse shown is her style and colors! I would LOVE to honor her on her special day with “The Mandy”.

  585. Rebecca says:

What could possibly be better ….than a Vera Bradley gift for Mothers Day!?!?

  586. Marilyn Currey says:

My sister and I have always been my mother’s top priority. She became a widow at the age of 39 when my father suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. I was 13, my sister was 12. She always regretted that her parents would not let her go to college but never more so than when she had to raise 2 daughters alone. She always told us that this would never happen to my sister or I. We would be able to take of ourselves no matter what life threw at us. She insisted we go to college and we did. Two of her proudest moments were our college graduations. My mother never told my sister and I we couldn’t do something. She became our role model for an independent and intelligent woman serving not only her family but her
community. When I told her I wanted to start my own business she didn’t say no, didn’t say I was too old and didn’t say I could not do it. She stood by my side and helped me every step of the way. I opened my business on May 1st,2010 and she is still standing at my side.
Mother, thank you for our lives.

  587. Roxanne Abel says:

My Mother was the best mom. While she was taken from us way to early we have a great Stepmother who introduced me to the wonderful world of Vera Brady! So thank you to two wonderful women in my life.

  588. Loran Merlo says:

My mom is my best friend! She raised my sister and myself as a single parent and worked very hard to give us both a wonderful life. My mother recently battled stage four cervical cancer with unbelievable strength and confidence and is now doing great! If I ask my mom for help with anything she is always there for me before I ask. I love you very much mom and aspire every day to be a mom just like you. Happy mother’s day!

  589. Brooke says:

My mom is the only person I want to call on my worst day, and the first person I will call on my best! She has always put me first, using her birthday money to buy me a Vera for Valentine’s day… not herself. I’d love to win this for her, I know she’d use it until there would be no life left in it! She adores Vera, and has been eyeing this style for a while!

  590. Susan Bennigsohn says:

My mom is special because she’s mine πŸ™‚ But she’s also the best mom because growing up she was a mom to anyone who needed her! She fed any kid that came to her table and EVERYONE called her mom! Happy Mother’s Day to the best mom a girl could ask for πŸ™‚

  591. Melissa says:

My mom is the best and always knows when I need cheering up! Don’t know what I would do without her πŸ˜‰

  593. Caitlyn Torda says:

Love the pattern on this bag in particular. I didn’t think I would like in on such a big bag, but it works. Love the size too.

  594. Holly says:

My mom is so wonderful, she even supports my Vera obsession! She accompanied me to the Outlet Sale a couple weeks ago and we shared that experience together. While her collection is small, she’s slowly adding a growing number of Veras. I love my mom!

  595. Carrie says:

my mom, divorced my father when I was 8, 26 yrs ago- she raised my brother and I with help from her brother and sister. She owned her own business for 25+ years, never taking care of her needs, always us kids. When I was little I always said I would build a house in her back yard and take care of her as she did me, well the time has come for us kids to take care of her, it may not be easy but it isvery rewarding to know that she raised me with everything she had and I have made that promise to take care of my children and her know the same! I may not live in my childhood backyard, but she lives down the hall πŸ™‚ I cannot express enough how much she means to my family, we love her very much.

A bright Vera Bradley bag would make her smile and me too- knowing she is grateful!

  596. Sara says:

I would love to give this to my mother-in-law. She is always willing to help no matter how small the request is.

  597. Christi Parker says:

I am 28 yrs old and my mom still does anything and everything for me! She is the best!

My mom is the greatest! Through good and bad, she has always been such an encouragement! I love her dearly! Happy Mother’s Day to my mom and all the other lovely mothers in the world!

  599. marlys bridgeman says:

My mom, Lois, is the sweetest lady I know. She is a great mom. Always there when i needed her , she helped take care of my babies, helped with that unexpected bill that panics me, cooked wonderful meals, listens to me when i am happy, sad, mad, frustrated and always has the right thing to say. Now she needs us (my siblings) to help her. She has some health issues and it breaks my heart and my kids hearts to see her in any kind of pain or crisis. We love her so much! A beautiful watercolor Mandy would brighten her day! She has a strong Christian faith, raised us with that, and appreciates the beautiful things God has created for us, just like the beautiful flowers of the new watercolor pattern.

  600. kate says:

My mom is amazing. she raised me and my brother, which is a job in itself. But she helps me and supports me with everything I do. I can’t express how much I love my mom.

  601. Megan says:

I would love for my mom to win this. My mom is my hero and my inspiration. Five years ago we lost my dad and the strength she shows every day amazes me. The strength she shows everyday to show that life does go on when you’ve lost your spouse amazes me. My mom I also my inspiration because she cares so much about her family and her friends. She always goes above and beyond to make sure that we are all taken care of. I know this purse would for sure brighten my moms day.

  602. Kellie Wilson says:

My Grandmother is like a Mom to me..I wrote a special poem about her:

Patient and kind..full of love so sweet..
memories of eating chocolates.. her fave treat.
She raised me right..better than any other..
I will always cherish my dear Grandmother..
She taught me to be a strong woman to be nice to everyone I meet…..
She helped me learn to ride a bike and bandaged my knee when I fell onto the street.
She held my hand when I had a heartbreak..
there is no problem she couldn’t make..
better, and for that I can never ever repay..
    I will remember every day,
how lucky I am to know and love this special woman! πŸ™‚

  603. Laura Messersmith says:

  607. My mom is my best friend who I love very much! I can always talk with her about everything & she gives me the best advice. I’m a momma to 2 little boys so I need her advice often. She is a wonderful person who would do anything for anyone & has done a lot for me. My Mom & Dad just celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary & I’m very blessed to have them as my parents! I love my mom.
My mom has brain cancer and recently had a tumor removed on April 4th. She begins her 14-day radiation treatment next week. We all know that her prognosis is not good. She has been asking for a few things here and there…one of them being a pretty Vera Bradley bag like my sister and I both have. I would love to surprise her on Mother’s Day with this sweet Mandy πŸ˜€

  610. Carol Prazan says:

  612. Traci Bendele says:

My mom passed away in Junauary but she was the best!!! She always made sure everyone was taken care of. I loved going to visit her before she became ill. Our timewas always spent in the kitchen. Me sitting at her island chopping some sort of veggy and her doing something on the other side. I will always remember those days. Shw was my best friend, we talked about everything. Now that she is gone I still chat with her. I love you MOM!!! Happy Mother’s Day in Heaven!!!!<3

WoW! My wife would love this for her birthday!

  614. Lori says:

My Mother died in 2007 after a four month illness. With a toddler and another baby on the way, I felt so cheated. I needed my Mom. My Mother-in-Law brought me so much comfort. She loves my kids, she sends me little cards in the mail just to say she is thinking of me, and she even shared her top secret recipe for cinnamon twists. The recipe that her mother passed down to her. She sees me as a daughter and not just a daughter-in-law. While nothing can replace my own mother and I still miss her so much, I know that I am not motherless.

  615. Mary says:

    Lovely tote for any MOM!

  616. Mary W. says:

Such a cute purse! Mom would love it!

I got my mom a Mandy bag last year. It’s the perfect bag for a weekend trip when she needs to carry a little more or when she can pack lighter just running errands.

  618. Terry Sapp says:

My mother actually is NOT so wonderful. She hasnt seen my only child since he was 4 mo. old, she thinks only of herself, never others and she is bitter about things that happened over 30 yrs ago (which have nothing to do with me). BUT…..because of her, all of these things have made ME a much better mom. I adore my son, tell him daily I love him a kazillion times (I was NEVER told…ever), and still kiss and hug him daily as well (also never happened) even though he’s almost as tall as I am! I love your bags and love to win one anytime!

  619. megan yoder says:

My sister could really use a Mandy Bag! A wonderful mother and teacher of 5th grade students at St. Jude’s, she has had to take a back seat to her two jobs as mother and teacher to be the caretaker for her husband who has been given very little time left with us, if this last ditch effort at chemo does not work. Theresa Didion is the mother of two little girls, Olivia, 3 and Julia, 1. Just putting this message out into the universe will hopefully bring more prayers and good thoughts to Theresa and David. Currently spending her nights at the hospital, I know a gift from Vera will brighten her spirits as if spends Mother’s Day away from her little girls.

  620. marlys bridgeman says:

I have to add some more about my mom. she is gentle and would never hurt anyone or anything. she grew up on a farm in southern indiana and was a young girl during the depression. she lived with very little, and worked very hard. she was valedectorian of her class, but her father would not let her go to college. she stayed on the farm and worked until she was 28 years old, met my dad, fell in love, married, had an instant step daughter whose mother had died, and became instant wife, mother, and moved to a new area where she knew no one but them. then had 3 kids, was a stay at home mom, always there when we came home from school. she is beautiful on the inside and outside. she deserves so much that i can never give her back except my unconditional love that she has given me and my siblings and her grandkids. she is very special. she loves flowers! would love a watercolor purse in any style. thank you vera bradley for this salute to moms everywhere!

  621. Corrie says:

My mom has made me who I am today. I think of her everyday and am very thankful that my mom is in my life. She loves me, she loves my kids and husband. She is the best mother in the whole world.

  622. Jessica Hughs says:

My mom. Words cannot explain how wonderful she is. I’ll try though. My mom is fantastic. She works from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 every day just for us. I have little bit of an attitude sometimes, and my mom deals with all between cooking, taking care of my two sisters and me, and trying to put in time to go to the store for food and everything. Its weird because I was watching this movie once called The Road. About a son and a dad, trying to find food, and a way to live, in the world, because it ended the way we know it. Him and his dad were walking down the road, and his dad got hit by an arrow, it was a lady trying to kill him. They kept walking and finally got to the beach they went to sleep. His dad never woke up. The arrow wound got infected. He stayed there with his dad until people came, and took him with them. I can’t imagine a world without my mother. I don’t think I could do it. I know I should get her a gift, but I’m only 11, I can’t get anything!

  623. Sarah G. says:

My mom LOVES all things Vera, so I know she would just adore it if I gave her this bag for Mother’s Day. πŸ™‚

  624. Tricia Allen says:

I thought I would leave a comment although I lost my mom last year to lung cancer. I miss her tremendously, because I became a mother in March & would have loved to have her here. I know she is in a better place, but as mother’s day approches, it makes not having her here that much harder. She put on such a brave face during her cancer fight & even though cancer won, she will still always be my hero. I hope I can be that strong with my son & make sure he knows how awesome his grandmama is!

  625. pat davitt says:

    love the color/pattern shown…

  626. Leadonna Kimmel says:

My real mother passed away when I was 4. My dad remarried a wonderful woman that I called Mom from the very beginning. She had already survived breast cancer when my dad married her but she was also suffering from MS. She never let those things get in the way of being a wonderful mom to me. When I had my own round with a stroke and then cancer, she was there with wit and humor to see me through some scary days. The thing that makes this woman so truly special is that she didn’t have to love me, she chose to love me. What an incredible gift!

  627. Laura Killefer says:

My mom is the sweetest lady you will ever meet. She is so strong and a great support to all her know her. Her brother-in-law is trying to recover from brain surgery…she has been there with her sister almost everyday since January. She takes care of her……I love my mom and I now have a daughter of my own. I can only hope I am as good of a mother as she is.

  628. Wendi says:

I love my mom and I love Vera. She loves me and she loves Vera! It is fabulous πŸ™‚

  629. Megan Keller says:

My mom deserves a special gift because she never says, “I told you so.” She knows me well enough to let me grow & learn from my own mistakes.

  630. Diane says:

My mother is a gem. She never asks for anything for herself. When money was tight, she always put the needs of her children first. Even though we are all grown, to this day she still lives by this principle. I would love to honor her with this beautiful Vera bag.

  631. Waytheydance says:

My Mom is my best friend! She is always there for me and cares so deeply for everyone. She’s the best Mom I could ever imagine and she would go out of her way to do anything for my brother and I. My husband is in the Navy & we were stationed 1,000 miles away and my husband was deployed 9 months out of the year for 4 years. My Mom flew to visit, especially after our first child was born about every 3-4 months if she could, in between my visits home. She got me through a very rough 4.5 years! Now, she’s the most amazing Grandma to our boys and the connection they have is priceless. We’re lucky to live very close to my parents now. I also admire the relationship she has with my Dad. They were high school sweethearts and are truly inseparable. They are the so nice and the sweetest people you will ever meet! Mom & I also LOVE Vera Bradley so this would be an amazing gift to her!

  632. Emily says:

I just love my mom πŸ™‚
She always puts my needs and my sisters’ needs before her own. she is so selfless in everything she does. I don’t know what I would do without her. She is always a phone call away if I need her, and my number one fan! Her smile is warm and her laugh is contagious. I would not be the woman I am today without her. Thanks for everything mom. You really are the best πŸ™‚

  633. Amy Kattan says:

My mom is the accessory QUEEN and loves bags, shoes, and jewelry… and she never hesitates to let me in on the fun!

  634. Kasey says:

Ohh..where do I start!! πŸ˜€ My mom is a giver! She would give up everything she has if her children needed something..and has done pretty close to that! She goes without so her kids wouldn’t have to!

My parents have never had time for just the two of them. She married my dad with 3 small children from a previous marriage and now that we are all grown, with their youngest being 23, they are raising their 14 year old grandson and have been since he was a year old!

My mom is amazing and would love this bag!! (thank you for the giveaway!)

  635. Debra Tierman says:

My mother is such a wonder. She gave birth to me many years ago; I was an extremely premature baby and she nursed me to health even though she herself was a very young mother. She is now my very best friend. I love her very much. She would love to receive a “Mandy” purse from Vera Bradley. She knows how much I love your products and she would enjoy carrying one along with me. She is 77 years young! Thank you.

  636. Rebecca Adams says:

I would love to give one of your beautiful bags to my mother for Mother’s Day!

  637. Yanira D. says:

My mom is the best mom in the world. I would argue that my entire life. There isn’t enough things I could do to thank her for everything she has done for my sister and I. She is the most caring person I know. Not to mention she is a hard worker and the heart of our family. My mother has been married to my dad for 21 years now and they are just ready to be together for 21 more years. All the sacrifices she has made for my family and everything she has done to make us so grateful for our lives is certainly more than enough reasons to celebrate her love and support this Mother’s Day. Vera Bradley, I would be more than thrilled to celebrate my mom’s day with this Mandy. She absolutely loves your designs and it would really make her day a memorable one. Please consider my mom, she truly deserves it! πŸ™‚

  638. Dara says:

The qualities that my mother possess truly define the word “Mom.” A mom is someone who loves without limits, provides without boundaries and accepts without judgments. My mom is all these things and shows it everyday. I don’t have a specific story to pinpoint or a defining time in our lives that proves this, she just simply shows it everyday. She lives life to the fullest and provides for her friends and family a loving smile and support whenever they need it. A stunning Vera Bradley bag belongs on a beautiful woman with a gorgeous smile and a heart of gold- my mom!

  639. Michelle says:

My mom is my best friend because she is there with a smile when things are going well and there with a hug and a listening ear when things AREN’T going so well. She has always been my biggest supporter, but at the same time she has always been honest with me, even when it hasn’t been easy.

She knows how to be in my life without overpowering it – and because of that, she has let me be me.

Now I have my own family and when I look at my mother’s granddaughter, I realize all she has done and sacrificed for my dreams, and I love her even more.

She just does not stop! My mom also does so great with my daughter! She just does so much for our family and makes it a very loving family! She really loves the Vera Bradley purses! We got her one last year for mother’s day and she just loves it! She would be so excited to get a new vera bradley purse! 644. Ryan says:

Within two years, my mom lost my brother her son, her dad and her mom! Lost her job and got into a car accident which she just had to
Have shoulder surgery because of. Instead of
Sulking and feeling sorry for herself she has still managed to
Be there for all of us when we are going through something! She is always helping us out and always puts herself and her needs on the back burner! She had shown true strength, when others would just fall apart! I can’t remember the last time she did something nice for herself… My mom is a great mom and deserves to be spoiled πŸ™‚

  645. Michelle says:

There are not enough words to describe the depth of my mothers love. She supports us with encouraging words and guides us with a swift hand. She works hard and has had many trials in her own life. Because her mother left when she was young, she promised she would always be there for us and she has kept that promise every day of our lives. My sister and I are obsessed with Vera Bradley purses and accessories, and I would love for my mom to be able to join our VB club :-).

  650. Daryl C says:

My mom is awesome. She would love one of these bags.

  651. Heather H. says:

Reading many of the comments posted here makes me realize that to each invididual here, Mother is a word that has come to mean unconditional love and support. Most have expressed all the thoughts and feelings I have for my own mother. She is one of a kind. A truly giving and selfless servant. She has shared my sorrows and given me her shoulder upon which to cry. She has shared my triumphs and victories and been there with a hearty hug and cheer. She was there when my daughter passed away and she cradled me like a child as she wiped away my tears.
She will always be the most special woman in the world to me for who she is and what she means to me. My fondest hope is to be even half the woman she is with her patience, kindness and joy and the way that she makes everyone feel so special, loved and adored. I love you Mom!! ❀

This is a great bag and it would make a wonderful gift for mother’s day!

  654. Amanda says:

Being that my name is Amanda, all my childhood I had the nickname, Mandy. As I grew up my family started to use that name less and less with the exception of one person, my Grandma….who till this day calls me Mandy.

Ever since I was a little girl, my Grandma has been one of my best friends. I stayed with her while my parents were at work and we always had the best time. My Grandma taught me how to sew and it remains something special that we share, she loves to see things that I’ve made or hear about my current projects. Now that I’m ‘all grown up’ I still try to spend a lot of time with her – she’s not as mobile as she used to be and she’s taking care of my Grandfather who’s quite ill…but we still find ways to have a good time!

I would LOVE to be able to really spoil my Grandma this Mothers Day with a Mandy bag . PLEASE pick me !! πŸ™‚

  655. Heather Kaufman says:

EAch holiday I buy a bit of Vera for her. She loves it. But the reason I am entering this contest is this……She is my personal cheerleader in life and I love her. xoxo

My mom is currently going through a rough time right now, as I’m about to graduate from college. She is under the impression that she will now see me less and less, which for right now, just isn’t true. I am an only child and we are very close and unfortunately I’m not able to be with her on Mother’s Day this year. A gift from Vera always cheers her up!

  663. Alicia Pucci says:

I would buy my Mom a Vera Bradley every Mother’s Day… she would have loved that one. Now that she is in heaven, I buy myself one in her honor.

  664. Christy Medina says:

I just got a Mandy for myself 3 weeks ago and when i went to my Moms on Easter she noticed (and LOVED) it right away. I knew instantly what i’d be getting her for Christmas, but to send one for mothers day is a great idea, that for what ever reason didn’t cross my mind lol. Would love to win this for her!

  665. Christine says:

I’d been trying for years to get my mother to love Vera, and I’ve recently succeeded, so this would be a wonderful addition to her still very small collection! She’s a fantastic lady, and has recently been spending so much time taking care of my broken-legged father, that I know she’d appreciate it!

    • Christy says:

And if we’re supposed to be sharing sentiments or reasons why Mom deserves this and i have to pick just one i’d say because a few years ago when i had an asthma attack and went into respiratory failure and was in a coma on life support it was my Mom who slept on a tiny love seat outside the I C U for days until they were sure i wasn’t going to die. Then when she was sure of that she went to be with my two small children and help take care of them. Only a mother!

  666. Laurie says:

My mom and I love Vera! We buy each other Vera gifts often. I am so thankful for her!

  667. Kendra says:

My Mom is such a very special person. She sets a good, godly example for all of us and she is there for me if I need to talk. She has always admired the Vera Bradley purses in Traditions but she has never been able to get one because she always puts the needs of our family first. I would absolutely LOVE to win this for my Mom! She definitely deserves this beautiful gift! ❀

  668. margaret says:

I like the style of the bag…

  669. Dianne K says:

My mom is absolutely wonderful, because she actually has one of the original Vera Bradley bags, when they were a golf bag, sort of.

  670. margaret says:

I like the style of the bag and the pattern…

  671. Jenna Kahl says:

My Mom loves Vera and has been battling eye cancer for the past few years…she just had her last (surgery…we hope) and are waiting to see if she still has vision….please pick my Mom for a little Vera sunshine in her life.

  672. MELISSA LUCAS says:

My Mother is always there for us in times of need. My husband owns a construction business and I’m a part time CT tech. We have three girls from 2 months to 10 yrs. and to avoid paying $800-$900 a month in child care my Mother comes straight from work to watch the kids so I can work (nights that is) until my husband gets home. This most of the time turns into 12/14 hr. days for my Mom. My Mom is in her early 60’s and also is turning her health around by losing weight and becoming more health wise. She told me soon after the birth of our 3rd daughter that she needs to be around for a long time to take care of all of her girls. She has lost 22lbs. so far and would like to lose another 25lb. She in turn is inspiring me to also take better care of myself which I don’t always do. No matter how many times I call her to cry on her shoulder due to money problems or my oldest not wanting to do homework she is always there to calm my nerves and tell me one day soon everything will turn out and I’ll look back at this time of my life and realize my family and I can make it through anything.

  673. KrisR says:

What I wouldn’t give to be able to give this to my mom? She is amazing, wonderful, cares about others before taking care of herself…the list is endless! My mom lost her battle to cancer 10 years ago. She would have loved this bag but would have given it to someone else had she won (because that’s what she did!) So, that’s what I would do if I won…I would give it to someone whom I know would appreciate it as much as my mom would have! Miss you mom!!

  674. Kristin Corbin says:

My mom would LOVE this and she definitely deserves it and much more! She’s always been there for my sister and me through thick and thin and has been so helpful throughout my difficult pregnancy, the birth, and now has been a stupendous occasional babysitter. I love her to pieces and a brand new purse for her would be yet another great way for me to show her how much she’s appreciated =)

  675. Eos Mom says:

I have a great mom and she loves Vera Bradley (as do I, like mother, like daughter)! I would love to win this, thanks!

  676. Emma S., age 2 says:

“My mommy is wonderful because she reads the Bible to me and prays for me”.

  677. Brenda says:

My mom has always put her children first. She was always at home cooking us good meals and a snack waiting when we got off the bus after school. She sacrificed to give us the things we needed. Mom always made sure that we knew we were loved. To this day she gives her time, love and energy to her three kids and four grandchildren. Mom has given us the precious gifts of love, understanding and security. I hope you will let me give her this gift by choosing her. My words cannot convey how much I love her mom or what she means to me.

  678. cheryl c. says:

This would make a great gift for my wonderful mother-in-law!

  679. Jennifer G says:

My mom is my best friend, and the best Nana to my son. I have always appreciated her, but since I have become a mother, my relationship with her has taken on a whole new meaning. I am so blessed to have such a fun, loving woman in my life that I call Mom:)

  680. Kim D says:

This is a beautiful bag and would make a great gift!!

  681. Heather V. says:

My mom would absolutely LOVE this! She helps me so much in taking care of my 8 month old daughter. She works extremely hard at her job and then picks up DD when I’m at work. She takes care of 6 people in our house and animals. Mom would love to use this on her vacation in September to Vegas. Thank you!!!

  682. Melanie says:

My mom would go the ends of the earth to do something for anyone that asked! When my daughter had cancer when she was 10, I had no choice but to be gone with her for a very large percent of my time. I had an 8 year old son also, and my mom gave of herself for YEARS to help take care of my son. She would drive 3 hours to spend a week, 2 weeks, a month…however long she needed to…at the drop of a hat if I had to leave to take my daughter for treatment, blood transfusion, ER visits in the middle of the night, an emergency surgery, unexpected doctor or clinic visit, a hospital admission….

Even though I carried a huge amount of guilt for always having to leave my son, I never once had to worry whether he was well taken care of, did his school work, was always very well fed, and most importantly..loved just as I loved him. He always had a bedtime story and a tuck into bed with an “I love you Shane” from his grandma.

My mom would LOVE this bag and really needs one as she recently made the gut-wrenching decision to put my 93 year old step-dad (the only father I’ve ever know) in the nursing home. She visits him every day and needs a nice bag to carry things back and forth in that he wants or needs.

I appreciate the opportunity to win this bag for my mom!

  683. Darlene Wilson says:

She worked in a hot factory so I could have food and clothes.
She took care of me when I was sick.
She would doctor my wounds when I got hurt.
She would do without so I could have.
She loved me even when I was sassy, mean and hateful, unloveable.
She taught me about the love of God.
She had a sad heart too, when mine was broken.
She instilled in me all the above.
Taught me to love and be patient.
She knew I would need these things when I had a family of my own.
I hope I have passed these on to my own kids.
I would not change mother’s for anything in this world.
I love her. Happy Mother’s Day Mama.

  684. Kristi Smith says:

My Mom is a very special lady, she is a first grade teacher and an 8 year breast cancer survivor. She is always putting others first and goes above and beyond to teach her kids. Even when she was going through treatment she was there for the kiddos. She call them her angels because they were so good and understanding during such a difficult time. She’s a wonderful Mother and Grandmother and we all love her very much!

  685. ramla mogul says:

My mom is wonderful because she is always there for me.

  688. Hannah Sage says:

My mom would absolutely love this bag and I know that the colors would be her favorite!! I would love to be able to give this to my mom this year for Mother’s Day since its my last Mother’s Day with her before I go to college.

  689. Judy says:

My mom loves the Betsy so I know she will love the Mandy

  690. Edison says:

This would be grate for my mom. She is always having to carry all my stuff. My dance shoes and my gutiar music. Her other purse is falling a part. She would love this.

I love this pattern & the bag! Perfect for my Mother! πŸ™‚

  692. Becky says:

    Great Mother’s Day Gift!!

  694. Sabrina Radke says:

My mother could really use a cool bag! Thanks for the opportunity!
    sradke1024 at gmail dot com

  695. Karen says:

My mother believed in having only the essentials. She would have relented as this bag IS essential(esp in Watercolor). I have 2 aunts who were as mothers to me, either of whom would adore this.
PS. I found this site just before the warehouse sale. The site gave valuable shopping info and you have 2 more devotees!

  696. Brandy says:

My mom is my hero on some many levels. She is my heart and I would love to give her a Vera Bradley bag. ALL Moms are deserving of a VERA bag..Good Luck to all mom’s and Happy Mother’s Day!!

  697. Keli Kosmiski says:

My mom has been a wonderful mom through the years. Homemaker, mother, and caregiver to 3 daughters. 10 years ago, her world crashed when she lost my father and her husband of almost 30 years. Since then, she’s had to be very strong and take upon many things herself. Taking care of her well kept house and landscaping outside has kept her so busy that she rarely takes time to do things for herself or even splurge on herself. Having a beautiful new Vera bag would make my mom smile. I love to see her smile and laugh.

  698. Rena says:

I love my mom! And I would love to give her something as beautiful as this bag. My mom is always giving me and my sisters everything we need and she never gets anything for herself. She is my role model and my teacher (literally!(=). She loves vera bradley bags but has never bought one for herself. It would be great to be able to surprise her with one.

  699. Gwen Smith says:

I have the most amazing mom ever. Somehow, when she was 48 years old she decided that I would make the best edition to the family. I was adopted at the age of 14 and I am so grateful and happy to have such a loving family and mom!! I try to give back as much as I possibly can. Now as we’re planning my wedding in year, she’s the one giving so much to make it a Vera Bradley wedding for me. I would love to give back something special. I have had the best mom for 13 years, but it feels like she’s always been there from the start.

  700. Trista says:

My mom dedicated her life to helping women learn how to have babies drug free and pain free. A mom helping other moms seems like a pretty great thing.

  701. Mandy says:

As a Mandy who has been pondering what do to for Mothers Day this year, your email literally jumped from the screen at me. My mom is a transplant patient, a diabetic and suffers from macular degeneration. Through these medical struggles for the last 15 years, she has been the family foundation for my brothers and me. My mom has donned the father figure hat for nearly 20 years as well. Our mom is a blessing and I would be proud to be a fraction of the mother she has been for us. Thank you, Ma. Thank you for your constant smile, your enduring humility, your impressive strength, undying support and unconditional everlasting love. Thank you for being the most exceptional mom. I am blessed to be one of three souls with the privilege to call you Mom. I love you oh so very much! Happy Mothers Day! Love for Always, Your Mandy OxxO

  702. Kristina Hochstetler says:

I love my Mom. She has given me so many things over the years. Just once I would love to give her something I know she would love.

  703. Shannon Schleif says:

Two years ago my mother in law had me hooked on Vera Bradley. I just recently got my own mother hooked. She would love this. Maybe I could get her to carry the diapers for my newborn son. She always wants to help and this would be an easy way for her to help. After all she is who helped make me the woman I am today. I will always be grateful.

I love her so much! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  705. Sue H says:

My mom is such a nice person, always thinking of others with her generosity and well wishes. I’m sad for her recently though, because we lost my brother January 2010 and it’s really been a hard year. I love her.

  706. Kimberly Rolfe says:

As a mom of 4 boys (18, 16 and 7 year old twins)…Vera Bradley bags give me something feminine yet rugged enough to keep up with my rough bunch.

  707. Dawn M Adams says:

My own mom passed away a month before my first baby was born. My wonderful mother in law stepped in and has treated me like her own daughter ever since. She has been such a wonderful blessing to me and my entire family! I just purchased her her first Vera Bradley bag in March for her birthday and she is hooked! I would love to be able to give her another “something special” for Mother’s Day as a way of saying. …”Thanks, I Love You!”

  708. dperdue@uttermost.com says:

My mom raised 16 children. Helped with some of the neighborhood kids too. The most amazing woman I know.

  709. Lori Blair says:

My mom is the most amazing mother ever. My parents divorced when I was only 5. My mother took care of me and my older brother and sister. She did everything on her, as she never received any child support. She was a single parent of three and was able to keep all of us in Christian schools all our lives and still do so many of the things we wanted to do. She always put us before any of her needs. All three of us kids were in every sport and school program imaginable so after working all day she would be carting all of us around all night. Then get up in the morning and start it all over again. She almost never does anything or gets anything for herself…everyone else always comes first! Even now as I am 25 years old with my own child, my mom still helps the three of us out whenever she can. She is everything I could ever hope to be and I love her so much. She is a mother, a helper, an inspiration, a woman of God, my hero, my role model and closest friend.

  710. Beth says:

My mom could use this to cheer her up. She is the caregiver for my grandmother who has dementia (Alzheimer’s). My mom struggles with her role as a daughter but also the care giver. Despite the difficulties, she is cheerful, helping my grandmother cope with her sunset years with grace and dignity. My mom is also a quilter and sewer so I know she would appreciate the fabrics and craftsmanship you put into your bags.

  711. Jes says:

It would be amazing to win this bag for my Mom. She loves Vera Bradley bags just as much as my sister and I do. I would love to be able to give her the Mandy bag would show her how awesome she is.

  712. Bri says:

After raising six children and one surprise baby (me!) while working the night shift and taking care of a husband whose back was broken in a construction accident, my mother could not be a more positive, supportive, and selfless person. She has always put everyone before her own needs and wants, so any luxury (especially Vera Bradley!) always puts a twinkle in those pretty blue eyes – and I think the Watercolor Mandy would be a beautiful gift for a beautiful woman, inside and out.

  713. Katherine Smith says:

My mom would love this gift.

  714. Mary Kate says:

My mom is the best. I know that lots of people say that, but I truly mean it! 17 months ago, I was in the hospital with pregnancy complications of my own. My mom came everyday and sat beside me and encouraged me through the hard moments. She held my hand when I had to get shots in the butt for steroids for my son. She stayed in the room the whole time they prepared me for my emergency c-section and stood right outside the door as my son came into the world at just 2 lbs 11 oz. She went EVER NIGHT for over 7 weeks to the hospital to see her grandson and tell him how much he is loved. My mom encouraged me to pump breastmilk to the point that she helped me carry the pump everywhere! My mom deserves so much more than my praise. She is an angel and she truly deserves to be recognized as the one she is!! Thank you for reading our story!

  715. Susan Goggins says:

Being a mom is the best job I have ever had! One of the things my girls and I share is a love of all things Vera! Susan, Mom of Rachel (20) and Leah (12)

  716. Erin seader says:

I am a new mom and although it has had it’s challenging times, it is the most amazingly, beautiful job I have ever had! My little girl is my world and she completes my family and myself! Thanks to my mom who has shown me what a true, loving mother should be! And for all the other moms out there, your amazing!
    E. Seader

  717. Janie K says:

My mom has always been someone I look up to, and has always been a wonderful example of what a godly woman should be. Now I’m about to be a mom for the first time and I’m so thankful to have her wisdom and guidance!

  718. Karen says:

My mom is my best friend and, even more importantly, my very best Vera Bradley shopping buddy!

  719. Jennifer Giusto says:

My mom finally deserves to have the finer things. She was a nurse for 30 years and raised us four kids on her own. She was never able to spoil herself, because she always put our needs first. Becoming a nurse myself, I am ready to give her everything, this would be a nice start!

  720. My mom is even there for me. Better yet, she encourages my Vera habit – all the more reason I would love to give her another one!

  721. Amy Crawford says:

My mom bought a new Vera Bradley bag for me because she knows how much I love them, but she would never spend the money to buy one for herself. Making her kids (and grandkids) happy has always been more important than doing things for herself. She has ended up with several of my hand-me-down VBs, so it would be incredible to give her a brand-new VB!

  722. Candy says:

The Mandy bag is a perfect bag for a beautiful daughter who is a perfect mother to a perfect grandson.

  723. Debbie R says:

I feel I am doubly blest- both my Mom and my Mother-in-law are precious to me. My mom has been amazing all her life, working hard to make her home a wonderful place to grow up, and return to now with my own children. From the time my younger brother started first grade, she also had a full time job and still managed to do all the things only a mother can do. My Mother-in-law has always made me feel welcomed and loved as well. They have both been supportive and loving countless times, in so many ways. What a gift they are in my life. Happy Mother’s Day to all Mothers everywhere!

  724. Elizabeth says:

My mom is caring and has always been there for me. She is practically my best friend and I trust her with almost anything because I know she will always be there for me, even when I’m not home.

  725. PEGGY CARROLL says:

I LOVE VERA STUFF. I EVEN CHANGE OUT WITH SEASONS. I KEEP KIDS AND I USE THE ONE HANDLE TOTE WITH SILVER RINGS AS OUR CARRY ALL BAG BECAUSE I AM A HEART PATIENT AND IT ISN’T HEAVYWITH STUFF IN IT. I DON’T KNOW WHAT I DID BEFORE THE WRISTLETS EITHER AND THE LITTLE PURSE IT FITS IN.

  726. Cindy says:

Clean line, beautiful flowers, fit for a Mother!

  727. Regan L says:

My mom is too far away from me but in a pinch she will be here asap. A three hour plane ride is nothing to her. I miss having her for the little stuff, like going shopping at my favorite shop when the new line of Vera comes out but its a comfort to know that when I need her, I have her to count on.

  728. Sola V. says:

I have the Mandy in Lemon Parfait and my mom absolutely loves it. It would be awesome if I could give her one of her own.

  729. Helen C. Stetina says:

I wish my Mom hadn’t gone to Heaven yet…I’d love to share all these wonderful things with her…

  730. jacqueb says:

My mom has always been really sweet about taking my used bags. However I have never parted with a Vera Bradley bag; therefore she has never had one…maybe I should get one for her this year. She deserves one to call her very own. Love you mom!!!

  731. Jacqueline says:

My mother was recently diagnosed with MS, but she refuses to let the diagnosis get her down. Although she may be physically challenged, she can live with MS and enjoy life. I want her feel beautiful and loved this Mother’s Day. The Mandy in English Meadow would do the trick. The light, but durable material is ideal for someone with a physical handicap. In addition, the fashionable Mandy has six interior compartments and a zipper. These features would simplify the life of this mother of four.

  732. Natalie DeTurk says:

Now that I am a mother of 3 children, I have learned what a self-less job being a mother is. I tell my Mom everyday that I appreciate her for everything she did for my brothers and I. This year will be 10 years since my brother past away. I could not even imagine losing a child. Mothers’ Day is bittersweet for my Mom these days. I think the best gift we can give her is to just be home with her so she knows we are still a family.

  733. Star says:

My mother has been there thru thick and thin, she has had a difficult past 2 years. Back surgery that didn’t go well, then she and my father were hit head on by a drunk driver and finally hip replacement surgery that didn’t go all so well either. The dr. accidentially broke her femur while inserting the hip. She has been on a rough road for recovery, but has been strong and everyone’s rock thru it all. She has been an amazing role model for me and also my daughter. She deserves something really special!!

  734. Jill Ibarra says:

My Mom would love this!! She is great!

  735. Jill Ibarra says:

Love this bag and so will my Mom.

  736. Michelle says:

My mom took care of my brother and I as a single parent and did an amazing job! I now have 4 children that she lives for everyday, even though she is now disabled and its very hard for her to get around she still manges to go to most of my childrens sporting events and school functions! I just bought her her first Vera purse for Easter and this one would be perfect for her walker bag.

  737. Rachel says:

Love your stuff, my mom would love to get something from you for Mother’s Day. I just ordered my first purse from you and I love it.

  738. Karen H. says:

You have found your winner!!! I don’t think that the website could hold all of the kind, loving, compassionate things my mom has done for me, not counting my brother, her mother, father and brothers and sisters or my stepdad her husband for 33 yrs and her 7 grandchildren. Not to mention that during the last 17 years of my moms life she has become permantly disabled while at one time having her mother with demintia, her bed-ridden brother and her husband recovering from lung cancer. She is the strongest, most selfless person I know. She deserves this bag plus so much more that we could never give her. WE ARE THE WINNERS BECAUSE GOD GAVE US HER! SO help us show her how lucky and blessed we are! PICK MY MOM<3

  739. Carole Hooper says:

The Mandy is perfect for any Mom! Love the new patterns and colors!

  740. Tracy Owens says:

Can’t find my comment so ill do another one..
My mom has helped me through many things! I am a nursing student with three children and cant really afford to buy her much for mothers day so if i won this purse to give to her oh it would be wonderful! We both love vera!!!

  741. Elizabeth Heffington says:

Throughout my life my mom has been kind, loving, and fun. One of the only problems I’ve had with my mom is that sometimes my friends have come close to liking her more than me! After my dad’s death last August my mother has steadfastly worked on making her life as good as it can me, which extends to the gifts she gives to me. I love my mom!

  742. Leanne Heern says:

My mom is the best because she taught me motherly love has little to do with biology and much more to do with nurturing. My mom didn’t start being my mom until she married my dad when I was 12 years old. She was an awesome example to me in her character, her faith, and her nurturing of others. She supported me through an eating disorder, a divorce, and a remarriage….One of the most precious things she did for me was help me adopt our first child, Christopher! She’s a nurse midwife and was intimately involved in helping Christopher become part of our family. In fact, she helped deliver him! They have a special bond… What’s ironic, is every day she helps women become mothers, and yet, has never had a biological child of her own☺ She has contributed to hundreds of women celebrating Mother’s Day…and I think she is the best Mom in the whole world! I would not be who I am without her…. So, I think the Mandy bag would be a great treat for such a great role model!☺

  743. Amanda Rae says:

my name is amanda so if i was able to give this to my mom it would truly be “to mom with love, mandy”. my mother is the most amazing person i have ever met. she truly inspires me to accomplish so many things in life. she is a strong willed and loving person and i can’t imagine my life without her. being away at college has brought us so close together, so being able to give her this bag on a college student’s budget would really allow me to show my appreciation for her. she is an incredible woman and only deserves the best, which is exactly what vera bradley can offer πŸ™‚

  744. Erin says:

My mom is super supportive of everything I do from traveling for work to starting charities. With out her I wouldn’t be half the woman I am today.

  745. Becky S says:

My Mom would love the Mandy bag! Thanks for the chance to win.

  746. Annie T. says:

My mom always told me I could do anything.

  747. Jane Clayton says:

My beautiful stepmom has very recently had to move to assisted living. She still does get to come home for weekends and go out to dinner with family, so I think Mandy in Watercolor would be the perfect gift for this transition period. It would not only cheer her up, but still give her the feeling of independence she needs right now.

  748. Andrea says:

Every Mother’s Day, I am reminded how wonderful my mom is. In 2007, on her 65 birthday, she became gravely ill with sepsis. The Dr’s expected her not to make it through the night. We stayed by her side for days in ICU while we waited and waited. Thanks to a great team of doctors and a miracle drug, she pulled through and made it. After many months of recovery and rehab, she was back to herself again. It was truly a miracle that she made it through. I speak to her every day and she is truly my best friend, which is something I fully realized when I almost lost her. Every year we try to give her something to remind her how special she is and how lucky we are to have her. I think she would just love a Vera bag.

  749. Valerie Steen says:

How do I begin? My mother became a “mommie” at a very young age and with very, very little raised my sister and I. There were times in our life when we ate and she didn’t just so we had food. As we got older she did without basic needs for herself to make sure my sister and I got to participate in dance classes, softball and other activities like our friends. When I was diagnosed with a brain tumor my senior year of high school, my mother stopped everything she was doing and stayed by my side for almost two years while I was in and out of the hospital. Even today as adults, my sister and I still rely on our “mommie” for daily support and advice. My mother is the strongest, bravest, hardest working and the most beautiful mommie anyone could ever have. She truly is the definition of a mother and she is the best teacher my sister and I could ever have. I feel that the qualities that she possesses is the same qualities you find in Vera Bradley bags: strong, hard working, durable, reliable and BEAUTIFUL. I would love to win this bag for my mother and present it to her on Mother Day. Giving back to her is something I wish I could do more of.

  750. Denise says:

My mom is the greatest in more ways than one. She has always been a great and caring mom, but she doesn’t just care about her family, she cares about all kinds of people. She has helped countless people over the years to take care of sick and elderly people until they either have no other choice than to be put in a nursing home or until they pass away. She visits these people even after they are put in the nursing home and will bring it to the home and the family’s attention if she feels they are not being properly taken care of. She took care of her sister in another state, away from her family, for three months while she was dying of cancer. She is selfless and just a wonderful person. She makes me want to be a better person. She deserves all the good things, one of which would be this awesome bag!

  751. Teresa says:

My mom is the most wonderful mother anyone could ask for. She puts everyone before her own self. She has three daughters and each one of us is the most important thing to her. She goes out of her way to make each one of us feel special, not only for us but also her grandchildren. My mother took care of my son so that I could go to college and make a better life for myself and my son and I will never forget what a wonderful thing she did for me. She recently had a major surgery and is in the recovery process and is not able to get out of the house. What a great surprise it would be for her. This would cheer her up immensely. Good luck to everyone.

  752. Lisa says:

At 76 years of age my mom can still run circles around most of us. She is always helping others less fortunate and will do without to help someone else in need. My mom has always been the glue that holds our family together, even through the death of our dad, her husband of 45 years, and her own recent cancer treatment. She is one of those “glass half full” people, always seeing the bright side to things. Mom is always fashionable and well-dressed and would love to sport the Mandy.

My mom is the greatest. She is 76 years young and still hangs with my sister and I in anything we do. She loves to go trips we may take and we always take her because she is so much fun. She has been there for us through sickness, child birth, surgeries…whatever…she is always there when we need her. She still takes care of her own home, pool and yard and can work circles around me. She is very special to me and I love her very much. I would love to win this awesome prize to surprise her with.

  763. Sarah says:

My momma is a beautiful mother of four! She’s in great shape, loves life, and brings joy to everyone around her. She’s faced a lot of obstacles in her time but has worked hard to provide a better life for her four children! She is an amazing woman and I love her so much!

  764. Juliana says:

My mother is the strongest, most supportive woman I have ever met. Just two days ago she spent Easter Sunday with my sister, who was in labor. She stood by my sister and her husband’s sides through a difficult and traumatic labor and c section (with complications). She got 4 hours of sleep that night and spent the entire next day with my sister as she recovered. She has always put my sister and me before herself, and I am the person I am today because of my mother.

  765. Megan Brackett says:

My Mom is marvelous because she is my best friend and my whole world! At almost 23, she is my very best friend! We have always had a very close bond and I cannot imagine life another way. My mom has gone through a lot of health problems to …be able to be here with me today. She is the strongest person I know, and has basically been my mother and father both, growing up with my dad who’s adult ADD has made her life very stressful. She pushes all of us everyday, and is our support and backbone 110%. She is the kind of person who goes with out, to give to her family and friends. She gave up so much to stay home with her children so we wouldnt be put in daycare, If that meant all she could afford was beans and hot dogs for her dinner, it was alright with her. My mom will give you her last dollar in her pocket, give you the shirt off her back and ask nothing in return.
I can’t really say why she is so wonderful in enough words, and I’m sure everyone else’s reasons and mothers are marvelous too. I can only hope that one day I am half the strong and giving person that my mother is!

  766. Gina says:

My mother raised 6 kids as if it were a breeze and today
she still looks in on other folks. If I could bake one cake, she
would be done with 5 to share with others. She says she had to
be fast with 6 kids and a husband to keep up with. She’s a Godly
woman who’s prayed many times over for family and friends.
I’m still running to just keep up with her and dad. They are my
inspiration and I thank God for them, they are true blessings.

My parents divorced when I was 12, the oldest of three. We didn’t have much but she did such a great job with what we did have, we never felt like we went without. This would be a great treat for her since she never treats herself and still does for others.

My mother is 87 years young. She is the most positive, unselfish and caring person I know. She has always supported me and my siblings in all that we do. She gets satifaction is just being with us and sharing good times. She loves to travel but, because of limitations, does not get to do it as much as she would like. Myy mom, plain and simple, is the best! She is the greatest mom and friend I could ask for. She is funny, kind, nurturing, and helpful. She has always worked hard (at time 3 jobs) to provide for me and supports me in my decisions- she gives advice, but doesn’t insist I take it. We always have a blast together (like during our yearly trip to the Vera Bradley outlet sale in Ft. Wayne) and she always shares wonderful memories of my father (who passed away almost 5 years ago) and my childhood with me. I used to get annoyed when people said I was like her, but as I grow up, I appreciate it more every day and feel lucky to be her daughter!

  778. BarbaraA says:

My dear mom passed 3 years ago, but my mother-in-law has filled the void so nicely. She always looks out for my family and picks up little gifts for us all for no particular reason. We both have bought Vera for each other, so I know she’d love a Mandy, and I’d love to give her one! I couldn’t ask for a better MIL!

Our Mom was married when she was 17 and had all 5 of us by the time she was 28. After raising us, she became more active in our community. So I would be thrilled to win a Mandy for my mom as she would greatly appreciate it. Happy Mothers Day!

My mother turned 85 in January of this year. She is a strong and loving woman now weaked by cancer. This line has become my new fave!

My mom is amazing. I’m a college student so she helps me out as much as she can, whether its with school work or money. She always treats me extra special when I go home and takes me out to lunch and dinner a lot. I know she really wants to see my brother, who is a Marine, on Mothers day and she wont be able to so I bet this bag would make her really happy!

My mom is 83 and is still the best mom ever. She cares so much about her kids and her 4 grandkids and 3 great grandkids and would do anything for them.. She volunteers at her church every week .
She recently had her car broken in to at the library and they took her Vera Bradley purse and matching wallet my mom figured she was just going to be at the library for just a moment . They used her credit cards at gas stations all over our area. The police called her informing that the purse was found in a ditch full of mud and other dirty specimens. There was no way her purse could ever look the same or be used again. The wallet was never returned. I’m planning on replacing her purse for Mothers Day as she deserves another Vera purse. But am also hopeful she wins this special purse giveaway. Thank you for allowing us to try and win it. : )
